Chapter 1345 1345: 1345 Divine Game: Graveyard of Bones 67
As petals of Flower Crown Murder drifted gently onto cups, teapots, fruits, and vases, everything on the table began to move in chaotic patterns.
What had been a quiet table instantly turned into a high-speed racing track. Some cups even lifted off the surface and claimed air routes.
"You drive."
Rita shifted aside and handed control of the helm to Nivalis. She took off the flag behind her, wrapped it around herself like a cloak, and gripped the flagpole.
The boat was too slow. Dodging purely by maneuvering was unrealistic. She planned to use the pole to push obstacles away in advance.
The pole was part of the ship. As long as Cat's Ideal stayed in hunting mode, it would not be detected.
Though honestly, she still had no idea how a hunting mode the King had praised so highly had been spotted so easily by Deceitful Bloom and Foolishness.
For now, she blamed it on Cat's Ideal not being upgraded to King-tier yet.
Most objects on the table were moving. Some fast, some slow.
A few remained completely still. That probably depended on the mood of their owners. Decorative items with no owners seemed curious about everything.
Nivalis reduced speed to the limit. The King's rule was clear. No more than one meter per second.
She tried to avoid the roaming cups in advance. If something could not be avoided, Rita pushed it aside with the pole.
The objects moved unpredictably. Sudden turns were normal. But if everything passing a certain path got pushed away, that would look suspicious.
So Nivalis had to steer in curves. S-shaped, Z-shaped routes across the table.
When things became too obvious, Rita would raise her soft paw and intercept them early, making collisions look natural.
As long as the boat did not fall off the table, it was fine.
The biggest problem was the dirty sock created by QM Foolishness.
It ran wildly across the table. Every time it passed them, it shook itself like a wet animal, spraying dust and grime all over Rita and Nivalis.
Nivalis said, "I've been meaning to ask. When did you give Lord Foolishness a sock? Is it this one?"
Using honorifics now was a bit late.
Rita replied, "…QM Foolishness stole it."
Nivalis sniffed dramatically. "Following you was the best decision of my life. Who would've thought you'd rise this fast? I told you back then you were a heart-stealer. Those two rabbits even called you a dummy."
Rita said, "…Say less. Leave me a way out. I really was busy. That's why I couldn't come get you sooner."
Nivalis huffed twice.
Too late.
The sock went berserk.
It suddenly turned into something like a jet mushroom. It moved alongside them while spraying foul gas in every direction.
The gas had knockback.
For every two meters forward, the boat got pushed back one.
Between that and the chaotic objects, a table less than five meters long took them five full minutes to cross.
Watching the tiny hairless cat flail its flagpole awkwardly, Deceitful Bloom and Foolishness raised their cups and clinked them in sync.
Across from them, Hearthsmoke and the usually quiet Mischief exchanged suspicious looks.
Deceitful Bloom smiled. "Thinking about BS Rita and QM Rita fighting themselves makes me laugh."
Foolishness, still in sunglasses, looked cool and indifferent. "Same."
Rita: "…"
Nivalis perked up immediately. "There's a story behind that?"
Rita said, "I'll tell you later."
Just as the King had said, hunting mode required patience.
The boat could not move fast.
But aside from Deceitful Bloom and Foolishness, no one else noticed them.
After the initial chaos, things went smoothly. Other tables did not have animated cups.
Once they left that table, Rita finally had the chance to listen to conversations around the tavern.
Occasionally, she could even glimpse the battlefield of Graveyard of Bones through the screens in front of the gods.
So this was how they watched.
Whether it was because there were so few players left, or because gods simply enjoyed discussing them, Rita kept hearing names like Mistblade, Maple Syrup, and Cicada.
"Seriously, when are these players going to figure out how to reduce fatal weaknesses?"
At that line, both Rita and Nivalis leaned slightly, tilting their ears toward the source.
"I still don't get why Divine Game doesn't just put it in the quest description."
"Not only is it hidden, we get punished for hinting at it."
"Even if players discover it themselves, they can't tell others. That's just cruel."
"I still regret missing that chance."
"Same. Who would've thought Starsea players could claim rewards from Order Clock using world titles? I was a World Lord back then."
System Notification
Congratulations to player BS Rita. You have unlocked a hidden method to reduce fatal weaknesses.
Warning. You are forbidden from sharing this information with other Starsea players.
For each player informed, fatal weaknesses +1.
Rita was thrilled.
Then she realized the problem.
The Autumn Deer who had spoken last suddenly stood up in shock.
"What is going on? Why did I get punished?"
"What do you mean?"
"The system says I revealed the method to reduce fatal weaknesses. As punishment, I get one more fatal weakness. When did that even happen?"
"…There's no way there's a player here, right?"
Deceitful Bloom and Foolishness fell silent.
The tavern went quiet.
Deceitful Bloom closed her eyes. The hand supporting her chin shifted slightly, covering half her face.
Foolishness adjusted her sunglasses.
Rita nudged Nivalis. "Go, go, go. Let's hide behind the bar."
The boat started moving again at its slow pace.
The hairless cat stood tensely, scanning every god's expression.
Hearthsmoke and Mischief exchanged knowing looks.
In the suffocating silence, Foolishness cleared her throat.
"I recall a player with an eavesdropping ability."
Deceitful Bloom nodded. "Or maybe chaotic Starsea is playing tricks again. Didn't it send me to Quiet Mountain to fetch someone before?"
"Sounds reasonable."
The entire tavern looked at them strangely.
As if waiting to see what nonsense they would come up with next.
Deceitful Bloom and Foolishness: "......"
Deceitful Bloom opened a private chat.
"If she doesn't pour me drinks in the future, I'm going to kill her."
Foolishness replied, "She better use Nivalis to drive us home."
