Chapter 246: Yodel's Advanced Studies Class
This was a very reasonable explanation.
So how could one summon an entirely new Patronus?
The answer was obvious.
What controlled everything was likely the value corresponding to the "serial number" parameter within the Patronus Charm.
Through multiple experiments, Allen discovered that this value remained constant.
Allen speculated that Mr. Weasley must have altered the value corresponding to this parameter while drunk, which allowed him to summon a completely new Patronus.
As for those wizards recorded in magical history whose Patronus forms changed or who became unable to summon a complete Patronus at all, it was highly probable that tremendous upheavals had caused the value of the "serial number" parameter in their Patronus Charms to change.
Changing this parameter seemed very difficult, but for Allen, it was no trouble at all.
He quickly decided to test his hypothesis; soon, he modified the parameter inside his Mind Palace and cast the Patronus Charm once again.
The Patronus summoned this time had changed its form entirely; it was a silver-white panda, yet its movements lacked the agility of his jellyfish Patronus, clearly indicating very low intelligence.
The two Patronuses played together in the air, and Allen's mood became exceedingly cheerful.
He had found a method to cultivate multiple magical intelligences; theoretically, if he wished, he could cultivate an infinite number of magical intelligences to control powerful transfigured beasts to fight for him.
Since these magical intelligences originated from the Patronuses he summoned, they would naturally obey his commands.
This should reduce the risk of a mechanical uprising somewhat, Allen thought irresponsibly in his heart.
In truth, Allen's entire scheme still faced one huge problem: how to fuse a Patronus possessing high-level intelligence with his transfigured beasts?
Allen had absolutely no clue regarding this issue.
Because a magical car was essentially an industrial product modified by magic, whereas Allen's transfigured beasts were, to some extent, living entities; the two were simply incomparable.
However, this problem did not stop Allen from wanting to continue his research.
Even if the high-level magical intelligences cultivated through this method could not be used for his transfigured beasts, he would not regret researching the subject of magical intelligence, because this direction was simply too fascinating.
Mr. Weasley's practice had already proven that high-level magical intelligences cultivated by this method could be applied to machinery, which meant he could use this method to create an HP version of a magical industrial revolution.
These high-level magical intelligences would serve as both the producers and the managers within this magical industry.
However, Allen currently had little interest in this; perhaps only after he became the White Dark Lord and controlled the Wizarding World would he consider this direction.
Allen quickly summoned one different corporeal Patronus after another; the dim underground tunnel was illuminated by the light of the Patronuses until it resembled broad daylight.
He continuously extracted his own memories and fed them to the Patronuses one by one, and the Patronuses happily scrambled to seize these memories.
He had also given thought to why memories could serve as nourishment for Patronuses to evolve high-level intelligence.
Because memories were a collection of a person's experiences, and within this collection were contained their conduct, ways of thinking, and methods of adaptation; these things were the best learning resources for weak magical intelligences.
Furthermore, the memories extracted by memory magic likely shared certain similarities with the form in which Patronuses existed in this world.
The Patronuses could quickly absorb the memories Allen fed them, though how long it would take to fully digest them remained unknown.
Soon, Allen began to feel tired; mainly, the sensation of extracting memories was truly too unpleasant, and he was not Voldemort, capable of ruthlessly extracting all the memories from the first eighteen years of his life.
Thinking of this, Allen's eyes lit up; why exhaust himself extracting his own memories when he already had a ready-made memory repository at hand?
Moreover, this memory repository was so vast and comprehensive.
Recently, Yodel had been quite idle, so it was perfect to find something for him to do.
Thus, Allen happily made his decision.
He found Yodel within the diary and explained the matter to him in detail.
"You want me to use my memories inside the Mind Palace to cultivate all those Patronuses of yours into high-level magical intelligences?" Yodel asked in surprise.
"Yes, you are the best candidate for this matter; your advantages in this aspect are simply too great," Allen said.
"A very interesting and highly creative hypothesis," Yodel remarked with great interest.
"So, do you agree?"
"Mm, it has been a long time since I encountered something so interesting," Yodel said softly.
In this matter, Yodel was indeed the most suitable candidate; although Allen did not fully trust him yet, he was not afraid of any little tricks Yodel might play.
For instance, cultivating these magical intelligences incorrectly, or perhaps brainwashing them.
Allen was not worried about this, because these Patronuses were summoned by him; he feared no deviation in their path, for he held absolute control over these Patronuses—he only needed them to possess high-level magical intelligence.
Moreover, since Allen was cultivating these high-level magical intelligences for combat purposes, if they absorbed Voldemort's memories and inherited a fraction of Voldemort's cunning, that would be exactly what Allen hoped to see.
Furthermore, acquiring high-level magical intelligence was only the first step; just as a person wishing to operate a tank must undergo extensive training.
And the transfigured beasts Allen intended to design would likely possess various skills, which would certainly not be easier to operate than a tank.
Therefore, these Patronuses possessing high-level magical intelligence still needed to practice how to control the transfigured beasts in combat and summarize tactics and strategies; only then could the full combat potential of the transfigured beasts be unleashed.
Thus, Allen sent the first batch of seven different Patronuses into the Mind Palace within the diary; the silver mist composing the Patronuses indeed shared intricate connections with memories, allowing them to be pulled into the Mind Palace with surprising ease.
Allen had worried that these Patronuses would dissipate quickly upon entering the Mind Palace, so he had already recorded the "serial numbers" of these Patronuses, preparing to summon them again the moment they dissipated and send them back to continue their advanced studies at Yodel's Intelligence Improvement Class.
However, Allen's preparations proved unnecessary; the seven Patronuses settled smoothly within the Mind Palace, showing no intention whatsoever of dissipating.
This phenomenon left Allen contemplative; keeping the Patronuses from dissipating was the prerequisite for having them control transfigured beasts, and now it seemed achieving this was not particularly difficult.
