Chapter 10: Train
The train stopped slowly at dusk.
A carriage full of soldiers stared quietly at Feng Yuxiu sitting in the corner.
They were all rural children who walked out of the loess plateau.
Where would they have such courage.
Not to mention in such a strange environment, Feng Yuxiu soon became the object of their awe.
This was just like the child king in the village when they were young, always followed by a group of dusty ones.
Shi Jin walked in, patting every new recruit, "Don't cry anymore, pack up and change trains."
The new recruits were stunned, looking at Shi Jin.
Shi Jin smiled and greeted, "It's not like we bought you. It just so happens that there is a train delivering equipment going the same way, so two trains combined into one saves resources."
After explaining, the new recruits packed their luggage and lined up to get off the train.
"Xu Sanduo, come with me."
Shi Jin called Feng Yuxiu alone.
Feng Yuxiu frowned, bent down, and felt an iron nail from the car seat, hiding it in his hand.
Running from this place, he should be able to run away.
Opening the carriage door, a person who looked like a small leader of the Armed Forces Department was waiting.
Seeing Shi Jin nod and smile.
He bypassed his shoulder, revealed joy, and greeted him, "Oh, Instructor, welcome to my small county town. Although it's a bit poor, it's all simple food, but it's enough to fill you up. Let's go, let's go, the canteen is ready."
Hong Xingguo smiled and nodded, "That's trouble. We'll leave after eating. You also know that these new recruits just left home, and they are all lacking discipline, so I'll be relaxed once I hand them over to the place."
Of course, these words were spoken by the two in low voices.
Turning around, Hong Xingguo revealed a kind smile, "Fellow comrades, fellow comrades, now please follow the comrades from the Armed Forces Department to eat. After eating, we will transfer and arrive in a day."
"By then, the company will be everyone's home, and the squad leaders will be everyone's family!"
After these words, these uneasy new recruits revealed relaxed smiles one after another.
So they were also popular young masters in the army.
Shi Jin pulled Feng Yuxiu alone into the small kitchen.
Looking at the stir-fried meat and white noodles on the table, Feng Yuxiu asked in a deep voice, "Is this intended to let me eat a good meal before being discharged?"
Shi Jin was distributing chopsticks and was slightly stunned, "Why would you think that? The matter of you beating people has already been settled. Taking action against active military personnel, everything you did was self-defense, it's nothing. Come, sit."
Feng Yuxiu sat down.
"Do you know why I opened a small kitchen for you alone?" Shi Jin held the white noodles and chewed a few mouthfuls while asking.
Feng Yuxiu shook his head.
"Your skill, and if the theoretical knowledge you said wasn't a lie, you could completely become a soldier king in the army very quickly."
"My meaning is, it's very likely that as your squad leader, I will do my best to fight for you to join our company. Since we are our own people, is it okay to have a good meal?"
Feng Yuxiu raised his eyebrows, "Your company?"
"Right."
"Steel Seventh Company."
During this meal, Feng Yuxiu just listened quietly to Shi Jin talking eloquently.
From when he joined the army to now becoming an acting platoon leader.
And the Company Commander of the Steel Seventh Company, Gao Cheng, and the dazzling soldier king of the Steel Seventh Company, Wu Liuyi.
Feng Yuxiu was cold in his heart. His external martial arts and internal skill required extremely harsh training.
Even needing to risk his life to deduct time to exercise.
Once he entered the Steel Seventh Company, according to their training plan time, plus the two-month recruit period, there was simply no other time to exercise.
No way, must find a loose place.
More importantly, his training method was close to self-mutilation.
Once discovered by the army, he would definitely be detained.
He only had martial arts in his heart.
Live for martial arts, die for martial arts.
"Comrade Xu Sanduo, can I ask, when did this personality of yours start?" Shi Jin poured a cup of water and handed it to Feng Yuxiu, asking along the way.
Feng Yuxiu was puzzled.
"Oh, it's just that your parents and people in the village all said you were dull on weekdays, but the personality you showed is a bit too... domineering."
Feng Yuxiu gripped the water cup, opening his mouth calmly, "Is this a psychological test? Do you need psychological tests after passing the military enlistment?"
"No, no, no, you misunderstood, it's just a normal conversation between an old soldier and a new recruit." Shi Jin hurriedly explained clearly.
"Then there's no need for me to tell you. Anything else?" Feng Yuxiu stood up immediately and prepared to walk out.
"That matter with your father was handled by the local Armed Forces Department. Those two ruffians were originally going to be detained, but you hit them too hard, so it was let go." Shi Jin said again.
Feng Yuxiu thought of that old man in his mind.
The biological father of this body.
Overestimating his own strength, the old thing! Forcing trouble on him!
But for some reason, perhaps it was the instinctive reaction of this body.
Feng Yuxiu curled a corner of his mouth slightly.
"Thank you."
Shi Jin sat at the table in silence, looking at the dark night.
"Personality... split?"
Out of the station room.
Feng Yuxiu threw the rusty iron nail hidden in his palm to the ground.
"Must be quick. The body of a seventeen or eighteen-year-old, must risk life to practice, otherwise will never become a Grandmaster-level expert."
He must kill Xiahou Wu in this life!
The army's speed was very fast.
Eating took only a short half an hour.
A canned train stopped slowly at the station.
Hong Xingguo walked out accompanied by the leader of the Armed Forces Department.
"Squad leaders, greet these new recruits to get on the train, not a single one is allowed to be left behind!"
Shi Jin and the other squad leaders hurriedly greeted their respective new recruits.
"Report numbers!" Shi Jin took the roll call book and looked at them one by one.
After matching the names one by one, Shi Jin turned and walked toward Hong Xingguo.
"Instructor, First Squad should have thirty people, thirty people arrived!"
"Good, get on the train!"
The emergency lights on the train shone with pale yellow light.
These new recruits were all rural children; where had they seen such things in remote mountain villages.
"I can't breathe." Someone's face turned red.
"It's so dark, Squad Leader, can you open the door?"
Some with shallow eye sockets started to wipe tears and cry.
Shi Jin's head was big, and he wanted to say something angrily, but ultimately sighed.
"Shi Jin, come over here for a moment." Hong Xingguo poked his head out from the transfer point.
"Instructor,"
Hong Xingguo frowned, "These new recruits are the worst I've ever seen, and some of their psychological quality is too poor. Once they arrive at the unit, give them a good loosening of their skin."
"Are they bad?" For some reason, Shi Jin looked at Feng Yuxiu, who was like an iceberg in the crowd.
He always felt that this boy who came from the farmer's land had an aura that didn't belong to this era.
"Sanduo," in the crowd, Cheng Cai leaned up and revealed a kind smile, "We are from Xia Rongshu Village, let's look out for each other when we get to the army."
Feng Yuxiu closed his eyes to rest, ignoring this snobbish youth.
Having eaten a closed door, Cheng Cai touched his nasal bridge awkwardly.
"Your dad asked me to take good care of you, Third Dullard?" Cheng Cai continued to probe unwillingly.
"Get lost!"
Responding to him was Feng Yuxiu's cold refusal.
"What's so great about it? When I get to the army, I will definitely rise higher than you, and by then I won't let you beg me to take care of you!"
The youth's nature didn't have any so-called bad seeds.
Cheng Cai had beaten Xu Sanduo since childhood.
He didn't hold a grudge after being beaten once.
After all, they were all fellow villagers from Xia Rongshu.
They should look out for each other.
The train made a clattering sound of rail collisions. ===== CHAPTER 11 =====
