Chapter 365: Visiting the Mi Family Again

Not long after Ling Zhiwang left, He Pingsheng tidied up his clothes and arrived at the Red Moon Chamber of Commerce.

He went straight to the third-floor private room and waited for Elder Red Moon.

He didn't know if Elder Red Moon was not in the chamber of commerce or what, but He Pingsheng waited for a full two hours before seeing her.

"Sorry..."

Just after entering, Red Moon said: "Fellow Daoist He, this palace... er... this concubine was just called over by the City Lord, so I'm late!"

"Kept you waiting!"

"It's fine!" He Pingsheng shook his head.

Red Moon said: "Does Fellow Daoist have something to do with me?"

He Pingsheng didn't speak directly, but said: "A few years ago, I asked you to help me keep an eye on the gold and earth attribute rule origins, if there are any, I can use other rules to exchange for them, these years have passed, I came to ask Fellow Daoist Red Moon, is there any news?" 【365-1

"Hehehe..."

Hong Yue smiled.

As soon as He Pingsheng spoke, she knew what he meant.

"Fellow Daoist He, you caught the scent, so you came over?" Hong Yue said, moving her body to sit opposite He Pingsheng.

In the small, elegant room, there were only the two of them.

"Earlier today, a senior at the Nascent Soul stage did indeed come to our Chamber of Commerce, saying they wanted to consign a bottle of fourth-tier 【Dao-Gathering Pill】..." Hong Yue explained: "You also know that when it comes to things involving Dao laws, I no longer have the ability to judge their value!"

"In order to accurately price it, I had no choice but to take the item to the City Lord for inspection!"

"Later, this matter was taken over by the City Lord!"

"I am no longer in charge of it!"

"Ah?" He Pingsheng was slightly disappointed and said: "Does that mean this bottle of Dao-Gathering Pill will not be auctioned at the Chamber of Commerce?"

"It won't be!" Hong Yue shook her head and said: "For so many years, our Chamber of Commerce has basically never auctioned treasures containing the power of Dao-essence rules. Once such things appear, they are long since intercepted by great cultivators at the Nascent Soul stage; how could they possibly appear at an auction?"

"Cultivators at the Nascent Soul stage have their own circles!"

"Fellow Daoist He, please forgive my rudeness, but wanting to wait for this item at the Chamber of Commerce is no different from waiting for a rabbit to hit a tree stump!"

He Pingsheng cupped his hands and said: "Please enlighten me!"

Hong Yue said: "First of all, Nascent Soul stage cultivators all have their own circles. The thing they worry about least in their lives is increasing their immortal spiritual power to break through physical barriers; for them, they can break through with a casual period of seclusion!"

"What is rare is comprehending the power of the rules between heaven and earth!"

"Some people, because their comprehension is limited, cannot comprehend them and can only devour ready-made rule origins!"

"Some people, although they possess rule origins, find them incompatible with their own attributes. Thus, great cultivators at the Nascent Soul stage often organize exchanges regarding Dao laws and rules within their own circles every so often!"

"They exchange rules of different attributes, or 【Dao-Gathering Pills】, to share what they have!"

"We simply cannot encounter them!"

Once she said this, He Pingsheng understood.

To put it bluntly, it's two words: connections!

Without connections, even if you have money, you might not be able to buy the items you need.

"Then..." He Pingsheng still had some obsession and asked: "What attribute is today's bottle of fourth-tier 【Dao-Gathering Pill】?"

Hong Yue said: "It is wood attribute!"

Hearing that it was wood attribute, He Pingsheng actually breathed a sigh of relief.

If the wood attribute is lost, so be it; what he needs now are the metal and earth attributes.

"Many thanks to the Biyun Xianzi for clearing my doubts!" He Pingsheng stood up and said: "Farewell..."

"You're welcome!" Biyun Xianzi Hong Yue said: "In the Cultivation World, it seems rich in resources, but in reality, after reaching the Nascent Soul stage, one often feels a lack of resources!"

"Fourth-tier Dao laws are already the pinnacle in this world!"

