105. Chapter 105: Public Opinion Completely Reverses

However, Luo Xixi would not let Yan Yu do all the work alone. In her view, this was, after all, her own family's business, so she said, "Regarding the public opinion war online, I can also help out. As long as we block the unfavorable search terms about my eldest brother, we can reduce the harm caused by cyberbullying. But the risk is that it's easy to be discovered; if a trending topic about us deleting search terms breaks out, it will be disadvantageous to the Luo Family. However, with your PR team taking action, I can assist you to make your public opinion war much easier."

After hearing this, Yan Yu did not doubt Luo Xixi's ability. On the contrary, he knew very well that if this girl were willing, she could even hack into the United Nations' internal network. Deleting search terms without anyone noticing was, to her, a waste of talent.

He smiled and said, "It's just a public opinion war; it doesn't require you to take action."

Luo Xixi, however, said solemnly, "Of course I have to take action; this is my own family's business after all!"

Yan Yu laughed, "I didn't say you shouldn't help, it's just that your eldest brother's matter is covered by me, so you don't need to worry."

Upon hearing Yan Yu's words, Luo Xixi could not help but fall silent.

Eldest brother's matter?

Does he mean her eldest brother, Luo Xichuan?

This person is really interesting. Just a moment ago he was sourly dissing her eldest brother, and now he is actually calling him "eldest brother" along with her. Who gave him permission to climb the family tree? Who is his eldest brother? That is clearly her eldest brother!

But before Luo Xixi could retort to Yan Yu, Yan Yu put on a serious face again and said, "Actually, the online public opinion war isn't the big problem. The point is that your eldest brother's scandals are almost all verifiable. Even if we win the public opinion war, once the court verdict comes down, public opinion will shift back toward Sheng Tinglan again. Therefore, to completely settle this matter, we must clear your eldest brother's scandals."

"Do you think I don't know that?"

Luo Xixi said with concern, "But the key is that my eldest brother isn't cooperating with us right now!"

Her eldest brother has already been turned into a puppet by the female lead, Luo Shiqing. He cannot control his own words or actions at all, and even if he goes to court later, he will likely plead guilty under the female lead's control.

In that case, all the online anti-smear efforts would be in vain.

"Correct, what we need is your eldest brother's lack of cooperation."

Yan Yu raised an eyebrow and said.

"What?"

Luo Xixi did not understand what Yan Yu meant and asked, confused, "Can you explain that more clearly?"

Yan Yu explained, "Your eldest brother's public image has always been steady and self-restrained, loving his family. Now that he has suddenly changed as if he were a different person, becoming so insane, do you think that is normal?"

"Of course it's not normal!"

He was controlled by the female lead!

But even if she said that, would the police believe it?

Yan Yu laughed, "In the southeastern region, there has always been a kind of black magic called 'casting a curse.' People who have been hit by this kind of spell will completely lose their sanity and do things completely different from their usual selves. We can definitely make an issue out of this."

"Is this feasible?"

Luo Xixi tilted her head, puzzled, "Isn't casting a curse just feudal superstition? How could the police possibly believe such nonsense?"

If that worked, she wouldn't be so worried.

Yan Yu shook his head at Luo Xixi, "You silly girl, you are really not good at grasping human nature. Of course, you can't tell the police that your eldest brother was cursed, but even if you can't say it to the police, can't it be spread online? Many netizens are deeply convinced of this kind of thing, and this can heighten everyone's speculation. As for the police, we need to provide proof of your eldest brother's mental instability. As long as we can produce evidence that your eldest brother was framed and forced to ingest drugs that cause mental instability, we can help your eldest brother escape conviction."

After hearing the method Yan Yu provided, Luo Xixi felt as if she had been enlightened. Her eyes widened, and she exclaimed, "So it can be done this way! I'm such a fool! Why didn't I think of making an issue out of mental instability?!"

And besides.

This is very consistent with reality. In a sense, wasn't her eldest brother controlled by the female lead and driven to mental instability? As long as we omit the unbelievable parts, this point can still be brought up!

Seeing Luo Xixi's mood gradually improve and a smile appearing on her face, Yan Yu leaned toward her as if presenting a treasure, smiling at her, "How about it, Xixi? I said I had a way, I didn't lie to you, did I?"

"Mm-hmm."

Finally having a way to save her eldest brother, Luo Xixi felt a sudden sense of relief. She crinkled her eyes at Yan Yu and thanked him, "Thank you, A-Yu, you really helped me a lot this time!"

Hearing Luo Xixi finally call his name again, Yan Yu smiled even more brightly, "As long as I can be of help to you!!"

Luo Xixi stood up and said to Yan Yu, "Then I'll head back first. I have to tell Mom and Dad this good news; I can't let them keep worrying."

"Leaving already?"

Yan Yu's smile slumped again.

Seeing the man's look of regret, Luo Xixi was afraid he would start acting up again and not work properly. After thinking for a moment, she blinked at him and said, "After this matter is over, I'll come find you to hang out. I'll listen to you then, how about that?"

Having received such a big promise from Luo Xixi, Yan Yu's eyes immediately lit up again, "Do you mean it?"

"I mean it! So you hurry up and get moving too!"

"Okay!"

Yan Yu's motivation was instantly maxed out. He said with a smile, "Xixi, within three days, I will return an innocent eldest brother to you."

With Yan Yu's help, the public opinion about Luo Xichuan online began to reverse again.

At the same time.

The police "suddenly" caught a corporate spy. Because the other party was angry that Luo Xichuan had snatched their business, they took the opportunity to retaliate by giving Luo Xichuan drugs that would damage his nerves. It was only after taking that drug that Luo Xichuan's mental state began to show abnormalities, and Luo Shiqing just happened to appear at that time, which is why she suffered an undeserved disaster.

Once this matter was announced, it immediately caused a huge uproar online. At the same time, Yan Yu took the opportunity to stir up public sentiment, playing up Luo Xichuan's tragic encounter. Coupled with Luo Xixi constantly deleting unfavorable search terms about Luo Xichuan, with the combined efforts of several parties, the cyberbullying against Luo Xichuan was finally brought under control, and public opinion began to reverse.

After the police clarified the details and the spy confessed to the crimes they had committed, Luo Xichuan was finally released without charge.

This series of events, from being cyberbullied to the anti-smear campaign, and finally being released without charge, took less than three days in total.

The Luo Corporation was thus preserved, and Sheng Tinglan's acquisition plan was once again announced as a total failure.

Sheng Corporation.

The secretary stood trembling before the CEO's desk and reported, "CEO Sheng, 80% of the comments we posted online can no longer be found. Even if we want to buy trending topics to react to the deletion of search terms, I don't know what's going on, but the popularity just won't go up. Even the posts we make are inexplicably deleted before long. We must be being targeted! Because of this, the public opinion regarding the Luo Corporation's CEO has begun to reverse, and it is unstoppable. Our acquisition plan for the Luo Corporation has failed completely!"

As soon as the words fell.

Only a "slap" was heard, and the things on Sheng Tinglan's desk were swept away.

The secretary shivered in fear. They saw Sheng Tinglan clench his hands into fists, a flash of ruthless murderous intent in his eyes, and he said coldly, "Investigate! Investigate for me, who exactly is controlling everything behind the scenes!! Find that person for me!"
