Chapter 11: The Friendship with Minghe
The Honghuang Blood Sea is boundless and endless.
The seawater is blood-red; the sky is stained crimson.
Above and below merge into one color, dim and heavy, with countless malevolent Sha s surging straight to the ninth heaven.
In this boundless crimson, countless spectral remnants struggle in agony within the blood sea.
Their faces are grotesque; terrifying roars rise and fall, echoing in all directions.
This is a uniquely special place.
If any location in Honghuang could most directly connect to the demonic gods, it must be the Blood Sea.
For here remain the bloodstains of numerous demonic gods from the War of Creation.
The power of Pangu intertwines with the power of these demonic gods, making it a place of malevolent Sha in Honghuang’s heavens and earth.
It is also the place where the filth of heaven and earth is most concentrated.
Yet in this very place, a primordial great deity was born.
The Blood Sea Mansion.
Minghe has recently had two great joys.
The first is his resurrection—he has returned to life, perfectly restored.
And all negative effects upon him have been completely purged.
“Indeed, no corruption is unsolved by dying once.”
“If it is, then die twice!”
Minghe thought to himself with considerable pride.
He had once consumed a dao friend’s pill and shattered into four hundred and eighty million fragments.
Later, fortune turned misfortune into blessing—he awakened a supreme body-splitting technique called the Blood Spirit Child.
But at the time, the Blood Spirit Child’s power was still incomplete.
Yet this time, through his experience of dying and being reborn, he finally comprehended its truth and further perfected it.
“Now, even if I die eighty million times, it won’t matter!”
Minghe’s heart was filled with gratitude toward Jing Yao.
Though the scene when he consumed the body-splitting pill was terrifying, the subsequent effects were truly effective.
He had truly gained something.
During the Wanxiang Pill incident, although Minghe himself suffered minor injuries, his opponent was gone!
So in Minghe’s view, Jing Yao’s abilities were unquestionable.
“Minor side effects? I, Minghe, can fully bear them!”
Minghe had already decided—he would seek out Jing Yao again for pills next time.
And Minghe’s second great joy.
A lotus deep within the Blood Sea was nearly ripe!
The Karma Fire Red Lotus.
Ranked among the four primordial lotus thrones, it is a supreme primordial spiritual treasure.
It possesses immense defensive power, the ability to purify karma, the ability to suppress fortune, and more!
With it, paired with the killing swords Yuan Tu and A Bi, Minghe’s foundation for securing his place in Honghuang grows ever stronger.
“Now, as I roam Honghuang’s heavens and earth, traverse Zhou Tian’s myriad worlds, and journey along the river of time, I refuse to believe I’ll still stumble into so many traps!”
Minghe recalled the last trap he’d encountered, his heart seething: “You think I have no protective treasures, do you? Just you wait!”
“Once I assimilate the Karma Fire Red Lotus, I’ll settle accounts with you!”
“Who are you planning to settle accounts with?” “Need help?”
Xiang Xuanqing pushed open the door and saw Minghe venting his fury.
“Xiang Xuanqing?” Seeing his unexpected friend, Minghe froze.
“How did you get in?”
“Just like this!” Xiang Xuanqing smirked—success.
He stepped back and closed the door.
When he opened it again, he reappeared before Minghe.
Minghe stared, dumbfounded.
“This is a spiritual treasure I just assimilated…”
Xiang Xuanqing briefly explained to Minghe the function of the Ghost Gate.
Minghe’s eyes lit up upon hearing it: “This spiritual treasure is excellent!”
The ability to teleport anywhere at will, bypassing all restrictions and arrays—it’s a perfect tool for ambushes!
“Not quite that powerful,” Xiang Xuanqing smiled.
He explained: “You can only achieve precise targeting to places you’ve been to. Otherwise, teleportation remains random.”
“That’s still great—surprises and unexpected events are part of the charm. A little uncertainty isn’t bad.”
Minghe himself loved adventure; he thought the Ghost Gate’s function was truly excellent.
“Perhaps,” Xiang Xuanqing replied noncommittally.
“By the way, I came to discuss something with you.”
“Go ahead.”
Xiang Xuanqing said: “I’ve revised the rules of the Underworld—I plan to seal all other entrances to Mingjie, leaving only your Blood Sea entrance open.”
“That’s all? No problem!”
Minghe said they were close friends—he didn’t even need to be told.
“As long as you have no objections.”
Xiang Xuanqing smiled. “I have two other spiritual treasures nearly ready—I’ll see you soon.”
“Wait! Don’t go yet!” Minghe grabbed him as he turned to leave:
“I know you too well—you only provide ideas and materials for spiritual treasures; the rest is all handled by your Hunyuan Cauldron!”
“Come, come—I have some good news to share with you.”
Without another word, Minghe led Xiang Xuanqing deep into the Blood Sea.
A stunning lotus bloomed in the blood pool.
Its petals reached twelve levels—supreme form!
“The Karma Fire Red Lotus is nearly ripe?” This time, it was Xiang Xuanqing who was surprised.
He knew the Blood Sea had the Karma Fire Red Lotus—Minghe had shown it off to him more than once.
He just hadn’t expected to arrive just as it was ripening.
“Hehe!”
Minghe grinned proudly. “When the Karma Fire Red Lotus ripens, its karma fire principles and the truths of the Dao will be laid bare—perfect for cultivation insight.”
“I came to the Underworld to find you precisely for this—I didn’t come to you, so I was about to come find you anyway!”
