Chapter 436

"To the left of Bowang Slope is Yu Mountain, and to the right is a forest called Anlin."

"Zhang Liao, you lead fifteen hundred troops to ambush at the foot of Yu Mountain. Let the main Cao army pass through Bowang Slope, and when fire starts in the south, attack the Cao army's rear and burn their grain and supplies!"

"Understood!"

"Zhang Fei, you lead fifteen hundred troops to ambush in the valley behind Anlin. When you see fire in the south, you can attack the chaotic Cao army!"

Zhang Fei glared at Zhuge Liang.

"Understood!"

"Xu Sheng, Lu Xun, you two lead eight hundred troops each, prepare flammable materials, and wait on both sides south of Bowang Slope. When the Cao army arrives, set the mountain on fire!"

"Understood!"

"General Huang, you must pretend to be defeated and lure Xia Hou Dun's army into the Bowang Slope gorge."

Everyone understood; this was a plan to lure the enemy deep!

Huang Zhong cupped his hands.

"Understood!"

"Gan Ning, you lead two thousand troops to support Huang Zhong. Again, you are only allowed to lose, not to win, and lure Xia Hou Dun into the gorge!"

"Understood!"

Zhuge Liang stood up tall.

"The rest of the generals, follow me and wait for the Cao army to fall into chaos, then pursue and kill them!"

"Understood!"

Xia Hou Dun led sixty thousand infantry and cavalry and arrived north of Bowang Slope.

The road at Bowang Slope was narrow, and the nearby forest was tall and the grass dense.

Li Dian frowned looking at the terrain, feeling suspicious. Just as he was about to warn him,

the sound of hoofbeats and battle cries came from afar.

An old general with a white beard roared,

"Huang Zhong of Nanyang is here! Xia Hou Dun, prepare to die!"

Xia Hou Dun:?

He was instantly furious.

"Liu Bei is too deceptive, actually sending an old guy with one foot in the grave as vanguard!"

He slapped his horse's belly and charged toward Huang Zhong.

"I'll kill you old man first to sacrifice my flag!"

Ten thousand of his troops rushed out to kill Huang Zhong's soldiers!

"Clang! Clang! Clang!"

Xia Hou Dun fought a few moves with Huang Zhong and felt the old man's strength was okay.

"Old man, you're not bad!"

Huang Zhong took a deep breath.

"I must behead you, blind Xia Hou, for my lord!"

Xia Hou Dun actually cared a lot about his image and hated it most when people called him blind Xia Hou. He was instantly enraged.

"Old man, shouldn't you be at home taking care of your grandchildren instead of coming out to die!"

"Die!"

Xia Hou Dun attacked fiercely for a few moves, feeling Huang Zhong's strength suddenly decrease significantly. Seeing him panting like an ox, he knew the old man's stamina was failing, so he attacked fiercely for several more moves. 0......

Huang Zhong seemed unable to hold on, forced Xia Hou Dun back with a burst of attacks,

then turned his horse around and ran toward the rear!

His soldiers hurriedly ran madly toward the rear as well.

Xia Hou Dun laughed loudly.

"Pursue! Kill them all for me!"

Not long after the pursuit,

Li Dian felt colder the further he went.

"General, this place is too easy to ambush! We must be careful!"

Xia Hou Dun was a bit suspicious, but before he could think for long,

Gan Ning arrived.

"Gan Xingba of Ba Commandery is here! Blind Xia Hou, prepare to die!"

Xia Hou Dun was truly angry.

"A water bandit dares to be arrogant! What kind of monsters did Liu Bei find? A village rustic, an ugly man, an old man, plus a water bandit?!"

Xia Hou Dun spurred his horse and charged toward Gan Ning.

The two fought for less than ten moves before he hurriedly turned his horse and ran!

Xia Hou Dun was even more triumphant.

"Lads, kill for me!"

"Mighty!"

"Kill!"

Xia Hou Dun was incredibly brave, defeating Huang Zhong and Gan Ning in succession. Although one was an old man and one was a water bandit, it didn't stop the soldiers' morale from soaring!

"Kill!"

The army followed Xia Hou Dun into Bowang Slope!

Li Dian couldn't stop them at all; he could only restrain his own troops to serve as rear support..