"Since you have the Dao law origin in your hands, Fellow Daoist, it is actually better to refine it into pills, and then take it out to auction or trade; both are much better than trading with the whole Dao law origin!"

"Otherwise, it is easy to suffer a loss!"

"Hehehe... of course, this is just Hong Yue's humble opinion!"

"Many thanks for the Biyun Xianzi's reminder!" He Pingsheng bowed again, then left the Hong Yue Chamber of Commerce.

Actually, Hong Yue is right.

Refining the origin into 【Dao-Gathering Pills】 is the fundamental way.

For example, that ten-thousand-year ice marrow; one strip can be used to refine four or five batches of Dao-Gathering Pills.

And one batch of Dao-Gathering Pills can yield twelve pellets. In this way, it is easier to divide the value during the trading process; otherwise, taking a whole strip out directly really isn't easy to trade for items of equal value.

Either you lose a bit, or others lose a bit.

It's not worth it.

Thus, for the next period of time, He Pingsheng holed up in his own small courtyard and began to refine fourth-tier Dao-Gathering Pills.

Actually, this thing called 【Dao-Gathering Pill】 doesn't just have a fourth tier; it is said there are fifth, sixth, seventh, and so on...

Dao-Gathering Pills of different tiers need to be fused and refined using Dao law rules of different tiers, and the Dao law rules in He Pingsheng's hands are all fourth-tier, so he can only refine fourth-tier Dao-Gathering Pills.

Of course, Hong Yue just said that the power of rules in this Cultivation World is at most fourth-tier.

It's not that there are no higher-tier rule treasures, but they are extremely rare.

Except for the 【Glazed Nascent Soul】 of a great Soul Transformation stage cultivator which can refine fifth-tier Dao laws, there are simply none otherwise.

In one month's time, He Pingsheng refined three types of Dao pills.

Ice-attribute 【Dao-Gathering Pills】, wood-attribute Dao-Gathering Pills, and fire-attribute Dao-Gathering Pills.

Each type consisted of two batches, twenty-four pellets.

He Pingsheng did not strengthen them to top-tier, but made them all high-tier; in this way, it's easier to trade, isn't it?

After the strengthening was complete, He Pingsheng teleported directly out of Red Stone City!

He didn't dare to leave the city slowly; it wouldn't be good if he were targeted by others again.

After teleporting out of the city, He Pingsheng immediately released the Eight-Treasure Boat, then piloted the treasure boat toward Mount Tianqiang in the west.

Elder Hong Yue is right; resource trading in the Nascent Soul circle relies entirely on connections.

But He Pingsheng doesn't know any Nascent Soul cultivators.

He does know Jingxin from the City Lord's Mansion, and he also had a brief encounter with Daoist Guanglong of the Xiaoyao Immortal Sect.

But trying to cling to these two people is obviously unrealistic; they wouldn't accept him. And even if they did accept him, clinging to them wouldn't align with He Pingsheng's true heart.

The only person He Pingsheng knows who can come into contact with the Nascent Soul circle is Mi Cangyuan.

Let's go visit Old Mi first and see if Old Mi has any way?

If Old Mi has a way, it would be good to have Old Mi take him to the Nascent Soul circle to look around.

If Old Mi has no way, He Pingsheng has one last fallback: Comprehension!

That is to unfold the whiskers of the Dao root and forcibly comprehend the Great Dao from between heaven and earth.

The Dao laws comprehended in this way are naturally fine, but the only drawback is that it is slow.

Relying on 【Dead Comprehension】 to obtain the Great Dao from the empty heaven and earth, that speed is truly too moving.

He Pingsheng had seen in that 【Cultivation Collection】 that for those who comprehend Dao laws through this kind of dead comprehension, even a Nascent Soul stage cultivator with superior comprehension often takes sixty years to break through one Dao barrier.

Even, the higher the cultivation, the harder it is to comprehend the Dao; by the late Nascent Soul stage, one might not be able to comprehend one layer of Dao law in a hundred years.

It is just that exaggerated.
