Chapter 39: Luo Xixi: Help! Someone, get the male lead away from her!

【Congratulations, Host, you guessed it! In the story's setting, Suna has always had a secret crush on Yan Yu and has been secretly pursuing him. It is precisely because she discovers in this variety show that Yan Yu is overly attentive to the female lead, Luo Shiqing, that she targets Luo Shiqing crazily, eventually infuriating Yan Yu and ending up ruined and committing suicide by jumping off a building.】

【Tsk tsk...】

After hearing the spoilers, Luo Xixi sighed, 【What a trashy, melodramatic story. Is there not a single female character related to the female lead who is decent? They are either fighting the female lead for her brother or fighting for her man, and in the end, their fates are always miserably tragic!】

The Baby System said helplessly: 【It can't be helped, Host. Since she is a Heartthrob female lead, there naturally have to be a few more Cannon Fodder characters to set her off, so that the brilliance of the female lead's halo can be highlighted. And female character competition is very easy to incite hatred and create exciting plot points.】

【I stopped watching this kind of trashy novel eight hundred years ago!!】

【It doesn't matter, Host. Aren't you currently playing the brain-dead, vicious female villain in a trashy novel right now? (⊙v⊙)】

【...】

Say, Tong'er, are you trying to comfort me or trying to piss me off to death? (⊙_⊙?)

Before long.

Liu Dao returned to the hotel, beaming and bustling with energy. Beside him were a man and a woman. Liu Dao was hunched over, his face smiling like a chrysanthemum as he flattered them: "I never expected Teacher Yan and Teacher Suna to come to our variety show. It truly makes our little program shine with brilliance."

"Oh my god! The top actor and top actress are actually going to participate! Won't our little program explode in popularity now!!"

The minor celebrities in the hotel heard Liu Dao's words and all began to get excited, then one after another they went up to greet Yan Yu and Suna.

Even the female lead, Luo Shiqing, began to get eager when she saw Yan Yu.

In the plot.

She will attract the male lead's attention due to her outstanding performance during Wilderness Survival, and the supporting actress Suna, because she is pursuing Yan Yu, will also notice that Yan Yu's gaze always lingers on her. Therefore, on the show, she will always target her openly and secretly. Because Luo Xixi finds her an eyesore, she will try her best to curry favor with Suna and badmouth her in front of Suna. Because of this, Suna will like to pick on her even more, but she will rely on various talents to successfully pass through all the obstacles, and by using Suna's fame, she will become wildly popular and successfully open up her path in the entertainment industry.

【System, should I go and greet the male lead now to attract his attention?】

Luo Shiqing asked the Heartthrob System anxiously.

The Heartthrob System stopped her: 【Host, you don't need to deliberately attract the male lead's attention, because according to the setting, the male lead is destined to be attracted to you. The moment he sees you for the first time, you will have already left a deep impression in his heart; there is no need for you to do anything else to attract his attention.】

【That's good then.】

After hearing the Heartthrob System's explanation, Luo Shiqing immediately felt at ease.

Then, immediately after, she saw Yan Yu walking toward her side in full view of everyone.

Seeing this, Luo Shiqing was both surprised and happy.

No way?

Is the interaction starting so soon? What kind of reaction should she have?

Whatever, anyway, no matter what she does, the male lead will be obsessed with her to death.

Just as Luo Shiqing was preparing to speak to Yan Yu with a smile, who would have thought that Yan Yu did not look at her at all, but instead turned to Luo Xinian beside her first, smiling and greeting him: "Long time no see, Xinian."

Luo Xinian: "??????"

Xinian?

Were he and Yan Yu close enough for that?

Luo Shiqing's eyes went wide at this moment; she never expected that the male lead, who should have been paying attention to her, would greet her third brother first! Was their relationship that good?!

The Heartthrob System hurriedly stepped in to analyze and explain: 【Host, I already told you before, Yan Yu is just cold and aloof, not ill-mannered. He and Luo Xinian are colleagues who have worked together after all; it is very normal for him to come over and greet Luo Xinian first. Using this as a starting point to then have contact with you is what fits the logic.】

【So that's how it is!】

Since he had already greeted her third brother, shouldn't her third brother introduce her to the male lead now?

But before Luo Xinian could speak, Yan Yu's gaze turned to Luo Xixi, and he curled his lips slightly to greet her: "Xixi, we meet again."

Xixi???

Once these words were spoken.

Everyone present immediately smelled the scent of gossip, and their gazes all turned toward Luo Xixi. How could this unknown amateur girl deserve the attention of the top actor? And he even called her Xixi so intimately??

This had never happened before!!

Luo Shiqing was instantly furious, looking at Luo Xixi with a murderous gaze. What has this bitch done again?!

The top actress Suna's eyes also suddenly became sharp, and she looked at Luo Xixi with a gloomy expression.

Luo Xixi, who had become the focus of everyone's attention by accident, was already sweating buckets, you know?

She frantically called the Baby System: 【Damn it, Tong'er, what is going on? Does this male lead have a hole in his brain? Does he? Why is he calling me? In the plot, isn't he only interested in the female lead? Now that he calls me Xixi, is he trying to make another supporting actress hate me to death?】

【Host, calm down!!】

The Baby System hurriedly comforted Luo Xixi, saying: 【You have met the male lead three times already, and the two of you even had one intimate encounter. Now he is just greeting you normally; there is nothing worth being surprised about!】

【Nothing worth being surprised about?! You should tell that to the others!! See if they believe you!】

"Um, Teacher Yan."

At this time, Liu Dao stepped forward like a tool to ask: "Do you know Xinian's younger sister as well?"

"Yes."

Yan Yu answered naturally and asked back in a flat voice: "Xinian and I are good friends, and Xixi is his sister. Isn't it normal for us to know each other privately? Is there a problem?"

Luo Xinian, who had been issued a "friend card," was confused: "????"

Since when were he and Yan Yu good friends?

Good friends who never contacted each other privately after working together only once?

"Haha, that's true!"

Liu Dao was clearly convinced by Yan Yu's explanation. He looked at Luo Xinian again and laughed: "Xinian, you're not being kind. You and Teacher Yan are good friends, yet when Teacher Yan was coming to the program, you didn't tell me in advance, causing me to fail to go out and welcome Teacher Yan in time."

Luo Xinian was forced into a corner and could only laugh dryly, "Haha, I only just found out too."

Luo Shiqing was anxious on the side: Can you guys stop chatting, damn it? I haven't even greeted the male lead yet! Luo Xinian, have you forgotten you have a younger sister? Hurry up and introduce me!!

She was still waiting to interact with the male lead!

Who would have thought.

Just at this moment.

A staff member ran over in a panic and said to Liu Dao: "Liu Dao, the ferry is about to leave, and the staff over there are urging us to hurry over."

"Is that so? Then let's hurry and go!"

Liu Dao waved his hand and said to everyone, "Everyone, count your things, then pack up and head to the pier together."

"Alright!"

Everyone immediately became flustered and busy.

In this way, the greeting segment was naturally interrupted.

Luo Shiqing: "#￥%#%￥@￥%……"

Are they messing with her!!!

Only to see Yan Yu walk naturally to Luo Xixi's side and say to her with a smile, "Xixi, let's head over."

"……" Luo Xixi was currently feeling like she was sitting on pins and needles, like she had thorns on her back, like she had a bone stuck in her throat.

Someone come quickly and save her!!

Hurry and drag the second male lead away from her side!!!
