Chapter 192: Your Name

~7 min read 1,262 words

The girls in the class suddenly cheered, but Hermione was not among them; she frowned tightly.

Harry and Allen, standing on the podium, frowned as well; they did not want to be taught by this fool for another year.

"And the better news is, Headmaster Dumbledore has approved my application," Lockhart announced excitedly.

The cheers in the classroom suddenly grew louder again.

Allen looked at Lockhart, who stood with his back to him, showing off like a Kong Que, and dangerous light appeared in his eyes.

He felt Professor Dumbledore could not fail to see that Lockhart was an unlearned, fame-seeking fool, but he did not understand what consideration led Professor Dumbledore to approve Lockhart's application to continue teaching.

He could endure another year of learning nothing in Defense Against the Dark Arts class, but he could not endure being humiliated by Lockhart in Defense Against the Dark Arts class for another year.

A thought suddenly arose in his heart to drive Lockhart out of Hogwarts; this thought was very strong.

But he had no good ideas for this matter at the moment.

So he told Yoder about it, hoping he could help think of a way.

"Actually, this matter is not hard to accomplish. If you want to drive him out of Hogwarts, the best way is to ruin his reputation and destroy his name; then he will automatically lose his qualification to teach at Hogwarts," Yoder said in a deep voice.

"If I could make that Lockhart ruin his reputation and destroy his name, I would have done it long ago. Although Lockhart is very flamboyant, he is still very careful to keep his secrets, so I currently cannot find any evidence of Lockhart's fraud," Allen rejected this method.

"Then use the second method! Make him develop a fear of Hogwarts, afraid to stay at Hogwarts, and then he will not think about continuing to teach at Hogwarts." Yoder was indeed very professional and sinister in this regard.

"That is a good idea, but how can we make him develop fear of Hogwarts? Remember, he is an adult!" Allen said, his head aching.

Yoder smiled silently. "Isn't the most terrifying thing in Hogwarts right now in your hands?"

Allen suddenly looked at Yoder; he understood Yoder's meaning and had to admit Yoder had come up with a good idea.

But he was still somewhat hesitant. "Is this a bit too cruel?"

"I have already given the idea; how to do it is up to you. Anyway, if he does not leave Hogwarts, the one who suffers in the end will be you." Yoder ended the topic, leaving only Allen there to ponder.

That night, Allen returned to the abandoned girls' bathroom again. He opened the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets, entered the tunnel leading to the Chamber of Secrets, where the Basilisk was recovering from its injuries.

During this period, Allen had taken the Basilisk to the Forbidden Forest several times to hunt Acromantulas. These hunts yielded results; the Basilisk ate the corpses of more than ten Acromantulas. Sufficient food allowed the Basilisk's injuries to heal quickly, and it no longer looked weak.

Additionally, the modification of the Basilisk's memories had never stopped for Allen. After accumulating over many days, the Basilisk's obedience to Allen had become even higher.

Now the Basilisk was closing its eyes tightly and obediently placing its head before Allen. Looking at the huge Basilisk, Allen finally made up his mind.

Lockhart's office was on the third floor, and the abandoned girls' bathroom was on the second floor; the two places were actually very close, so controlling the Basilisk to attack Lockhart silently without being discovered was not a difficult thing.

This day, Allen stayed there until two in the morning. Wearing Harry's Invisibility Cloak, after confirming three times that no one else was in the corridors on the second and third floors, he let the Basilisk slither out of the abandoned girls' bathroom. Before this, he had ordered the Basilisk to keep its eyes closed the entire time.

The Basilisk moved through the corridors of Hogwarts. Its hard scales rubbed against the ground, making a rustling sound. They soon arrived at the door of Lockhart's office on the third floor.

The Basilisk used the tip of its tail to "gently" knock on the wooden door of the office.

The wooden door emitted a dull sound...

"Who is it? So late?" Lockhart's voice came from inside the office. He had not fallen asleep at this time. He opened the door in confusion; the pleasant life in Hogwarts for a year had caused him to lose his most basic vigilance...

Before he could even see the visitor's appearance, the Basilisk whipped him unconscious with its tail "gently," and then the Basilisk used its tail to coil him and retreat back into the Chamber of Secrets tunnel...

The door to Lockhart's office remained open. The night wind blew the door, making a "creak-creak" sound. In the office, the Lockharts in the picture frames covering the walls had lost their usual smiles; some had even disappeared without a trace...

Allen, under the Invisibility Cloak, silently watched all this, then left silently.

Lockhart would spend the night sleeping with the Basilisk, and the night was still very long...

The next morning, Hagrid found Lockhart, who was mentally unstable, at the main gate of Hogwarts Castle. He was trying desperately to escape Hogwarts. He told everyone he met that there was a sixty-foot-long giant snake in Hogwarts, and he kept wanting to leave immediately. No one's persuasion worked.

Madame Pomfrey, Professor Snape, and Professor Dumbledore tried various methods to treat him, but none were effective.

Finally, it was decided to send him to St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries to receive treatment.

However, when people were packing Lockhart's luggage in the office, they discovered abundant evidence that Lockhart had stolen other people's adventure experiences. This caused Lockhart to instantly become ruined in reputation and destroyed in name.

The Daily Prophet reported this matter on its front page for three consecutive days.

So Lockhart lost his qualification to teach at Hogwarts.

Professor Dumbledore began to have a headache again regarding the choice of professor for Defense Against the Dark Arts for the new school year.

But Allen did not care much about all this; he devoted all his energy to the upcoming exams...

The 1992 school year at Hogwarts thus came to an end. The remaining days of this school year were spent under dazzling sunlight.

The house points this year were very close. Although Professor Snape deducted many house points from Gryffindor, Gryffindor won all the Quidditch matches this year. These bonus points ultimately allowed Gryffindor to win the House Cup again.

In the blink of an eye, they were about to take the Hogwarts Express home.

Harry wrote the Dursleys' phone number for Allen and the other three. "Call me at the Dursleys', okay? I can't stand talking only to Dudley for two whole months..."

Allen carefully put away the parchment on which Harry had written the phone number.

He suddenly remembered something. "How is your new name coming along?" he wrote in the diary.

Yoder had recently been saying he wanted to give himself a new name and draw a clear line between himself and Voldemort.

"I have already thought of one!" Ink suddenly appeared on the blank parchment.

"Please call me Rambo Yoder from now on!"
