Chapter 17: Two Sons Who Don't Act Like Sons (Please follow and read!!!)
Regardless of whether Hiruzen Sarutobi was one of the masterminds behind the persecution of the Uchiha in the original work, as long as Hiruzen Sarutobi had not yet become that person, whether out of self-preservation or gratitude, Sakukaze would not reveal any intention of hostility toward Hiruzen Sarutobi.
As for the Senju Clan possibly being suppressed by Hiruzen Sarutobi, what did that have to do with him, Uchiha Sakukaze? He didn't even know anyone from the Senju Clan, and he wasn't some saint; where would he get such noble aspirations to save the world?
Besides, isn't it common knowledge that if something goes wrong in Konoha, you look for Danzang first?
Therefore, facing Hiruzen Sarutobi's praise, Sakukaze pretended to be as excited as Kakashi, while at the same time speaking with a touch of humility:
"You overpraise us, Lord Hokage. We will work even harder in the future."
Hiruzen Sarutobi, unaware of Uchiha Sakukaze's internal monologue, couldn't stop marveling at the excellence of the two after seeing the performance of Sakukaze and Kakashi.
However, he did indeed have a lot of work to do and couldn't spend much more time interacting with the two geniuses of Konoha.
So, even though he had the heart to continue the conversation, Hiruzen Sarutobi still spoke up:
"Sakukaze and Kakashi, you two shouldn't be so humble. I believe that even Kagami and Sakumo would feel very proud of you."
"This old man still has work to do, so I won't keep you here feeling uncomfortable. Hurry back and get some rest; you must be tired after being busy for so many days."
"Fugaku, I'll have to trouble you to take care of these two children, Sakukaze and Kakashi, and put more effort into guiding them."
"Rest assured, Lord Hokage, I will not let you down."
"In that case, we shall take our leave."
After saying this, under the gaze of Hiruzen Sarutobi, Uchiha Fugaku led Sakukaze and Kakashi directly out of the Hokage Office.
As they walked out of the Hokage Building, Kakashi let out a long sigh of relief.
Being young, it was inevitable that he would feel a bit nervous when facing the Hokage.
Uchiha Fugaku, seeing Kakashi's long sigh, spoke softly to him:
"Kakashi, adjust your mindset. With your talent, there will be many such opportunities in the future."
"You've been out for two days, so I won't take up any more of your time. Hurry back and rest."
Hearing Uchiha Fugaku's words, Kakashi nodded and responded:
"I understand, Captain Fugaku. Then I shall take my leave."
Sakukaze, seeing Kakashi leave, immediately wanted to bid farewell as well.
Unfortunately, before Sakukaze could even voice his farewell, Uchiha Fugaku interrupted his thoughts first.
"Sakukaze, I'll treat you to grilled meat in a moment. I have a rather personal question I'd like to ask you."
Hearing Uchiha Fugaku's words, a look of suspicion appeared on Sakukaze's face.
What was up with that fleeting blush on Uchiha Fugaku's face just now? Could this Uchiha Fugaku be planning to kill him to silence him?
That's not right; Kakashi clearly knew about Uchiha Fugaku's embarrassing incident too, so why only ask him?
Sakukaze had reason to suspect that Uchiha Fugaku wanted to harm him, though he also knew he was definitely overthinking it.
But other than that, Sakukaze really couldn't think of any personal matter Fugaku would need his help with.
Originally, Sakukaze wanted to refuse, but Uchiha Fugaku, seeing the suspicious look on Sakukaze's face, didn't give him a chance to speak further and grabbed Sakukaze, leaving the spot.
"Wait, Captain, let me clear my thoughts."
"First, my big brother found a girlfriend, so Captain, you want to ask me how my brother usually gets along with girls, right?"
In the private room of the grilled meat restaurant, Sakukaze put down his chopsticks. He raised an eyebrow and looked at Uchiha Fugaku with a rather amused expression.
Who would have thought, this Uchiha Fugaku looked so thick-browed and big-eyed, yet behind the scenes, he was actually asking a child how to get along with girls.
And even more unexpected, his own thick-browed and big-eyed big brother was actually dating behind his back.
Really, is there any justice left? As his own younger brother, he actually had to be told about this by someone else.
It seems it's time to go back and teach his big brother a lesson. Don't always treat him like a child!
Thinking of this, Uchiha Sakukaze's expression became a bit more sinister, making Uchiha Fugaku across from him feel a chill down his spine.
"Ahem, that's exactly it."
Clearing his throat, Uchiha Fugaku hurriedly answered.
He was afraid that if he delayed for a few more minutes, Sakukaze would start blackmailing him.
There was no help for it; Uchiha Sakukaze's expression was truly quite frightening.
At this moment, Uchiha Fugaku had already begun to regret coming to Sakukaze for advice.
Although Sakukaze was his subordinate, looking at him like this, it seemed he wasn't as good at keeping secrets as others.
Of course, Uchiha Fugaku was purely overthinking it.
Although he felt deep down that Uchiha Fugaku was a bit of a pervert, Sakukaze's attention had already shifted entirely to his big brother.
There was no help for it; his own big brother, with whom he had lived for six years, was actually hiding things from him, his younger brother. It was truly not acting like a son.
So, upon hearing Uchiha Fugaku's voice, Uchiha Sakukaze directly guaranteed:
"Don't worry, Captain Fugaku. I'll organize it when I get back and give it to you when we go on a mission tomorrow."
Hmm? You ask why Uchiha Sakukaze, who knew nothing, dared to make such a guarantee?
A joke. When it comes to dating girls, Sakukaze is a master. Although it's only theoretical, isn't that enough?
Just go back and put together some "Simp Quotes" or "Self-Cultivation of a Warm Man" for Uchiha Fugaku, wouldn't that work?
If it succeeds, then the method is feasible, and Uchiha Fugaku will owe Sakukaze a favor.
As for failure, then just harvest a wave of Uchiha Fugaku's resentment energy. This isn't a life-or-death matter, so what's there to argue about?
Anyway, no matter how you look at it, he, Uchiha Sakukaze, won't lose.
If he could change Uchiha Fugaku's personality and subsequently influence that unfilial son of his in the future, that would be even better.
However, Uchiha Fugaku didn't know any of this. After hearing Sakukaze's answer, Uchiha Fugaku, who had no idea that his image in Sakukaze's heart was nearly non-existent and that he was about to become a subject for a cross-cultural fusion experiment, said excitedly:
"That's great, then I'll trouble you, Sakukaze."
Sakukaze did have a conscience after all. Looking at Uchiha Fugaku's happy appearance, a flash of moral condemnation flickered across his conscience.
Then, and then there was no then.
He happily accepted Uchiha Fugaku's treat, and with Uchiha Fugaku's voluntary consent, Sakukaze's future dining expenses at this restaurant for several times would be charged to Uchiha Fugaku. ===== CHAPTER 18 =====
