Chapter 1172
Ang did not want him dead; Ang's original words were, "Good opportunity, grab him."
Once the attack he unleashed could be compressed by the Devouring Abyss into glowing, heat-emitting orbs, Ang wanted him dead even less. These kinds of orbs are excellent things for replenishing light; hang just one in a cave, and even a pitch-black cavern can be developed into a world teeming with life.
Anthony also did not want him dead. This Lord of the Starborn can almost be said to be the key figure running through the entire plot. From the formation of the Boundless Great Void, the imprisonment of the Ancient Divine Light, the experiences of the Azure Divine Star, to the hatching of new divine stars, he participated in the whole process.
He is also the guardian of the Boundless Great Void, experiencing the evolution of the entire Great Void. It can even be said that the lives like Ang who grew up in the Boundless Great Void can all find some answers from him.
Originally, Anthony had hoped to capture him and interrogate him thoroughly, but now, he had gone and courted death by burning Ang's fields.
If there is any behavior that is unforgivable in Ang's system, it is undoubtedly burning fields. That is a law verified by the "Tulus" through hundreds of ways of dying.
Sure enough, an angry roar came from the direction of the giant tree: "Tulus, burn my field!"
On the giant fireball atop the giant tree, a mass of chaotic mist surged out, condensing into an angry face that drilled out from the fireball, followed by the neck, shoulders, torso, and arms, and finally, even the fireball was wrapped onto the body, transforming into a flame giant, which then stepped forward.
As it stepped, scales surged on the flame giant's body, and it rapidly transformed from a flame giant into a muscular Dragon God.
"This dead kid, what a waste. That's all chaotic mist, that fireball is all chaotic mist," Negris said anxiously and regretfully.
It turns out that the big fireball was entirely chaotic mist. Ang had condensed it into a sphere and let the surface transform into chaotic power and burn, just to obtain a big, glowing, heat-emitting fireball.
If it were just for light and heat, this chaotic mist could burn for a very, very long time—thousands or tens of thousands of years might not be enough to burn it all—but now, an exasperated Ang had rapidly converted them into a body—a Source Body.
A Source Body can withstand Ang's more powerful strength. With the addition of these powers, he can transform into a Dragon God, but transforming into a Dragon God was not his goal; the Dragon God's abilities were his goal.
With a big stride, Ang, in his Dragon God form, vanished from where he stood and reappeared not far in front of the Lord of the Starborn, crossing the distance between them in a single blink.
"Space-Time—" the Lord of the Starborn shrieked, his voice involuntarily tinged with panic.
What kind of thing had he provoked? The Light Point Fortress, the Space-Time Dragon, the World Tree of Ten Thousand Realms... why could traces of so many powers be found on him?
However, he didn't even get the last word out before his voice stopped abruptly, because space had solidified. The Space-Time Dragon stared at him angrily, and a light orb appeared before him—the Southern Crown Strike.
The Southern Crown Strike is a move that requires continuous charging; charging for one second versus two seconds results in vastly different power.
The Lord of the Starborn looked at the light orb swelling and accumulating in front of him, struggling desperately in terror, yet his whole body remained motionless.
Space solidification and the Southern Crown Strike are simply a perfect match. Ang had previously used space solidification combined with a large number of low-level spells to blast many enemies to death, but low-level spells have a limitation: they need to break defenses.
If you can't break the defense, no amount of low-level spells is meaningful, just as no amount of water can crush a living person, but adding some sand to the water makes a difference.
The Southern Crown Strike happens to be the kind of move that also requires charging, but its power is directly proportional to the length of the charge. As long as the charging time is long enough, whatever Star God body he has, it's all trash.
The Lord of the Starborn clearly realized this too and struggled desperately, yet his body remained motionless, which looked very eerie. Clearly, his expression was distorted from the effort, but his body didn't move at all, making it look as if he wasn't exerting any force.
Just then, with a *clink*, the humanoid Lord of the Starborn instantly shrank into a circle, and the space solidification shattered.
The space solidification had actually shattered? Not only were Negris and Anthony shocked, but even Ang was somewhat stunned. The Lord of the Starborn took this opportunity to flee frantically.
"Space solidification failed? He broke the space solidification?" Negris exclaimed in disbelief, using the same meaning but a different context.
This was the first guy in history to break Ang's space solidification.
Anthony was also very shocked, but for someone like him, his thoughts were even faster when shocked. He analyzed quickly: "Ursman said that strong phase force is an inward force, layered and interacting. He stacked the strong phase force to the intensity of exploding a second-rank Star God, so he burst both the space solidification and his own body."
"Makes sense, but he broke the space solidification," Negris said.
"He can't run away. No one can escape in front of the Ancient Space-Time Dragon, except for the Hole Worm," Anthony said.
"Forget it, I'll collect a bunch of brand-new seeds and scatter them on both sides while running. I don't believe I can't get away," Negris said huffily.
Anthony was stunned. What kind of logic is this? But thinking about it carefully, it really is a good method, though finding new seeds that even Ang hasn't seen isn't an easy task.
In any case, the Lord of the Starborn didn't have any, and even if he did, he couldn't come up with such a tricky way to save his life, so he was quickly caught up to by Ang.
Because the Lord of the Starborn suddenly broke the space solidification, Ang's charged Southern Crown Strike couldn't be released in time. Waiting to release it after the opponent ran away would make it very hard to hit the target; the Southern Crown Strike is not meant for attacking moving targets.
Ang could only push it gently into the void at his side and then stride to chase after the Lord of the Starborn, catching up and grabbing him with one claw.
*Rip*—three claw marks were torn into the Lord of the Starborn's body.
"Hiss—grabbed and tore a second-rank Star God? What happened to Ang's hand?" Negris shouted in shock.
The muscular Dragon God's claws definitely weren't sharp enough to tear through a second-rank Star God's defense, but now it broke through with a single grab. Did Ang come up with some new trick?
"Look, my lord's toenails are black crystal. Is it a partial transformation?" Anthony said.
"Hiss—partial transformation? Can Dragon God Transformation even do that?" Negris was surprised.
Whether Dragon God Transformation can do that, I don't know, but Ang can. The muscular Dragon God's toenails transformed into black crystal, scraping against the Lord of the Starborn like a file, leaving three marks with one scrape.
This wasn't grabbing, but filing. While scraping away the Star God body, the black crystal also rubbed off a large amount of debris, but the problem is that these black crystals were created by Ang; he just needs to create more after filing them off, it only consumes a bit of energy.
And so, *scratch, scratch, scratch... scratch, scratch, scratch... * the Lord of the Starborn was scratched all over by the muscular Dragon God, like a living creature that had fallen into an insect god's nest, with large amounts of debris being scraped off his body, and his entire form becoming a layer thinner.
The Lord of the Starborn had no ability to fight back at all. He was facing a muscular Dragon God, a Source Ancient God who excelled in close combat and had inherited hundreds of thousands of years of combat experience; any parrying was futile.
Escaping was even more impossible, because this is the Space-Time Ancient Dragon that controls time and space.
If this continued, the Lord of the Starborn suspected he would be grabbed to death alive. He immediately hardened his heart, and a phantom emerged from his body, charging back at Ang, only to be torn apart limb by limb by Ang's claws.
When Ang continued to chase his main body, he saw his main body disappearing piece by piece. Was he actually Star-Shifting?
Abandoning a portion of his power to entangle Ang, he really did seize the gap and successfully transferred away.
"Star-Shift? How is that possible? Didn't Kram seal the space?" Negris asked in confusion.
