Chapter 946: The Great Unification of the Seven Forces

~7 min read 1,321 words

Ziolara picked up his severed arm, dazed and struggling to accept it: “How could this happen? Is the Mourning Body really this fragile?”

“What’s the big deal? It wasn’t this sword that cut you—it was Chaos Force. That’s a primordial force, one rank above Mourning. Getting cut is normal. Just don’t let it hit you, or block it with your own primordial force,” Nagelis said.

Chaos Force is one of the primordial forces, the ultimate primordial force—the power that annihilates all after the Eternal Divine Light’s Red Transformation. Only Ang could resist it, and even then, only by combining Time Primordial and Consciousness Primordial forces.

This involved incredibly complex interactions among primordial forces, so Ang even sucked all life from the entire Chaos Plane into a dimensional space.

Yet this ultimate primordial force, once exclusive to the Eternal Divine Light, inexplicably appeared in humans of this world—every human is born with it and can cultivate it into Battle Qi.

It’s like in a magic world where everyone is inherently attuned to elements—absolute innate talent overload.

Du Luo Ken’s weapon merely manipulated Chaos Force skillfully, channeling it through the entire blade and concentrating it at the edge. Even the Mourning Body couldn’t withstand a strike from primordial force—only another primordial force could block it.

If Chaos Force is the ultimate primordial, then Chaos Mist is Consciousness Primordial; the King’s Primordial Body belongs to Consciousness Primordial.

Besides these, there’s Dark Primordial, Zhang Zui’s Devouring Primordial, Ang’s Time Primordial, Dongdong Chong’s Spatial Primordial, and the World Tree’s Life Primordial.

Of these seven primordial forces, the ultimate and consciousness primordials both originate from the Eternal Divine Light.

And Ang, as the Time Primordial, is also the sovereign of Darkness and the Abyss, eats with Dongdong Chong, coexists with the World Tree, generates endless consciousness increments through his dimensional space, and even devoured the giant red sphere of ultimate primordial—so Ang is truly the one who achieved the Great Unification of the Seven Forces—the Cultivation Primordial!

Yet ordinary humans possess Chaos Force, instantly shattering the balance of the seven primordials. If humans can harness Chaos Force, they become unstoppable blades, destroying everything until they meet another primordial force.

The King never left to seek revenge because he hadn’t restored his primordial force—anyone with Chaos Force could pierce his defenses.

“So the best way to deal with Chaos Force is to avoid being hit. Strike him with a soul impact,” Nagelis pointed out.

“Huh? He’s my descendant—what if I shock him into stupidity?” Ziolara said.

“Then throw your soul armor at him, or give him a Death Breath Shockwave—do you know how to use Death Breath Shockwave?” Nagelis said.

Hearing this, Du Luo Ken knew Nagelis was teasing again. The man feared shocking his own descendant into madness, yet Nagelis was suggesting Death Breath Shockwave? One blast and there’d be nothing left but ash.

But this reminded Du Luo Ken—he needed to focus on defense. Otherwise, even with a sharp blade, he’d get killed by a single arrow, and that’d be ridiculous.

Thinking this, Du Luo Ken pulled out two shields—one plated with Chaos Stone, the other with Black Crystal.

He flicked his finger at the ground; a stone pillar slowly rose. He tied it to the pillar and told Roland: “Come on, try cutting it—full power.”

Roland stepped forward, channeling Battle Qi into his sword. The blade glowed red, then slashed horizontally.

*Clang!* The Black Crystal-plated shield deflected the sword, but left a deep gouge on its surface—the plating cracked.

Du Luo Ken crossed his arms, thinking: So Black Crystal does offer some defense against Chaos Force. If it were Chaos Black Crystal, it’d be better—but this is enough. If the Lord coats armor with even a thin layer of Black Crystal, it’ll withstand normal slashes. No wonder the Lord coated the Emperor’s armor early on—I’ll ask him to coat mine too.

Though the plating cracked, it’s not easy to strike the exact same groove twice. If you hit it right, both shield and pillar split clean in two.

