Chapter 489

"My lord, we Nanzhong barbarians swear to be loyal to the death!"

Liu Bei nodded and patted his shoulder to show encouragement.

Liu Bei looked around again,

"As for the territories of those previous cave masters, let Dai Lai discuss it with everyone. I only have one requirement: treat the common people well."

Everyone was overjoyed,

"Thank you, Lord Xuande!"

Liu Bei also selected three thousand elite barbarian soldiers, and the other soldiers were either sent home or followed Dai Lai and the others.

Pang Tong and Fa Zheng looked at each other,

"Nanzhong is considered almost pacified."

"Report~!"

"My lord, Lu Kai of Yongchang has led eight thousand troops to help."

Liu Bei nodded,

"Good, I will go to welcome him personally!"

Lu Kai was exceptionally excited,

"Lord Xuande, I have come a step late; please forgive me."

Liu Bei smiled,

"Jiping is loyal and righteous. All of Yongchang rebelled, and only you insisted on resisting Yong Kai and Meng Huo. This time you even came to rescue personally; I don't have enough time to reward you."

Lu Kai was moved to tears,

He originally thought he would be besieged by Meng Huo and die, and Liu Zhang would definitely not come to save him. He didn't expect Lord Xuande to come and wipe out Meng Huo in two battles.

Liu Bei smiled again,

"I intend to appoint Jiping as Yongchang Administrator; are you willing?"

Lu Kai hurriedly cupped his hands and bowed deeply,

"Your subordinate thanks my lord for the promotion!"

Everyone knew it without saying,

Lu Kai was completely disappointed with Liu Zhang and naturally wanted to defect to Liu Bei.

"Good, today no one is allowed to sleep until they are drunk!"

Liu Bei pulled everyone to drink and eat meat.

Lu Kai indicated that Meng You had defected to Wutugu, and his thirty thousand Rattan Armor troops were very powerful and invulnerable to blades and spears.

Liu Bei looked at Miss Zhu Rong beside him,

"Everyone, I have the descendant of the Fire God Miss Zhu Rong; am I still afraid of his Rattan Armor soldiers?"

Everyone almost worshipped Liu Bei; it turned out Lord Xuande had already made a plan!

Liu Bei sat in the main camp,

Gao Shun, Zhang Fei, Gan Ning, and others led troops to ambush Wutugu, and Huang Zhong even beheaded Wutugu in the formation,

Zhang Fei also killed Meng You!

Liu Bei accepted eight thousand Rattan Armor soldiers, and his total military strength reached fifty thousand!

Meng Huo's entire circle of friends in Nanzhong was wiped out!

Nanzhong pacified!

Liu Bei settled everyone's sphere of influence and led his troops back to Wei County!
