Chapter 853: A Belated Volume Summary
A Belated Volume Summary
A Belated Volume Summary
The plot of the chapter "Jing'an" serves as the conclusion to this great battle, so I have placed the summary for the previous volume after this chapter.
The reason I did not make "Jing'an" the final chapter of the fourth volume is that I wanted the end of the volume to have more "impact," keeping everyone's emotions at their peak before concluding, which echoes the previous volumes better.
Having "Jing'an" serve as the first chapter of the fifth volume is actually quite good, because both the chapter title and the 【Jing'an】 divine ability are related to the plot direction of the fifth volume; it can be considered a farewell for Li Fei before he begins a new journey~
It has been popular online to write the beginning and end of a story in two sentences.
So, for the story between Li Fei and the Emperor, I summarized it in the previous chapter with two sentences:
"Commoner Li Fei pays his respects to Your Majesty."
"Marquis of Jing'an Li Fei bids farewell to Your Majesty."
For a ruler and his subject, this can be considered a beginning and an end, a fitting conclusion to their relationship.
I previously said that I would give the first volume of this book a score of 50, the second volume 60, and the third volume a passing 70.
For the fourth volume, it started with a battle against the Northern Barbarians, and the plot was basically a series of climaxes, with the pacing handled quite well.
As for character development, the characters Qiming, Qi Zhou, Xu Jing, Bai Chen, the Third Imperial Prince, and the Emperor in this volume should all be relatively memorable.
It is a pity that there was a bit too little written about Zhang Yuanhong, so the final twist lacked a certain spark and did not quite reach the ideal feeling I wanted to write.
There was enough written about Xiang Yunshu, but the character felt a bit flat and also not ideal.
When I have time later, I will go back and refine the previous content. In fact, some readers have already discovered that sometimes a chapter posted yesterday will have more content when viewed today; this is part of my refinement process.
Since the first volume of this book, I have intended to refine it again, making subtle adjustments to some of the plot and character development. I will notify everyone once it is all finished, which can be considered a little perk for the readers of the official version—paying once to see two versions of the content~
For the fourth volume's score, I personally feel it could reach 75; I wonder what you all think?
Finally, let's talk about the upcoming fifth volume, "Dragons and Snakes Rise from the Land." Looking at the "introduction, development, transition, and conclusion" of a book, starting from the fifth volume, we will gradually enter the climax of this story.
I hope I can write even more exciting plotlines.
Last but not least, thank you all for your support and subscriptions along the way—
