Chapter 650: What Did He Stuff Into That Tree
The God of Life's extension thrust out thick, dense roots, plunging downward, and amazingly they all sank into the void; the other end of the void was likely already connected to the upper plane, to the World Tree within the Life God Pool, drawing enormous nourishment, then growing wildly, quickly reaching a height of seven or eight hundred meters, lunging at the War Tree.
Boom boom boom! The God of Life was sent flying back, and it said unhurriedly: "I can't beat it, help me."
The little sapling vigorously waved its true leaves: Grow hard—grow—grow hard—grow—
The seven-or-eight-hundred-meter-tall God of Life grew several hundred meters taller again, and charged up once more.
Boom boom boom! It was sent flying back again, a large chunk missing from its trunk, as if something had ground it apart.
"It's so strong…" the God of Life said unhurriedly.
Lord Nai Ge Li Si was furious: "At a time like this, can you talk a little faster? Stop being so slow."
"Oh, then I'll be a bit faster. It hit my tree-heart, it hurts a little, I might be about to die." The God of Life said unhurriedly.
"…" Everyone was a little speechless. With the God of Life's tone of voice, they really couldn't feel any urgency about it dying.
Lord Nai Ge Li Si probed even further: "How 'fast' is this 'fast' of yours? It's not going to take another few thousand years, is it?"
"Not that long, tomorrow probably." While speaking, it reached out and wiped at the gap in its trunk, wiping off a large puddle of green sap. Even a Bronze Dragon, someone with hardly any perceptive ability, could feel the intense vitality in the green sap.
"Pfft! Tomorrow? Injured this badly? What do we do, what do we do? How are you this weak? It's just the legacy left by your parent tree, and you can't even beat it?" Lord Nai Ge Li Si was terrified, asking urgently.
Seeing Ange tilted his head: "What, save you?"
"Don't you still have a second Immortal Godspark? Symbiose with me." The God of Life said unhurriedly.
Seeing Ange nodded, offering up his Immortal Godspark. His current body was an avatar; the Immortal Godspark on the avatar was empty, the one on his true body had already symbiosed with the little sapling.
The God of Life flung out a speck of green light, which struck the Immortal Godspark, and the two merged into one.
Lord Nai Ge Li Si didn't know what to say. You, God of Life, World Tree… no, it was now rooted in two worlds, it could already be counted as a Void Tree.
A Void Tree, and you symbiose with someone this casually? Do you think you're the little sapling?
The little sapling still claims to be young and ignorant, needing someone to look after it. You're just a retired old tree here minding a child, how can you symbiose with someone so casually? Just because you're about to die?
But the God of Life had recently been following Seeing Ange, with the little sapling occupying one shoulder each, which was actually already pretty close to symbiose, apart from being unable to share power.
Now that the symbiose was complete, the God of Life immediately surged with even greater power, stimulated to grow another two hundred meters taller, already exceeding the opposing War Tree in height.
Then the God of Life unhurriedly waved its hand: "Go…"
The onlookers who couldn't get involved nearly toppled over. Lord Nai Ge Li Si was even more furious: "The moment you symbiose you make Seeing Ange go? How well you know how to order people around!"
The God of Life said unhurriedly: "I'm not good at fighting…"
Actually, it didn't need to say so. Seeing Ange had already gone. From the moment the symbiose began, Seeing Ange had felt a steady, surging stream of power pouring in from the God of Life.
This was a super life-form nearly a hundred thousand years old. When it was in the main plane, even the Lich Monarch didn't much want to provoke it; the Lich Monarch at that time already had a Black Crystal Body.
But the God of Life wasn't very good at war, especially not good at fighting the Tree of War. Usually it was the Tree of War that came to guard it. On top of that, this wasn't the main plane, its true body wasn't here, and the power it projected couldn't exert its maximum effect.
But if it couldn't exert it, once transmitted to Seeing Ange through the symbiose, the effect that could be exerted was different.
Scales surged across Seeing Ange's body, transforming into a muscular version of the Dragon God. His back muscles bulged, two flesh-wings sprang out, and with a light flap, Seeing Ange became an arrow shooting toward the Tree of War.
The Tree of War swept up the surrounding rubble and hurled it with all its might.
Seeing Ange's flesh-wings beat, his whole body drifting nimbly left and right, easily dodging these unremarkable stones.
Every now and then he would abruptly pause, accelerate, change direction. At every turn, clusters of roots would suddenly thrust out ahead of his original trajectory, viciously constricting together, yet not a single one could touch Seeing Ange.
Seeing Seeing Ange dodge all its attacks, the War Tree sensed danger. A fruit suddenly grew from its trunk, which it scooped into its hand and flung over.
Seeing Ange grabbed the Lightning Spear and threw it with a flick. The fruit was struck and detonated from afar, a large swath of green pulp scattering outward.
"Oh, it's a Goer's Gel Fruit, but there's so much more gel." Lord Nai Ge Li Si exclaimed.
"Yeah, way bigger than Goer. Its height is over a thousand meters, Goer is only around a hundred meters. I really doubt it could grow this tall inside the plane." Durroken said curiously, then flew toward the God of Life.
He pulled out a vessel, gave it a shake, and gestured at the green sap on the God of Life's palm.
The God of Life held its palm out. Durroken's eyes immediately lit up as he pounced, scraping all the sap into the bottle.
Sap from the heartwood of the God of Life Tree — that was something no one had even heard of. Used as an alchemy material, it was sure to have special effects.
Inside the plane there's gravity, trees don't easily grow tall. If one grew this tall, its density and hardness must be very high. The higher the density, the greater the mass, and the more weight the trunk had to bear, ultimately resulting in an exponential increase in strength.
A War Tree a thousand meters tall with a five-hundred-meter diameter was already nearly the same as the God of Life's true body. Could a War Tree really be bigger than the God of Life?
In the gaps of these few exchanges, Seeing Ange had already closed to a certain distance, and flung out a streak of light — Guardian Bulwark.
The War Tree's vision blurred, and Seeing Ange had vanished. A very strange power landed on its body, wrapping around it like a membrane.
Within a range of a few meters, the Guardian Bulwark was very sturdy, but the Tree of War was simply too massive, stretching the Guardian Bulwark out of shape. With a slight movement, the Guardian Bulwark, swollen thousands of times over, burst like a bubble.
Having burst through this membrane that couldn't hurt it, the War Tree searched somewhat oddly for Seeing Ange's trail, finally spotting the little bug on its own body, and without a word swung its hand over.
Seeing Ange had no choice but to take flight, circling around the War Tree as if looking for an opening.
Lord Nai Ge Li Si frowned and said: "Why's he going in circles? Can't beat it? That strong? Old tree, you go, stop watching the show."
"Not yet." Anthony stopped him: "Don't rush. I saw my lord stuff something onto that tree."
PS: Uh, went to watch the ball game yesterday and didn't update…
