108. Chapter 108: Fight them to the end!

【Hmm...】

The Baby System fell silent again.

Honestly, it really hadn't paid attention to this issue before. Seeing its report rejected and receiving a penalty that it would be deleted if the mission in this world wasn't completed, it had panicked at the time. Coupled with the fact that the situation with the Host wasn't looking good, the Baby System simply hadn't been able to consider so much. But after being reminded by Luo Xixi, the Baby System really felt there was something fishy going on!

It hurriedly checked the department that rejected the report and discovered that its report had actually failed to reach Headquarters; it had been directly rejected by their team leader!

The Baby System was greatly shocked and hurriedly told Luo Xixi this news.

【Host! There really is a problem with my appeal report! The report didn't reach Headquarters; it was blocked and directly rejected by our team leader!】

【Then your team leader must definitely be the problem! It likely has collusion with the Heartthrob System on the other side and is intentionally trying to mess with you!】

Luo Xixi immediately drew this conclusion.

【Eh???】

Hearing Luo Xixi's conclusion, the Baby System was still a bit dumbfounded. It was still somewhat unwilling to believe that systems like them would actually do such a thing. The Baby System hesitated and said: 【Host, could this be a mistake? Why would the team leader collude with the Heartthrob System to mess with me? I am just an unknown Newborn System; I haven't provoked the team leader before. Why would the team leader do this?】

【How would I know that?】

Luo Xixi said: 【I am just drawing a conclusion based on the current situation. Your report was rejected by your team leader, but right now my eldest brother is clearly not normal—he doesn't even have consciousness. If you can still say there's no problem, I think it's clearly the team leader who has the problem! Since it covered up the Heartthrob System's cheating behavior, it's evident they are birds of a feather!】

【This...】

The impact of this matter on the Baby System was truly too great.

It had always thought that their systems were the most fair, rational, kind, and perfect existences. Because they were absolutely rational, there would be no human-like infighting, and in order to help the Host complete missions, they could even sacrifice everything.

As a result, these events were now chipping away at the Baby System's worldview bit by bit.

So.

Even systems would, just like humans, form cliques and use their positions for personal gain. How is this any different from humans?

Luo Xixi knew that the fact systems could also engage in infighting was very cruel to the naive Baby System.

However, she was more concerned about her eldest brother's situation right now, so she continued to ask: 【Tong'er, it is absolutely not normal for Eldest Brother to be like this, but I don't know how to make his consciousness return. The only way now is to appeal to Headquarters and investigate whether the Heartthrob System is cheating. As long as there is solid evidence, they will be forcibly logged out of this world, and by then my eldest brother should be able to recover his consciousness. So you must find a way to make Headquarters intervene in this matter directly!】

The Baby System came back to its senses and whispered to Luo Xixi: 【We Newborn Systems aren't qualified to go directly to Headquarters. It must first be consolidated and summarized by the department team leader, and then passed on to Headquarters...】

Luo Xixi, however, said with a firm attitude: 【Then you'll have to use your clever and witty brain. Tong'er, I believe in you; you will definitely be able to think of a way to do it! Don't you also want me to pull myself together and save the villain Cannon Fodder? You can't be the one to chicken out at a time like this!】

【Host...】

Seeing that her Host was so actively working on the mission, the Baby System was also exceptionally moved. Likely infected by Luo Xixi's fighting spirit, the Baby System felt it could do it again.

It stammered: 【Although this matter is very difficult, but, but if it's for you, Host, I will work hard! Fight them to the end!! (〃＞皿＜)】

【That's the spirit, Tong'er, that's it!】

【Hehe... (//▽//)】

Soon.

After receiving the news while filming abroad, Luo Xinian also rushed back at the first opportunity.

"Mom! Dad! Eldest Brother! Luo Xixi!"

Luo Xinian appeared travel-worn. Usually the one who cared most about his image, this time his clothes and hair were all a mess. He rushed into the villa and asked repeatedly: "I heard Eldest Brother had an accident! Earlier, the internet was spreading rumors that Eldest Brother wanted to do that kind of thing to Shiqing, and it even escalated to the police station. Later, they said Eldest Brother was drugged and now has a mental breakdown. What is all this? And where is Shiqing? Where is she now?"

Facing Luo Xinian's questions one after another, Luo Xixi knew that the Luo Family parents had been physically and mentally exhausted these days and likely had no energy to answer, so she answered them one by one: "Of course Eldest Brother couldn't have done that kind of thing to Shiqing; he was framed! Eldest Brother's mental state is very unstable right now. Third Brother, don't disturb Second Brother. As for Shiqing, she has been missing since the day Eldest Brother's accident happened, and she doesn't answer when called."

"What did you say?!"

Luo Xinian's mind was already in a mess, and after hearing Luo Xixi's answer, his mind was even more of a tangled knot. He hurriedly walked to his eldest brother Luo Xichuan's side and shouted at him: "Eldest Brother, how are you? It's me, Third Brother. Do you still recognize me?"

"..."

Luo Xichuan kept his eyes lowered. Even hearing Luo Xinian's call, he had no reaction at all; he was completely like a marionette.

Luo Xinian had never imagined that his eldest brother would become like this.

His pupils trembled violently, and he said: "How could it be like this? How could Eldest Brother become this way? Who the hell did this?!"

Hearing Luo Xinian's questioning, Luo Xixi felt indignant in her heart: 【Who else could it be but Shiqing? Third Brother really has a pig's brain! As soon as Eldest Brother had an accident, that woman ran off without a trace, and no one can contact her. The Luo Family almost went bankrupt under the public opinion offensive, yet she still hasn't shown up. Can't you guess it's her? This is speechless!!】

!!!!!

Hearing Luo Xixi's inner thoughts, Luo Xinian was deeply shocked.

It was Shiqing who caused Eldest Brother to become like this?

Why would she do such a thing?!

Luo Xinian hurriedly looked at his father Luo Zhennian and asked: "Dad, where is Shiqing? Now that this kind of thing has happened at home and Eldest Brother has become like this, has she really had no news? Haven't you sent anyone to investigate her whereabouts?"

"This..."

Luo Zhennian didn't know how to answer his son. He had been running between the Luo Corporation and the police station frequently these days; both his body and mind were exhausted. Furthermore, he knew from Xixi's inner voice that Shiqing had actually been with Sheng Tinglan all along. However, Xixi's stance was to let the Luo Family stabilize first before considering the matter of Sheng Tinglan and Shiqing, and Luo Zhennian truly had no energy left to look into those things, so he hadn't gone to look for Shiqing again.

But his son didn't know about Xixi's inner voice, and Luo Zhennian didn't know how to explain it well.

Seeing his father's eyes unconsciously drifting toward Luo Xixi, Luo Xinian thought for a moment, then looked at Luo Xixi and asked: "Xixi, do you know Shiqing's whereabouts?"

"I don't know!"

Luo Xixi denied it flatly.

But in her heart, she was thinking: 【Shiqing is obviously with her dear male lead. This time the Luo Corporation almost went bankrupt, wasn't it that damn Sheng Tinglan pulling strings behind the scenes? But can I tell you now? With your temper, wouldn't you rush straight to their house? If another conflict breaks out, wouldn't that just give them more leverage? Eldest Brother's matter hasn't been handled yet, and Mom and Dad are so tired; I won't tell you and let you add to the chaos!】
