Chapter 1604: I Will Explode
When Anthony was still the Archbishop of the Western Diocese, he had played the game 'All My People' at the Security Council, and by the end, six of the seven seats were occupied by Seeing Ange's people, while Guli Anni became isolated.
This was the Planar Security Council with seasoned veterans like Guli Anni, Dai Sen, Di Lu Ni, the Dwarf War God Tong Chui, and the Dragon King Bruce Sik—how could a simple entity like Shen Xing be compared to it?
Shen Xing is a very simple entity; although their intelligence is high and they can learn all kinds of schemes and tricks, applying them flexibly is too difficult for them.
When power has already reached invincibility in the void, wisdom becomes optional; now that these Shen Xing are considering such tricks, they have been forced by the Void Ancient Dragon and Foreign Spirits, but wanting to scheme and scheming well are two different things.
"How did you discover they were up to something?" Nai Ge Li Si asked in the Soul Network.
"From the moment they sent people here to deliberately buy and sell our information—if they hadn't taken that step, I wouldn't have suspected them, it was overkill." Anthony sneered.
"Well, if they weren't buying and selling our information, they'd just come straight up and ask us about the Boundless Gate—wouldn't you suspect them then?" Nai Ge Li Si asked.
Anthony gave a faint smile: "No, I'd still suspect them—trying to play tricks in front of me, their level is just too low."
Nai Ge Li Si snorted, then turned and asked: "So what do we do? Refuse him?"
"Of course not—send him in. Once he cuts off contact with the outside world and offers his soul to my lord, he becomes ours. Whatever message we want him to send, he will send." Anthony said.
Nai Ge Li Si froze for a moment, then suddenly realized: "Ah, you damn godstick, when you swore earlier, you said: guaranteeing he has a chance to send a message back, but you didn't guarantee the truth of his message—you're setting a trap here, aren't you?"
"No, this was a trap from the start—he thought we'd send him back through the Boundless Gate, and passing through it would require breaking consciousness linkage, so he could escape again. Too bad he doesn't know we have a triangular gap." Anthony said calmly.
Everything was settled; next, we needed to transfer the power of the Sixth Shen Xing over. Even as a dark star, its total stellar flame is still considerable, and the Sixth Shen Xing asked where to transfer it to.
This hides another trap: if the transfer location is revealed, it will expose the position of the Boundless Gate.
The Sixth Shen Xing, relying on the need to establish consciousness linkage, directly asked: "Is the Boundless Gate nearby?"
Anthony said: "No, you transfer over first, then we'll send you to where the Boundless Gate is located."
"Why don't you just tell me the location so I can go directly? Going back and forth wastes too much." The Sixth Shen Xing said.
Anthony smiled and said: "Then you first offer your consciousness mark, establish the consciousness link, and I'll tell you the location."
The Sixth Shen Xing said warily: "No, I need to see the Boundless Gate first—who knows if you're lying to me? I still need to confirm it can connect you to the Infinite Realm. If it's a Boundless Gate that can't reach the Infinite Realm, I don't need you—I can find another."
Anthony spread his hands: "Then you can only come here—we'll transfer you over, and we won't drain your power."
The Sixth Shen Xing half-believing, half-doubting, sized up Anthony from head to toe, and in the end said nothing.
Two months later, six dark stars, each about the size of Lan Ni Ya, arrived here one after another via the constructed Star Rainbow Bridge.
"This fast? You came from the Lan Ni Ya branch to here—how could it be so quick?" Anthony asked doubtfully.
The Sixth Shen Xing said calmly: "Many Shen Xing have Boundless Gates that cannot connect to the Infinite Realm—though they can't link to the Infinite Realm, they can still connect to each other. I used the Boundless Gate to first transmit to near the Rui Pan, then had the Star Courier Team send me over."
"Rui Pan? Star Courier Team?" Anthony looked toward the other five dark stars.
"Lan Ni Ya established the Star Courier Team beside those still usable Boundless Gates. I followed their Star Rainbow Bridge and could move quickly—sending me over, they can just leave." The Sixth Shen Xing explained.
Anthony asked, puzzled: "Built by Lan Ni Ya? Why would he let you use it? You're not..."
Although he guessed that among the Shen Xing playing the information blind box, there were two or more in cahoots, Anthony didn't know the Sixth Shen Xing was one of Lan Ni Ya's people.
But whether he guessed it or not, Anthony's reaction was flawless, and the Sixth Shen Xing's excuse was also very reasonable—just listen to him say: "Being able to let me leave—Lan Ni Ya would be dying for it, you guys say, isn't that right?"
That last sentence was directed at the remaining five dark stars; their thoughts spun awkwardly in the void, constantly scanning their companions, as if all wanted the others to respond.
In the end, you look at me, I look at you—the five dark stars said nothing, then flew off in embarrassment.
Anthony nodded—whether it was the Sixth Shen Xing's explanation or the dark stars' reaction, both were perfect. Being able to let a troublemaking faction unite, a stubborn old Shen Xing leave—Lan Ni Ya not making a fuss was already good enough.
"Come on, we're sending you to the Boundless Gate." Anthony said, then led the way flying toward the gravity midpoint.
Approaching the gravity midpoint required some caution—although the Sixth Shen Xing was currently in dark star form, even a small dark star is one-eighth the size of a Huo Ren Shen Xing, with non-negligible mass. His approach caused the gravity midpoint to shift.
"I can't get any closer—otherwise the gravity midpoint will shift onto me, and then both gravity wells of the Devouring Abyss will act on me simultaneously." The Sixth Shen Xing said.
If the gravity midpoint acted on him, he would become the gravity midpoint, bearing the tearing force of the two Devouring Abysses—by then, he'd be ripped in half.
Anthony could only shout: "My lord!"
Seeing Ange turned his head, his gaze sweeping over the Sixth Shen Xing's body.
Seeing Ange's gaze made the Sixth Shen Xing's heart jolt—this was the first time he felt Seeing Ange's gaze, this majesty—how could it be so strong? Could it be because I've shrunk into a dark star that I now feel his strength?
No—before, I had projected onto the Star Descendant's body and didn't feel such strong majesty.
The Sixth Shen Xing, frozen there, noticed Seeing Ange approaching and reaching out to grab him.
Seeing Ange's palm seemed to generate immense suction, directly 'plucking' a strand of stellar flame from the dark star, gathering it in his hand.
Then Seeing Ange placed that strand of stellar flame on an invisible string, released it—whoosh, the stellar flame shot off toward who-knows-where.
Seeing Ange repeated this over and over, and the Sixth Shen Xing's body kept shrinking, turning into strands of stellar flame shot into the distance.
"Still… still can be done like this? No, if you keep doing this, I'll explode." The Sixth Shen Xing cried out urgently, turning to run.
