Chapter 402

~8 min read 1,478 words

Reba curled up in Liu Bei's arms,

"Brother Bei, I'm worried about you."

Liu Bei put his arms around Reba's slender waist,

"Rest assured, I'm going to the continent of Westeros this time to stir up their waters."

"You must be careful, and carry out bloody suppression of those slave owners who have rebellious hearts! No need to be polite!"

"Yes!"

Liu Bei thought for a moment.

"The slave owners will not be content to lose their power just like that. You must pay special attention to the secret organization known as the Sons of the Harpy. Investigate them in secret, and once those slave owners get involved, wipe them all out for me."

Reba smiled.

"Captain, you're luring the snake out of its hole. How brilliant!"

Liu Bei then said to Song Yi,

"Send people to secretly acquire dragon glass. I have a great use for it."

"Dragon glass?"

"It's obsidian. Terrible zombies have appeared north of the Wall. If this stuff is made into weapons, it can destroy them."

Song Yi and Reba were stunned.

"Captain, you're truly amazing. You know everything!"

Liu Bei laughed.

"If I didn't have some skills, how could I be your captain? The greatest crisis on the continent of Westeros is those White Walkers beyond the Wall, and they are organized..."

The next day, Liu Bei took over a hundred skilled men and boarded a merchant ship for the continent of Westeros.

Long Ma announced to the outside world that the Khal was going to the grasslands for an inspection.

Liu Bei sailed to Pentos, resupplied, and continued westward, crossing the Narrow Sea to arrive at the mouth of Blackwater Bay.

The island not far away was Dragonstone, and the most conspicuous feature was Dragonstone Castle, built of black stone.

Dragonstone is not large, and its most valuable asset is the dragon glass on the island, though it has little value at this moment.

"Stannis Baratheon was defeated in the Battle of the Blackwater, and now only a few thousand men remain, entrenched on Dragonstone."

The merchants whispered among themselves.

Liu Bei knew this guy—Robert's second brother. Melisandre used magic to help him kill Renly, who was also the homosexual husband of Margaery and Robert's third brother.

After obtaining Renly's army, a high-spirited Stannis led his fleet to storm King's Landing, only to have most of his fleet burned by green wildfire, and then suffered a crushing defeat after a final surprise attack by Tywin, the father of the Imp!

At this time in King's Landing,

On the surface, Joffrey was in charge, but in reality, the finances and the army were both in Tywin's hands. It seemed only a matter of time before the Lion family replaced the Stag.

"The Lion family? Captain America chose a good family this time."

After all, Cersei's three children were all home-grown by the Lions and had nothing to do with Robert.

Liu Bei's identity this time was not a merchant, but a bankrupt baron from the Reach named Liu Cas.

This baron had traveled across the ocean to the eastern continent to make a living, where he married and had a child, but he did not escape the ravages of war. His whole family of three died in the flames of war, and Liu Bei happened to use his son's identity.

The Reach is the territory of the Tyrell family, which is Margaery's maiden home. Her father, Mace, the Duke of Highgarden, was mediocre, but her grandmother, the Queen of Thorns, was not someone to be trifled with.

The Tyrell family had always been loyal to the Targaryen family until King's Landing fell, at which point they turned to pledge loyalty to the Baratheon family. They were one of the allies that could be won over.

Margaery, who had been hastily married to the homosexual Renly and hadn't been queen for many days—and hadn't even been touched by a man—soon became a young widow.

Before she could collect her bewildered feelings, she was taken to King's Landing by her grandmother, the Queen of Thorns, to continue being a tool for family marriage alliances.

Tywin and the Tyrell family decided to form an alliance, and they did it twice over!

Margaery would marry Joffrey to become the new queen.

Cersei would marry the Knight of Flowers, Margaery's brother, becoming the wife of her own son Joffrey's brother-in-law!

Liu Bei couldn't help but sigh that Tywin knew how to play; this circle was truly chaotic!

"Iron-willed Margaery, flowing kings. Joffrey also seems to have been poisoned to death by the Queen of Thorns on the day of the wedding!"

King's Landing,

In the filthy slums,

Margaery of Highgarden stepped into the mud without hesitation, her skirt hem getting wet.

She was heading to an orphanage.

There were many children there who had lost their fathers in the previous defense of King's Landing and had become orphans.

Margaery would donate some gold dragons and food to improve her reputation.

The filthy environment here didn't make her feel uncomfortable; instead, it made her feel relaxed. Dealing with those nobles every day with fake smiles made her feel miserable from the bottom of her heart.

But there was no choice; as a noble daughter of the Tyrell family, she had to face these things.

Facing children, she didn't need to pretend, which was actually a way to relax.

Unfortunately,

Today didn't seem to be her lucky day.

Just as she walked into the slums, she was targeted. A dozen fierce-looking guys surrounded them and quickly killed the four guards Margaery had brought!

Margaery said calmly,

"I am the daughter of the Duke of Highgarden. You can have as many gold dragons as you want! But if you harm me, you won't get a single penny."

A tall, thin man with a stubbly beard and a scar on his face leered,

"So you're that little widow of Renly's. Not bad, haven't tried a man yet, have you? Hehe!"

Margaery's expression changed. This group didn't look like robbers; it was more likely they were sent by someone to kill her.

The tall, thin man signaled with his eyes,

"Grab her!"

Just then, a lazy voice came,

"Ahem, in broad daylight, forcibly snatching a young widow isn't a good habit!"

Margaery? Does everyone know she's a young widow now?

Everyone looked toward the sound. A man carrying a long sword stood there lazily, a smile on his face that made people feel like they were bathed in a spring breeze.

Margaery? She observed the man: tall and straight, refined features, sharp angles, sword-like eyebrows and star-like eyes, eyes shining with light!

"This man is so handsome!"

The scarred man saw it was just Liu Bei and breathed a sigh of relief.

"Kill this pretty boy for me! A hero saving a beauty? You're courting death!"

The six men brandished their long swords and charged at Liu Bei!

Liu Bei was faster than them.

With a *tseng* sound, he drew his sword, and the long sword in his hand danced like a flower!

Wherever he passed, the attackers clutched their throats, blood flowing from between their fingers!

The scarred man was shocked; he hadn't expected him to be an expert!

Liu Bei had already arrived at Margaery's side, looking down at her.

Her eyes were large and spirited like a deer's, charming within her purity, her long brown curly hair exuded sexiness, and her figure was top-notch!

Margaery... she also quickly made an assessment in her heart.

"Much more handsome than Renly. Looking at his eyes, he shouldn't like men. His eyes are sharp, his clothes are average, he should be a fallen noble..."

The scarred man shouted,

"Kid, why are you meddling in other people's business!"

Liu Bei smiled,

"This isn't meddling. I don't have a wife yet; maybe this young lady will offer herself to me in gratitude."

Margaery coughed. This handsome guy really dared to think! She was the future queen!

The scarred man waved his hand,

"All together, kill him!"

The remaining ten men brandished their blades and charged over!

Liu Bei held Margaery's waist with his left hand and struck swiftly with his right!

He stabbed one person to death with one sword, and instead of retreating, he advanced. The long sword in his hand danced like a butterfly among the charging crowd.

Soon, there were several more screams.

Several of the charging robbers were quickly killed by Liu Bei!

The scarred man was at the back. Seeing things were going badly, he quietly took out a crossbow from behind and fired a bolt at Margaery!

"Whoosh!"

Liu Bei hugged Margaery tightly in his arms, turned to dodge the bolt, and threw the long sword in his hand, pinning the scarred man firmly to the ground!

Margaery only felt pain in her chest; she had been bumped!
