Chapter 693: Fusing with the Nine Heavens Profound Fire

"Chirp, chirp, chirp..."

"Sizzle, sizzle, sizzle..."

The Nine Heavens Profound Fire transformed into several zhang in size, and conjured a human face, glaring angrily at He Pingsheng.

Strictly speaking, this guy wasn't considered part of the demon race.

It was a type of spirit.

Or a type of artifact spirit.

If there wasn't a heaven-defying opportunity, this type of origin-type thing basically had no possibility of taking human form.

Of course, it also possessed an eternal lifespan that ordinary people couldn't reach.

Hum, hum, hum...

Seeing this guy run over, He Pingsheng immediately stripped off all the clothes and Daoist robes on his body.

Otherwise, the moment this guy spat fire, the clothes on his body would be burned away.

Stark naked, in this narrow space, there were only He Pingsheng and this cluster of flames.

"Boom, boom, boom..."

The angry Nine Heavens Profound Fire finally couldn't help but open its mouth wide and spit out a mouthful of flames.

The scorching flames instantly wrapped around He Pingsheng.

However, He Pingsheng didn't dodge, letting the raging fire burn his own body.

The tier of the Nine Heavens Profound Fire might be very high, but its energy was indeed ordinary, and it couldn't even hurt He Pingsheng's body now.

To unleash the power of this fire, it required constant attacks from external energy.

Once the person and fire became one, driving the Nine Heavens Profound Fire with magic power, at that time, this Nine Heavens Profound Fire could become a power that destroyed heaven and earth.

Otherwise, the fire-attribute energy within this Nine Heavens Profound Fire now could almost be ignored.

However, this was only for confrontation.

If it was swallowing and fusing, then it was different.

Although the energy contained in this flame was very little, the power of the laws was extremely high-tier; once swallowed into the body, if the Nine Heavens Profound Fire made a slight move, it could burn a person's meridians and dantian to ashes.

This was also the reason why the Body Integration stage Divine Emperor hadn't been able to refine it.

But to be honest, logically speaking, a Body Integration stage Divine Emperor should be able to refine a mere Nine Heavens Profound Fire.

As for why the Divine Emperor buried in the great tomb hadn't refined the Nine Heavens Profound Fire, that was unknown.

Perhaps, there were unspeakable secrets.

Or perhaps, it was attribute incompatibility!

For example, if the Divine Emperor had a gold-attribute Linggen, and his cultivation was at the first, second, or third layer of Body Integration and devoid of wisdom, then it would be very difficult to refine this fire.

Because fire overcomes gold.

"I know you can understand what I'm saying!" He Pingsheng looked at this Nine Heavens Profound Fire and said: "You have already lived for countless years, and I don't know how many people have fused with you before; and after fusing, you can also obtain infinite power, why are you so resistant to me?"

"Believe me, fuse with me, and in the future, I will take you to roam the world!"

"Besides, if it weren't for me, you would still be trapped in that sunless underground; it was I who brought you out from that underground, why are you so resistant to me?"

He Pingsheng tried to use reason to persuade the Nine Heavens Profound Fire.

For the first time, the Nine Heavens Profound Fire transmitted its intent with spiritual sense: "It's not that I don't want to fuse with you, but those people who fused with me before, weren't they all heaven-gifted talents of a region? And they wanted to fuse with me, their cultivation had to reach at least the Body Integration stage!"

"And you?"

"A mere piece of trash at the Soul Transformation stage, and you want to fuse with me?"

"It's not that I'm unwilling, but I can't afford to lose face like that!"

Ah, this...

He Pingsheng was actually left speechless by this flame.

I, your mother, am being looked down upon by a cluster of flames?

"My cultivation is indeed low right now!" He Pingsheng explained: "But who didn't cultivate from that low-level cultivation?"

"Believe me, fuse with me, and one day, I will be able to raise my cultivation to the Body Integration stage."

"Impossible!" This Nine Heavens Profound Fire said: "You, a mere Soul Transformation stage cultivator, possess such a heaven-defying thing as the Nine Heavens Profound Fire; if people outside find out, won't they line up to come and kill you?"

"Can you live until the day you reach the Dao?"

"Anyway, I don't believe it!"

"Young man, I remember the kindness of you releasing me from that underground; you let me go, and I will give you a rule of the Nine Heavens Profound Fire for you to contemplate, how about that?"

The voice of the Nine Heavens Profound Fire entered He Pingsheng's sea of consciousness again.

This voice sounded like a milky-voiced little baby.

"Impossible!" He Pingsheng looked at this magic treasure space of his and said: "This magic treasure of mine is an existence that transcends Imperial Weapons, at least at the level of an Immortal Artifact!"

"If you don't agree, I will keep you trapped in this magic treasure space!"

"Forever and ever!"

"When I die, I will throw this magic treasure into the depths of the underground!"

"You will never see the light of day for the rest of your life!"

Hearing He Pingsheng say this, the Nine Heavens Profound Fire was instantly enraged: "You dare..."

Ordinary magic treasures couldn't contain this Nine Heavens Profound Fire at all, because fire overcomes metal, and it could directly melt through the magic treasure space.

But this magic treasure space was different.

The Nine Heavens Profound Fire had already tried many times; let alone melting through it, it couldn't even cause a trace of damage to the space.

"What do I not dare to do!" He Pingsheng said: "Anyway, I'll be dead by then, I'll throw you into the depths of the underground, let's see what you do?"

"Now, I'll give you one more chance!" He Pingsheng continued: "Follow me, fuse with me!"

"Or... sink forever!"

The Nine Heavens Profound Fire was silent for a while!

It was truly afraid that He Pingsheng would throw it into the underground when he died!

After thinking for a while, it nodded and said: "Fine... I'll cooperate with you..."

"You fuse!"

Although it said it would cooperate, deep in its heart, the Nine Heavens Profound Fire was thinking that when He Pingsheng fused with it, it would directly burn He Pingsheng's meridians into flying ash.

From the inside out, burn He Pingsheng into ashes.

This way, it wouldn't have to worry about being thrown into the underground.

After all, this powerful magic treasure was on the ground, someone would always pick it up, right?

Once someone picked up this magic treasure, then it would have a chance to get out.

Unexpectedly, He Pingsheng smiled indifferently and said: "Make a Heavenly Dao oath; when I am refining you, you must not resist, and you must cooperate!"

"Otherwise, you will be erased from this world!"

"You..." The Nine Heavens Profound Fire was even angrier.

After swearing, I still dare to make trouble?

"Also!" He Pingsheng continued: "Actually, I also have a way to forcibly refine you, for example... I will divide your body into ten thousand parts, and fuse one part each time; in this way, over a long period of time, I will definitely be able to refine you completely!"

"By that time, guess what I will do to you?"

"Don't!" Under the threat and inducement, the Nine Heavens Profound Fire finally surrendered: "Fine, fine, fine... I'll swear, is that not enough?"

In the small child's voice, it seemed full of grievances.

Next, this Nine Heavens Profound Fire began to swear.

After the Heavenly Dao oath was sworn, He Pingsheng sat cross-legged on the ground and began to ponder the method of refining and swallowing.

Actually, there was no need for any special method.

It was just to fuse this Nine Heavens Profound Fire with himself; using the 【Fire-Bathing Golden Body Art】 and some fire-attribute cultivation techniques to refine it was all possible. ===== CHAPTER 694 =====
