Chapter 8

~5 min read 814 words

"Uh, I don't need one…" She had no habit of drinking tea, but meeting Producer Seeing Shentu Mo's calm, depthless gaze, she changed her words: "Alright."

After brewing the tea, Producer Seeing Shentu Mo made a "please" gesture; He Lele had no choice but to sit down and silently listen to the two voices—rich and magnetic yet distinct—discussing a certain TV drama.

She had thought that beast only knew how to mate.

Sip tea, keep listening… Who knew that beast was so serious about work? If only they'd keep talking forever…

The dual exhaustion of body and mind made He Lele's eyelids grow heavier and heavier; finally, her small head nodded slowly, and she fell asleep right there in her seat.

"What's wrong with this woman?" Producer Seeing Shentu Mo glanced at He Lele and asked.

"Heh… I've already drained her dry."

"…Ready to go back and become a mine owner?"

"Pfft! You jinx! This little woman was arranged by Aunt Yun—play with her all you want. Don't you remember? 'Bedroom maid.'" Seeing Ruan Lin formed a circle with one hand and thrust a finger in and out of it, grinning with lewd delight; yet even with such vulgar expression on his face, he remained strikingly handsome and mesmerizing.

"Oh?" Producer Seeing Shentu Mo seemed lost in thought.

"Alright, fix your own dinner at five—I'm taking her. I just broke her cherry yesterday; the novelty hasn't worn off yet! If you need her, next time, book ahead." With that, Seeing Ruan Lin lifted his teacup and drained the remaining tea in one gulp.

"New tea? Tastes good." As he spoke, he walked to He Lele's side, hoisted her onto his shoulder, and headed for the elevator.

"Ah—let go of me! Put me down!" Startled awake, He Lele struggled frantically.

Pressing the third-floor button, Seeing Ruan Lin waved casually toward Producer Seeing Shentu Mo outside the elevator. "So polite? No need to see me off."

"Red Dust."

"Huh?"

The elevator doors slowly closed—but outside, Producer Seeing Shentu Mo suddenly shot out a hand like lightning, grabbed He Lele's waistband, and yanked her out of the elevator.

"Ah—" He Lele was thrown to the floor, bewildered.

"Hey! What are you doing!" Seeing Ruan Lin shouted in fury.

Ding! The elevator doors sealed shut completely.

"Damn it! Producer Seeing Shentu Mo! Open the door! What the hell are you doing!" Seeing Ruan Lin's roar came through the intercom.

"Red Dust. The tea's name."

"You! Producer Seeing Shentu Mo! I'll curse your ancestors eighteen generations! You gave me a love potion! I'll fuck you—"

Producer Seeing Shentu Mo muted the elevator intercom, turned back to the sofa, picked up the thin-rimmed glasses from the table, put them on, opened his laptop, his handsome face utterly expressionless.

He Lele sat dazed by the elevator door, her head still foggy. What just happened? Why did Mr. Shen pull her out? And what had Seeing Ruan Lin said at the end… drank a love potion? Did that stallion even need a love potion? Tea… tea? He Lele stared in horror at the several teacups on the table.

"W-why…?"

"Didn't Seeing Ruan Lin already tell you?"

Can no one delay his meals for any reason? "But I wasn't late!"

Producer Seeing Shentu Mo removed his glasses and fixed He Lele with a piercing gaze. "You weren't late not because you were punctual, but because I reminded you. Punishing someone after they've erred is merely mending the fold after the sheep is lost. Perfect results depend not on rigid systems, but on precise, meticulous process control. Still, systems are necessary."

He Lele fell silent, rose wearily, and bowed deeply. "... I'm sorry, Mr. Shen. I swear, there will never be a next time."

The cold, icy man glanced at her, put his glasses back on, and operated his laptop.

"Mr. Shen, may I go downstairs now?" The silent, chilling atmosphere made her uncomfortable—but only the owners themselves or those they authorized could open the elevator doors to their private floors; unlike the basement garage, first floor, and seventh-floor public areas, where all five could operate them.

The cold man said nothing.

Time crept by. He Lele faintly felt a fire rising in her abdomen, spreading rapidly through her body, igniting every vein, filling her with unbearable heat; her skin prickled and itched as if a million ants were gnawing. She frowned in agony—the itching grew fiercer, until all the sensation suddenly converged between her legs—

"Mmm…" She couldn't help a muffled moan. So itchy… so… so unbearable…

"Mr. Shen…"
