Chapter 82: The Troubles of the Dragon Claw Hand

~7 min read 1,358 words

Allen was truly frozen in place this time, but he still had to use the toilet.

He looked at his left claw; the nails were sharp, and the claw was far less dexterous than a human hand. He stretched the dragon claw into various poses, feeling only awkwardness.

He looked again at his right hoof, feeling this was even less reliable, not even as dexterous as the left claw.

He carefully controlled his left claw to undo his belt; nervous sweat broke out on him because he knew that if he accidentally sliced the belt, he wouldn't be able to leave the house today.

Fortunately, undoing the belt wasn't very difficult; Allen quickly unfastened it, then he began to face the next problem.

How could he aim?

He looked at his left claw again; the back of the claw bore sharp barbs, and the tip was incredibly sharp. If he used the left claw to aim, one slip and he would castrate himself!

Allen dared not take this risk. Although he felt that even if he accidentally castrated himself today, Hogwarts' Hospital Wing would have a way to heal him, it would still leave a psychological shadow! So after much consideration, Allen decided not to take the risk.

Allen looked at his right hoof again; this one felt much more agreeable. The hoof was smooth and rounded, with no sharp edges, and the short white hair on it was very soft. Although Allen couldn't control the right hoof to perform precise operations, it could still serve as a support, and the right hoof was currently the most suitable thing to act as a support.

After a difficult operation, the right hoof finally achieved the goal of becoming a support...

Allen slowly controlled the right hoof to aim, then he carefully began to fire...

But things did not go as wished; in this matter, aiming did not guarantee hitting the target, and Allen encountered exactly this situation.

He immediately noticed the trajectory was slightly off and hurriedly tried to adjust the trajectory by adjusting the support, but his right hoof was simply too uncoordinated. For a moment, he failed to adjust the trajectory correctly and had to make a large adjustment again. Thus, a vicious cycle formed; he had to continuously adjust the trajectory, forcing him to switch firing modes from full-auto to burst-fire...

In the end, Allen still completed the task. Although it changed from the planned machine-gun suppression to a sniper shot, after finishing this, sweat beaded on his forehead.

Finally came putting on the pants; for his situation, putting them on was far more difficult than taking them off.

Fortunately, Allen thought of the Levitation Charm. He carefully held his wand with his left claw, tried many times, and finally established a connection with the pants, controlling them to put themselves on automatically.

Having done all this, Allen only felt his stomach rumbling with hunger and hurried downstairs to the Great Hall.

It was now lunchtime; Harry and the other two were dining at the Gryffindor long table. They had things on their minds, so their appetites were not very good.

"Do you think Allen can succeed?" Harry said, poking a sausage in his plate with a fork.

Hermione put down the book in her hands: "I think Allen will most likely succeed..."

Before she could finish speaking, she saw Allen rushing into the Great Hall. Allen no longer looked weak and listless as he had in the morning, and Hermione immediately waved to him.

As soon as Allen sat down, Ron hurriedly leaned in: "Did you succeed? Did you succeed?" He had already seen Allen covering his hands.

Allen extended his left claw and grabbed a chicken leg from the table; the form of the claw made Harry and the other two gasp in surprise.

"You succeeded!" Hermione said quietly but excitedly; she also recognized this as the claw of a Norwegian Ridgeback.

Allen carefully stuffed the chicken leg into his mouth. The form of his hand had already attracted the attention of others at the table; some young wizards had already started pointing and whispering at Allen.

"Very successful! Or rather, too successful! My right hand doesn't hurt at all now; I feel it healing rapidly." Allen swallowed a mouthful of chicken and said quickly.

"There are too many people here; we'll talk later."

Allen added quietly.

After a bout of frantic eating, Allen finally felt his stomach full. He decided to have one last glass of pumpkin juice to seal the deal. He extended his claw to grab the cup containing the pumpkin juice; the cup emitted a painful creaking sound under his claw. He still couldn't control his left claw properly.

At the same time, Allen was also relieved; at least his left hand was a claw. If both hands had transformed into unicorn hooves, he would have had to hold the cup in his mouth to drink.

"Are you still going to attend afternoon classes?" Harry watched the cup in Allen's claw with some concern.

"Of course! The final exams are coming soon; we can't miss classes now, or we might not get full marks!" Allen finally put down the poor cup; many claw marks now adorned it.

Allen found an empty classroom to show them his right hoof. This bizarre style of drawing caused the three of them to gasp in surprise, and Allen even saw a trace of envy in Ron's expression.

It is worth mentioning that the healing ability of the unicorn's hoof is indeed very strong; the bite marks on the hoof have now faded significantly...

Ron also told Allen about his brother Charlie's reply. Charlie instructed them to bring the baby dragon to the highest tower of Hogwarts at midnight on Friday; at that time, his friends would take Norbert away...

This news made Allen exhale a long sigh of relief...

The afternoon was Charms class; Professor Flitwick led them in reviewing the spells learned this year.

"Now let us review the Levitation Charm; this is a mandatory exam topic every year! Many students rarely use it and may have become rusty. Everyone, practice quickly now; if you encounter problems, you can ask me at any time! Let's begin!" Professor Flitwick announced loudly while standing on a pile of books.

The moment he finished speaking, he was struck by Yi Dao Mo Zhou...

He immediately toppled behind the pile of books, and a plume of black smoke rose from behind the pile...

The young wizards in the classroom instantly fell into chaos...

"Silence!" Professor Flitwick, his face covered in soot, somehow climbed back onto the pile of books and waved his wand to create a tremendous roar.

The young wizards instantly fell silent.

"Who ambushed me?" Professor Flitwick scanned the young wizards in the entire class. His expression was angry, but paired with his soot-blackened face, it looked ridiculous. "You should know that I was once the Dueling Champion; I hate ambushes the most. Step out openly and immediately!"

"Professor, it was me! It wasn't intentional; my wand movement just went a bit wrong." Allen forced himself to step forward.

When Professor Flitwick saw it was Allen, his expression softened somewhat, and he also noticed Allen's left claw.

To prevent Allen's claw from injuring himself and the wand, Hermione thoughtfully found some tape and wrapped the sharp nails and barbs thickly with many layers. Combined with the fact that the dragon claw itself was unsuitable for holding a wand, this caused Allen's wand movements to deviate when he cast a spell, directly knocking down Professor Flitwick.

Professor Flitwick instantly understood what had happened, but his anger had not yet subsided: "I know your innate Transfiguration today will cause deviations when you cast spells, but I know your wand hand has always been your right hand. Why did you use your left hand to cast a spell today? Did you intentionally want to ambush the teacher?"

Allen felt his head throb from this accusation. He exchanged a glance with Hermione, and Hermione nodded worriedly.

So Allen sighed and slowly showed his white donkey hoof to Professor Flitwick...