Roland channeled Battle Qi again and swung at the Chaos Stone-plated shield.

*Boom!* The shield exploded. The sword shattered. The pillar cracked apart.

Roland stared at his broken sword, face twisted in pain.

Du Luo Ken analyzed silently: Chaos Stone and Chaos Force are incompatible—their interaction releases all energy explosively. So, for ranged weapons, plate with Chaos Stone: when the enemy blocks with Chaos Force, it explodes. For armor, plate with Black Crystal.

With this idea settled, Du Luo Ken vanished without a word, leaving Roland holding a broken sword and Ziolara holding a severed arm, both bewildered.

Nagelis soothed: “Roland, stick with your old one for now. Du Luo Ken has an idea—he’ll forge you something better later. Ziolara, remove this bone segment and replace it with a new one. Spend some time tempering it—you’ll grow it back in a year or two.”

“Oh, okay,” Roland quickly tucked away his broken sword.

He only felt sorry the sword was broken—but now that Du Luo Ken might forge him something better, his heart raced. Even if someone held a knife to his junk, he wouldn’t leave.

Still, he couldn’t bring himself to throw the broken sword away—he made a short scabbard and used it as a short blade.

Soon, Du Luo Ken produced his new creation: cloaks for everyone. Anthony’s was specially made—white with gold trim, radiating holiness and solemnity. The others were plain gray—even Ang got one.

Ang was dragged off to work. After finishing, he received a cloak, utterly baffled.

Nagelis leaned in, surprised: “There’s silk inside. Ang, you’re raising silkworms?”

Ang nodded, then shook his head: “Yixianni raised them. This—spider silk.”

Silk fabric is a vital base material—used for underwear, scrolls, face masks, shrouds, etc.—so Ang had long begun raising silkworms, feeding them World Tree leaves daily, until he finally produced a batch of qualified silkworms.

Now, he only needed to breed different strains—even Yixianni could raise them in the Scorching Wind Forest without Ang’s help.

But the silk woven into the cloaks now wasn’t silkworm silk—it was spider silk, incredibly strong: a single strand could support six hundred times its own weight, enabling spiders to weave webs between two mountain peaks.

Ang fed them insects that had eaten World Tree leaves—spider silk performance improved dramatically.

Du Luo Ken was an alchemist, spending his life with materials—he couldn’t ignore such superior material. He quickly wove it with World Tree fibers into cloaks. Anthony’s was even 95% spider silk.

“A cloak—even if it’s all spider silk—what’s the point? Can’t you tear it?” Nagelis tugged hard—it didn’t tear.

“Careful, careful—this is a Double-Plated Chaos Black Crystal Explosive Reaction Spider Silk Defense Cloak. Designed specifically for Chaos Force. Roland, slash it with your Chaos Battle Qi.” Du Luo Ken draped a cloak over a stone pillar and tossed Roland a new Dragon-Grain Steel Core Crystal-Plated sword.

Roland didn’t dare use the new sword—he pulled out his broken one, channeled Battle Qi, and slashed the cloak.

*Boom!* This explosion was fiercer than before—shattering Roland’s broken sword and flinging it away, while the stone pillar beneath remained untouched.

“Whoa! So that’s what you meant by explosive reaction? Any Chaos Battle Qi slash triggers it?” Nagelis exclaimed.

“Yes. The Chaos Stone plating explodes, and the second layer—Black Crystal—reflects all explosive damage outward. Now you’re safe from Chaos Battle Qi.”

“Impressive. Any drawbacks?” Nagelis asked.

Du Luo Ken nodded: “Biggest drawback—it’s single-use. Once exploded, defense plummets—only spider silk’s toughness remains. Strike the same spot again, and the defense breaks. Can’t fix this—just make several and rotate them.”

Roland’s heart pounded. What was luxury? Make several and rotate them?

“No no no—that’s not a drawback,” Silver Coin returned, saying: “Lord Du Luo Ken, make a stripped-down version—single plating, or no spider silk. I’ll sell it to Empress Feile. Oh, by the way, Lord, the Feile Empire’s delegation is ready—when can we depart?”
