Chapter 67: If I Were Voldemort

~7 min read 1,321 words

Professor Quirrell was startled awake by Allen's words once again, and this time he finally realized the series of losses of composure he had just displayed.

He reined in his expression, striving to appear calm, looked at Allen indifferently, and said softly, "Then tell me; I am very interested in this topic..."

Allen did not notice the series of changes in Professor Quirrell; he began to immerse himself in his own daydreams. Suddenly, he thought of the methods the Lighthouse Nation used in later times to govern, and he suddenly felt they were very suitable for this small society of the Wizarding World.

"I feel that the wizards of the Voldemort era were horizontally divided by Voldemort into two classes—the pure-blood class and the non-pure-blood class," Allen said slowly, weighing his words, "the pure-blood class above, the non-pure-blood class below."

Professor Quirrell adjusted his sitting posture, elegantly adopting an attitude of listening with both ears, a posture that Allen found very gratifying.

"Voldemort at that time simply did not realize where his greatest advantage lay, nor did he make use of his greatest advantage." Allen continued speaking.

"Then what do you think is the Dark Lord's greatest advantage?" Professor Quirrell asked tactfully; he was clearly good at conversation and understood how to make people more eager to speak.

"Voldemort's greatest advantage is that his followers all come from ancient pure-blood families, possessing resources that can very easily influence public opinion and the policies of the Ministry of Magic."

Professor Quirrell seemed a bit disappointed after hearing this; he said indifferently, "The Dark Lord also made full use of these resources at that time."

"Voldemort did use these resources, but his direction was completely wrong! He only used the power of public opinion to promote his ridiculous blood theory and his own cruelty!" Allen paid no attention to Professor Quirrell's disappointment; he stood up and made a thunderous declaration.

"Making a revolution means making many friends and making few enemies. Voldemort was just too arrogant! He was already hiding in the shadows; he could have first used these resources to throw the British Wizarding World into chaos, causing his potential opponents to split into small groups."

Professor Quirrell sneered, speaking in a mocking tone, "Relying solely on public opinion and influence over policy to throw the British Wizarding World into chaos? And cause opponents to split? Wizards and the Ministry of Magic are not stupid! Young man, you understand neither wizards nor the British Wizarding World!"

"No one understands wizards better than me! No one understands the British Wizarding World better than me!" Allen immediately became indignant; he waved his hands and delivered an inspiring speech in the room.

"Blood theory only horizontally divides wizards, splitting them into two classes. If I were Voldemort, I would use public opinion and certain policies to vertically divide wizards again."

"If I were Voldemort, I would use public opinion to heavily hype feminism, pushing the Ministry of Magic to enact feminist laws; this would create gender opposition among wizards."

"If I were Voldemort, I would use public opinion to heavily hype the issue of homosexuality and push the Ministry of Magic to legalize homosexuality; this would further cause a split within the wizarding community."

"If I were Voldemort, I would use public opinion to hype the issue of skin color, fabricate cases of discrimination and oppression against black people, then launch a 'Black Lives Matter' movement, using skin color issues to split wizarding society."

"If I were Voldemort, I would use public opinion to hype the faith issues of Muggle-born wizards; after all, most Muggle-born wizards have faith, such as Christianity, ***ism, using religious issues to exacerbate contradictions between them."

"If I were Voldemort, I would use public opinion to hype contradictions between ethnic groups; after all, Muggle-born wizards each have their own ethnicities, using ethnic contradictions to split wizarding society."

By the end, Allen's tone became increasingly resonant.

Throughout the process, he secretly observed Professor Quirrell's reactions, enjoying another instance of Professor Quirrell's acting and face-changing.

Watching his expression shift from mockery to surprise, then to terror, this time took less than 10 seconds.

Seeing the dazed look in Professor Quirrell's eyes caused by shock, Allen felt fulfilled and gratified.

Alas! The life of a keyboard politician is just this simple, unadorned, and boring!

After a long while, Professor Quirrell finally came to his senses from his chaotic emotions and asked eagerly, "What is the name of this strategy? Speak in detail quickly!"

At this moment, Allen calmly took a sip of water, arranged his water cup neatly, and only then spoke leisurely:

"This strategy is named Political Correctness, also called Identity Politics; it is the specialty of a people in the Muggle world called the Anglo-Saxons."

"Simply put, using various identity labels divides the crowd. Originally all non-pure-blood class, they now become various LGBT and messy groups, representing only the interests of a few; the result is they cannot unite."

"Meanwhile, in the struggle of identity politics, class struggle is ignored and covered up. The non-pure-blood class, due to identity opposition, even stands with pure-blood class members of the same identity. The result is that the pure-blood class continues to profit while the non-pure-blood class exhausts itself internally."

"If Voldemort had been able to use this strategy back then, the balance of power between him and his opponents would have undergone earth-shaking changes; his opponents would no longer be able to unite to oppose him!"

After finishing, Allen felt refreshed; this guidance of the world and stirring of words even gave him a feeling of holding a feather fan and wearing a silk scarf; there was no help for it, keyboard politics is just this happy!

As for Professor Quirrell's shock, he was not at all surprised; this strategy was the governing policy of the Democracy and Oil nations in his past life! The Lighthouse Nation even played this move to perfection; Professor Quirrell was just a bumpkin from this isolated Wizarding World, so he would definitely be shocked by this strategy.

At this moment, Allen suddenly felt a bit thirsty again; he picked up his cup only to find it empty. Just as he wanted to use the Qing Quan Zhou to put some water in, he discovered that Professor Quirrell had somehow come to his side and gently took the cup from his hand.

"Let me!" Professor Quirrell's tone held a hint of respect for the first time.

He took Allen's water cup, did not even use the Qing Quan Zhou to refill it, but walked to the corner of the room and poured a cup from the kettle placed there.

"Oh my, it's cold; my body can't drink cold water!" Seeing Professor Quirrell's actions, Allen's brain seemed to have a glitch, and he said pretentiously.

Professor Quirrell did not get angry because of this; instead, he summoned a flame to heat the water, then placed it before Allen and said, "Please give me your guidance in the future!"

Allen took a sip of the water in the cup; the temperature was just right. He sipped it carefully; although it was plain water, he tasted a sweet feeling from it.

Then he spoke leisurely, "I am just speaking big words; Professor, please do not take them to heart. Today's chat was very pleasant; next time we can discuss the topic of Voldemort's vision being too small. It is quite late; I should return, otherwise getting caught by Filch would not be very good."

Professor Quirrell readily agreed to Allen's departure; he also had many things to digest today.

Professor Quirrell actually even escorted him to the door this time.

The dim office fell silent again.

After a long while, a young voice appeared again, "Master! This kid Finis is truly terrifying!"

After quite a while, a cold and sharp voice finally appeared, filled with determination:

"The Death Eaters need such talent!"
