First Volume, Chapter 21: I'm Scared to Death

These noble scions go out to enjoy themselves, and naturally never travel alone; if they encounter some naive fool they once bullied, the fool might actually draw a knife and chop them to pieces.

Amid Wu Yong's wails, a group of servants burst in—eight or nine of them.

Seeing reinforcements arrive, Wu Yong's eyes lit up; he clamped one hand over his nose and pointed at Qin Feng, screaming hysterically: "Beat him to death—I'll bury him myself!"

These henchmen were used to bullying others; hearing this, they charged straight at Qin Feng, sure that if heaven fell, someone taller would take the hit.

Seeing this, Qin Feng turned pale with terror, frantically ducking behind Shen Qingshuang, using her slender, frail frame as a shield—immediately drawing a chorus of disdain.

Qin Feng, terrified out of his wits, screamed hysterically: "Murder! Minister of Personnel's son Wu Yong is attacking me in public! I am Qin Feng, son of the Minister of War! Help!"

Hearing Qin Feng's shrieks, the guests below snickered; some even cursed aloud: "Dog bites dog! Good riddance if they kill each other!"

Seeing Qin Feng so cowardly, Wu Yong's eyes brimmed with contempt; he roared: "What are you all standing there for? Beat him to death!"

This was exactly what Qin Feng wanted—he stayed hidden behind Shen Qingshuang, his face already bursting with suppressed laughter, yet he feigned panic: "Help! Someone's going to die!"

As the servants were about to reach Qin Feng, at this critical moment, everyone's vision blurred—a graceful figure stepped between them, and with an almost unnatural angle, her slender foot kicked the lead servant square in the face.

At this point, Shu Feng's gaze held no hesitation; the situation had changed—someone was trying to kill his young master, and all present were witnesses; Shu Feng, protecting Qin Feng, would show no mercy.

That kick shattered the servant's nasal bridge, spraying blood; the man collapsed instantly, leaving the other servants stunned.

Seizing the moment of their shock, Shu Feng charged into the crowd, fists and feet flying—no flashy moves, just pure speed and power, precise, brutal, and relentless.

Every punch or kick brought down a servant—each one falling out of combat, unable to rise for a long time.

Wu Yong stared, dumbfounded; Qin Feng, however, was ecstatic, resolved to spare no cost to secure Shu Feng's loyalty.

The battle ended swiftly; as the last servant fell, Wu Yong—who had been so arrogant moments before—was now utterly panicked.

Qin Feng leapt out from behind Shen Qingshuang, ran over, and kicked Wu Yong in the stomach, shouting: "Young Master Wu, spare me! I won't dare again!"

Wu Yong, writhing in agony, heard Qin Feng's words and felt his fear instantly replaced by rage; he screamed hysterically: "Qin Feng, you're a goddamn coward!"

At this, Qin Feng clutched his chest, adopting the classic "I'm scared to death" expression: "Young Master Wu, are you threatening me? I'm just a timid soul…"

The moment he spoke, Wu Yong realized his mistake—but words spoken cannot be taken back.

Qin Feng kicked Wu Yong hard, sending him sprawling onto his back, then planted his foot firmly on Wu Yong's chest; though he stood tall, triumphant, his voice turned meek: "Everyone saw it—Young Master Wu attacked me first, sent men to kill me, and now he's threatening me—I had no choice but to defend myself."

The guests exchanged glances, all wearing expressions of utter disbelief.

They'd seen shameless people before—but never this shameless! Wu Yong had taken every blow, yet Qin Feng played the victim—how thick could this man's skin be?

Wu Yong had never endured such disgrace in his life; clutching Qin Feng's foot, his eyes red, he roared: "Qin Feng, this isn't over!"

Still not done?

Under the stunned gaze of all present, Qin Feng's body convulsed violently, like an epileptic fit—his mouth twisted, eyes skewed; he launched a flurry of punches and kicks at Wu Yong, all while shamelessly screaming: "Young Master Wu, stop scaring me! You've made me have a seizure! Who in Beijing doesn't know I once fell into the water and froze my brain? Oh no, my body won't obey me!"

As he shouted, Qin Feng pummeled Wu Yong relentlessly until the man's eyes rolled back and he passed out cold.

Still not satisfied, Qin Feng turned to the few Wu household servants rushing forward and muttered: "Wu Yong scared me into a seizure—you owe me medical expenses."

Not just the Wu servants—even the seasoned guests—were left speechless, their scalps prickling with disbelief.

As long as Shu Feng was by his side, Qin Feng never worried about his personal safety.

Seeing the servants frozen in place, Qin Feng grabbed Wu Yong's belt and grinned: "I'm having a seizure now—I might do anything. Want to see Young Master Wu's white buttocks?"

At this, the servants nearly died of fright—if Qin Feng stripped Wu Yong's pants, the Minister of Personnel's honor would be ruined forever; regardless of right or wrong, every one of these servants, who failed to protect their young master, would be executed.

"Quick! Go back to the mansion and tell the Manager to bring money!"

The lead servant dropped to his knees beneath the wooden platform, tears streaming: "Young Master Qin, please have mercy! If you strip our young master's pants, none of us will live! Name your price—we'll pay!"

Qin Feng held Wu Yong's belt in one hand, stroked his chin thoughtfully: "Medical fees, emotional damages—I won't overcharge, being noble-born as we are: Five Ten Thousand Liang of Silver."

At this, the servants turned green—but to preserve Wu Yong's dignity, they gritted their teeth and agreed.

As the Wu household servants hurried back to fetch the money, a furious shout rang out.

"Qin Feng, you've gone too far!"

Hearing this, Qin Feng was ecstatic—what? Another person wants to beat me? Perfect! I crave it—the more I'm beaten, the richer I'll become in Beijing.

Qin Feng turned toward the voice and saw a middle-aged man approaching.

According to the original body's memories, this man was Zhao Zhangfu, owner of Zui Xian Lou.

Zhao Zhangfu pointed at Qin Feng and snapped: "Release Young Master Wu at once!"

"Someone, help Young Master An up!"

At Zhao Zhangfu's order, the wine house clerks finally rescued Wu Yong and An Shiyun from Qin Feng's grasp.

Both were covered in blood; Wu Yong was half-conscious, while An Shiyun, though furious, was still young—and in his rage, he began to cry.
