Chapter 603
Before he was driven to vomit by the situation, De Luo Sa took out the World Tree seed and said: "I'll use this, the seed of the World Tree, to exchange for your godhead, how about that? The World Tree, oh! The divine tree that supports all worlds. If you grow it, you can possess the power to rule over all worlds."
Ang stopped his work and took the World Tree seed. This was the consciousness space; the seed was merely something De Luo Sa had manifested for Ang to see. If he agreed to the exchange, he would take out the physical object then.
After taking a look, Ang discovered that this was just the World Tree he had grown before. It was the same.
The fruit produced by that World Tree had already been transformed into a dimensional space, which he used for growing vegetables. Now that there was another seed, didn't that mean he could grow another dimensional space?
This was actually quite valuable. Thinking of this, Ang asked: "How many?"
"What do you mean? Are you asking me how many World Tree seeds to exchange for a godhead?" De Luo Sa asked in surprise.
Ang nodded. De Luo Sa almost spat out a mouthful of blood: "Still asking how many? I'd be at a huge loss even at one-for-one. This is a World Tree seed! One is ten thousand times more valuable than that broken godhead of yours."
"Oh, not equivalent. No exchange," Ang said, continuing to bury his head in his work.
"Pfft... you're supposed to haggle! I'd take a small loss to trade with you, why are you just quitting without haggling? Is there anyone who does business like you?" De Luo Sa had been in the business of bewitching hearts for so many years, and this was the first time he had encountered such a difficult target who just stopped talking to him entirely.
Ang said without looking back: "Ten thousand times, too expensive. No exchange."
Ang didn't have ten thousand godheads, nor did he feel the seed was worth that much. It wasn't equivalent, which violated his habit of equivalent exchange, so he simply didn't trade.
"Pfft—exaggeration, understand? Ten thousand times is just an exaggerated way of speaking, it doesn't mean it's actually worth ten thousand times more. One-for-one, okay? Use one seed to exchange for one of your godheads." De Luo Sa was going a bit crazy. Ten thousand times was just an exaggeration; couldn't this guy tell?
Ang thought for a moment, then shook his head: "Expensive. No exchange."
The fruit grown from the World Tree could be transformed into a dimensional space, but he already had one. Having an extra one didn't seem very useful, but the uses for a blank godhead were many.
More importantly, he only had two blank godheads left now. The ones he had newly planted hadn't been able to produce godheads yet because they lacked the catalysis of a faith storm. Ang felt it wasn't worth it to exchange a highly useful blank godhead for a dimensional space of little use.
"Then what do you want? What would you want in exchange to feel it's not expensive? How about I add something else? Ten beauties of various races, how about that? You choose the gender. Magic crystals? Precious metals? Territory?" De Luo Sa rattled off a long list.
Ang scratched his head and reached out to beckon. Two vortices appeared beside him, and Anthony and Silver Coin walked out, looking at this strange world with shock and confusion.
Ang explained the situation. Anthony and Silver Coin's eyes lit up, and they turned to look at De Luo Sa as if they were looking at a sheep ready to be shorn.
De Luo Sa subconsciously took two steps back. Anthony and Silver Coin quickly put on sincere expressions and surrounded him. Before long, angry shouts came from De Luo Sa's direction: "You profiteer! You charlatan! You demons!"
Half an hour later, Anthony and Silver Coin returned, feeling satisfied, while De Luo Sa behind them looked like a frostbitten eggplant.
Ang looked at the two of them and tilted his head.
Anthony said with a smile: "The harvest is bountiful. Let's go out and talk."
Ang shook his head.
Anthony naturally knew why Ang was shaking his head and quickly said: "I had De Luo Sa record this world. My lord, you can return to your own consciousness space and rebuild it, so you can enter and exit whenever you want. After all, this is De Luo Sa's consciousness space; he could destroy all your crops at any time."
Ang nodded quickly.
His will retreated. Not long after, an energy mass appeared in the center of the starburst array, spitting out a World Tree seed and two crystals.
Ang took out a blank godhead and, following Anthony's request, placed a mark of will upon it.
De Luo Sa's voice sounded, reluctant: "Can we not place a mark? I can add a few more things."
Anthony said firmly: "No. Without the mark, you could slip out of our perception at any time. Who knows what bad things you'd do in some hidden corner? This is the prerequisite for our trade. If you refuse, we will terminate the trade and confiscate your goods."
"You demons! Fine, mark it then. Are you done?" De Luo Sa said.
Confiscate his goods? His seed had already been handed over; wouldn't terminating the trade be a heavy loss? Placing the mark was part of the agreement anyway; De Luo Sa just wanted to try and argue for it, but it didn't matter if he didn't succeed.
"Don't worry, this is just a perception mark to know your location at all times, just to make it convenient for us to visit. Otherwise, what would we do if you ran around everywhere and got lost?" Anthony comforted him.
Visit, my foot. Isn't it just to monitor his location at all times? This was equivalent to losing all his freedom, being under their surveillance every moment. He couldn't even pull off any small tricks now.
If it weren't for the fact that he was a refugee, De Luo Sa would never have accepted such humiliating conditions.
But there were no "ifs." The profiteer and the charlatan in charge of the negotiations on the other side were much more annoying than Ang. In just a few sentences, they had probed his bottom line, and the conditions they offered were all stuck right at the limit of what he could accept. Ku Ba Da, I really suspect these two guys can see through what I'm thinking.
Projecting his will into the blank godhead, De Luo Sa manifested a phantom and flew toward the plane without looking back, not staying here for even a second longer.
Only then did Nai Ge Li Si have the leisure to ask: "What's the situation? Where did Ang drag you guys to? Why does this De Luo Sa look like he's seen a ghost? What did you guys do? You were only in there for a dozen seconds, right? How does it seem like so much happened?"
Anthony and Silver Coin's expressions shifted: "A dozen seconds? My lord pulled us into De Luo Sa's consciousness space to negotiate. We stayed in there for about half an hour. What do you mean by a dozen seconds?"
"Half an hour? No way. You were talking to me, and while you were talking, you suddenly froze. You recovered in a dozen seconds. Where did half an hour come from?" Nai Ge Li Si was even more confused.
Anthony nodded: "It seems the perception of time inside the consciousness space is different from the outside. It seems next time we have a meeting, we can hold it inside the consciousness space. We can hold it for a long time—hold it for a day, and outside it would only be a few minutes."
"Are you crazy? Hold a meeting for a day? Do you have a meeting addiction?" Nai Ge Li Si was shocked.
"It's a metaphor, a metaphor. Don't interrupt. Let's look at the harvest. This time, we can finally say we know where His Majesty went." While speaking, Anthony took out two crystals and weighed one of them in his hand.
Everyone gathered around. Anthony activated the crystal, and a phantom image immediately spread out.
In the distance was a patch of mist. Within the mist, a huge black shadow was wandering, occasionally watering the ground, weeding, and carrying a massive scythe on its back.
"His Majesty (King)!" everyone subconsciously shouted.
The black shadow happened to turn its head, its eyes flashing with green light.
