Chapter 154 - 139: Leaving

"I am naturally aware of the priorities," Jade-faced Princess said slowly, her eyes revealing a hint of complexity that was barely perceptible.

Her childhood dream, the person she once admired the most, was thus walking towards his own destiny.

She walked through the Cave Mansion with a somewhat desolate expression, and sighed softly.

Several days later, Lin Fang, accompanied by a group of monsters, left Zhilei Mountain. King Niumo stood on the peak watching their departure and sighed lightly, his expression bleak as he returned to his Cave Mansion to continue indulging in fine wine.

A disciple of the Buddhist Sect, secretly watching from the shadows, whispered to his companion, "Where are they headed? We should hurry back to Mount Ling to report."

As he spoke, he turned his head to find that his companion, at some point, had become stupefied, his eyes gleaming with a pale green light.

"Illusion Technique!" he exclaimed in a low voice.

"It’s no wonder you are from the Buddhist Sect; your insight is indeed exceptional," a very frail voice came from the darkness.

The voice carried an ultimate seductive power, causing him to feel his mind waver uncontrollably, almost unable to suppress his body’s instinctive urges.

A swaying figure slowly emerged from the darkness, a woman of stunning beauty with ears on her head and a tail behind her, declaring her identity as a Fox Spirit—none other than the Jade-faced Princess who was just in Moyun Cave.

"What kind of monster are you?" the monk shouted loudly.

"Little master speaks quite interestingly. Isn’t it obvious what kind of monster I am?" the Jade-faced Princess replied, gently swaying her fox tail.

The splash of white in the monk’s eyes possessed a strange allure. He quickly bit his tongue until blood flowed, maintaining his sanity, preventing himself from becoming a slave to her.

"This little monk is really amusing. Why bite your own tongue when you can bite mine?" the Jade-faced Princess said, lightly sticking out her tongue, full of exotic charm.

The monk immediately felt his mind waver; the beautiful monster before him seemed like the heart-fluttering emotions of his youth, almost compelling him to kneel at her feet.

He knew this was a manifestation of falling under an Illusion Technique and hurriedly recited the Buddhist Scriptures, attempting to dispel the wicked thoughts in his heart, but the more he did so, the more his mind staggered, buzzing with irritation and showing signs of falling into madness.

"Stop playing, the Buddhist Sect has many Secret Techniques. If he leaves any clues, it might be troublesome," a more robust voice came from the darkness.

The Jade-faced Princess then pouted, and Mana surged, completely enveloping the monk. In just a moment, the monk was gazing infatuatedly at the Jade-faced Princess before him.

"Do you love me?" the Jade-faced Princess asked gently.

The monk nodded fervently, his eyes fixated on the Jade-faced Princess.

"Then could you please die for me?"

Without any hesitation, the monk struck his own crown, and instantly, blood streamed from his seven orifices, and he died.

Seeing this, a slight smile appeared on the face of the Jade-faced Princess. Her white fox tail gently swayed, sucking in the soul that was about to emerge and erasing all traces of the body.

"Tell King Niumo that we’ve done what we agreed to. The rest is up to him," the voice slowly faded into the woods.

Upon hearing this, the Jade-faced Princess managed a bitter smile, and looking at Moyun Cave not far away, she murmured to herself, "This is all I can help you with."

At the same time, the party of Journey to the West was gradually approaching Zhilei Mountain, this time without the Banana Fan, and they didn’t know how they would get past the legendary Flame Mountain.

However, all this was unrelated to Lin Fang, who had already embarked on his journey to Luzhou in the North, not knowing when he would return here again.

On the way, they braved the wind and dew, and was in a hurry day and night until they finally saw the sea.

The blue ocean merged with the azure sky as several white seagulls skimmed over the water.

A giant ship was docked at the shore, surrounded by numerous busy figures.

However, upon closer inspection, one would realize these figures were not humans but humanoid monsters.

They each had fish gills and scales on their faces, and their bodies were dripping wet as if they had just climbed out of the water, emitting a strong smell of the sea.

"Hurry up, be careful with your hides if you miss the time," a monster with a sea star on his face bellowed as he wielded a long whip, occasionally landing it on some of the monsters, ripping their flesh open.

All the monsters dared not speak out in anger, each bowing their heads and diligently attending to their tasks.

"Smack!" The whip struck a frail monster, immediately leaving a deep mark and blood slowly oozed out.

"Trash, so slow-moving, haven’t you eaten?" the monster angrily scolded.

The frail Little demon could no longer hold on and collapsed on the ground; the people around him hurriedly carried him into the cabin of the ship.

The lower part of the cabin was filled with water, where many monsters lay haphazardly, each barely breathing and showing signs of being whipped.

"Little brother, just rest well here, if you’re lucky, you might survive," one of the older monsters among those who carried him in sighed softly.

"Old Catfish, you really worry too much, what does this little thing’s fate have to do with us, why bother saying so much," his companion sneered.

"Alas, they are all young, if we can save one, it counts as one. Moreover, if all these little ones die, the work will fall to us, then can you guarantee you won’t be lying here?"

Old Catfish’s words made the accompanying monsters exchange glances, a look of dread appearing in their eyes.

"Try to bring them some food if you get the chance!" a monster hesitantly suggested.

"I have some medicine for wounds let’s bring that over too."

The group offered suggestions, showing that when it comes to self-interest, even monsters are no exception.

As time passed, box after box of cargo was loaded onto the giant ship, cramming the entire cabin full. Seeing this, the leader of the monsters showed a pleased smile, put away his whip, ordered launch, and then went to his room to rest.

Watching him leave, the surviving monsters all revealed sly smiles, grateful that their lives had been spared for now.

They squeezed into the cramped space, feeling the ship sway and knew that their voyage had begun.

"Finally got rid of that Living King Yama. With his disposition, he likely won’t come out again," someone said with a chuckle.

"Isn’t that obvious? Didn’t you see how spacious his cabin was? He’d hardly come out to squeeze with us," another mocked.
