Chapter 156 - 141 Manifestation

~7 min read 1,343 words

"Wow, we from the Demon Clan actually have such a formidable figure." A monster exclaimed.

"Disperse, disperse, such a powerful person has nothing to do with us. It’s better to think about where to have a good time when we return."

The monsters gradually dispersed, and the topic returned to the inside of the Dragon Palace.

A monster asked with a laugh, "Old Catfish, has your grandson gotten married yet? I still have many daughters who haven’t been married off. How about we become in-laws?"

Suddenly, a bunch of monsters started teasing, and the air in the cabin filled with a merry atmosphere.

"Off you go, stop making a fuss. Given the talent of Old Catfish’s grandson, he might just become the Prince Consort of the Dragon Palace one day. Don’t get your hopes up," a few creatures who were on good terms with Old Catfish chimed in to defuse the situation.

Old Catfish just smiled and didn’t join in the conversation. At this moment, he had already started subconsciously keeping his distance from these former brothers, because once he returned, they would be people from two different worlds.

Amidst the merriment, what they didn’t know was that, at the very bottom of the cabin, in the murky wastewater, the young Little Monster who had been beaten black and blue suddenly opened his eyes, with a hint of a smile on his lips.

He slowly stood up, the wounds on his body healing rapidly. He gradually moved towards the cabin from the water, his scales quickly receding, and in an instant he transformed into a handsome young man, none other than Lin Fang who had left Zhilei Mountain.

"That was really close. The Buddhist Sect really wasn’t planning to let me go. Luckily, I was clever," Lin Fang said to himself with a smile.

With a breath, a breeze whistled through the cabin, dispersing the unpleasant odor lingering in the air. Looking at the Little Monster who was still wailing in the water, Lin Fang sighed softly.

He took out an Elixir and held it in his hand, gently blew on it, and the Elixir instantly turned into a sparkly powder that scattered in the water.

All the injured felt their wounds healing at a visibly fast rate, and they weakly opened their eyes one by one to see the clean-cut young man standing at the entrance. They thought they were dreaming.

Lin Fang sighed softly and no longer paid attention to these people, walking forward with a leisurely stride.

Passing by the storage area, he took an interested look into the cargo boxes and discovered they were filled with Spiritual Objects. The quantity was quite significant.

Lin Fang shook his head secretly, thinking the Dragon Palace was indeed stingy. Although Magical Storing Tools were rare, the wealth of the Dragon Palace should be able to afford them, but they did not plan to give out even two.

He let those materials simply lie there. After all, even though they weren’t extremely precious, what they lacked in rarity they made up for in volume and broad sales appeal. They were essentially the Three Realms’ solid currency.

"Not bad, although the items aren’t very precious, there is a considerable quantity. It’s not too shabby," Lin Fang murmured to himself, quite pleased as he surveyed the cargo on the ship.

Perhaps it was because of the noise he made, a monster resting in his room, face full of anger, came out holding a whip, storming towards the cabin.

As he walked, he cursed, "That damn brat is asking for trouble, daring to run amok in the cargo hold."

He kicked open the door of the cargo hold and immediately saw Lin Fang browsing as if he were in his own kitchen, and was stunned on the spot.

As if his head were covered in question marks, he didn’t understand where this guy had come from.

"Who are you?" he asked with a hint of fear.

"My name is Lin Fang," Lin Fang said with a smile, gazing thoughtfully at the monster that had barged in.

Hearing Lin Fang introduce himself, the monster froze, finding the name eerily familiar. He sized Lin Fang up and down before it suddenly dawned on him that the man before him was none other than the notorious figure wanted by the Buddhist Sect, the one who dared to challenge Buddha himself.

A chill rushed from the heel to the head in an instant, and he took two fearful steps back, his hand holding the whip already trembling slightly.

"What do you want to do?" he asked with a quivering voice.

"What do I want to do? Those two whips of yours really hurt me," Lin Fang said with a squint and a smile.

"A misunderstanding, a pure misunderstanding. If I had known it was you, the hero, I wouldn’t dare to hurt you, not even if it killed me. I hope you can be magnanimous and spare me this one time."

This monster knelt on the ground without any dignity, ceaselessly begging for mercy, hoping that Lin Fang would let him go.

Lin Fang walked up with a smile, took the whip from his hand, and with a flick on the ground, created a crack of the whip that echoed in the warehouse, causing the monster to shiver all over.

"Nice thing!" Lin Fang said with a sly smile on his face as he looked at the kneeling monster.

"If the hero likes it, I will present this whip to you with both hands."

No sooner had the words left his mouth than a flash of the whip left a bloody mark on the monster’s body, the intense pain forcing him to grimace, yet he dared not make a sound.

With an ugly smile still on his face, he said, "I’m blind to a great man like you, I beg for your mercy, hero."

Lin Fang, however, looked at the fellow with surprise, not expecting him to be so tolerant, quite a character indeed.

"So what do you think of the Buddhist Sect?"

"What’s the Buddhist Sect anyway? If it weren’t for their strength, I’d be itching to rush up to Mount Ling and spit in those Buddhas’ faces. Hero, going against the Buddhist Sect is something that would delight everyone’s heart," the monster replied without hesitation.

Let alone insulting the Buddhist Sect, he would insult his own ancestors eighteen generations back without batting an eye if it meant saving his life.

"Not bad, I’m quite satisfied that you have that mindset. We’ll put the rest of the whippings on hold for now," Lin Fang said.

Upon hearing these words, it was like heavenly music to the ears of the kneeling monster, who immediately kowtowed and said, "Thank you, hero, thank you."

But in his heart, he was planning to report Lin Fang as soon as he got out.

However, Lin Fang calmly took out a crystal stone from his bosom, gently inputted mana into it, and a segment of conversation appeared—it was the monster’s earlier insult towards the Buddhist Sect.

"What do you mean by this, hero?" the monster asked stiffly, feeling his tongue dry up and couldn’t help swallowing his saliva.

"Nothing much, just thought that what you said was quite good and should be heard by everyone in the Three Realms, the voice of the people," Lin Fang said nonchalantly.

Upon hearing this, the monster crawled a few steps forward and hugged Lin Fang’s legs, crying and sniveling, "Spare me, hero! I have elders above and children below. If you put this out there, I’m finished!"

"Oh, that’s also true, then I’ll just put it away!" Lin Fang pretended to have an epiphany and put away the crystal stone.

Seeing this, the monster knew he had no way out and showed a look of despair on his face.

Yet, Lin Fang walked into the warehouse with interest, looking at the goods on the ship.

"There are quite a few nice things here, where are they all headed?"
