Chapter 494

"Yes!"

"I will personally lead the cavalry to eat Leng Bao of Yuexi Commandery first."

"The entire army, whether marching or breaking a city, must not commit the slightest offense. Those who plunder the people or forcibly seize women will be killed without mercy!"

"Yes!"

Liu Bei's military orders were like mountains. Those cave masters originally didn't have very good military discipline, but they also restrained their subordinates for fear of being implicated.

With the Nanzhong area as a backing, even if Liu Bei fought a protracted war with Liu Zhang, he had sufficient grain supply.

The clouds of war shrouded the entire Yizhou,

The common people were originally very worried,

However,

They soon found that the worry seemed to be superfluous,

"Lord Xuande's great army does not commit the slightest offense; the military discipline is too good."

"Those Nanzhong barbarian soldiers don't even dare to grab things or be fierce to people!"

"Lord Xuande's great army also asks us to purchase things, and the price is even higher than the market price."

"I heard long ago that Lord Xuande is benevolent and righteous; I didn't expect him to be this benevolent and righteous, much stronger than Liu Zhang!"

Liu Bei's march this time also gained the hearts of the people.

Northern part of Yuexi Commandery,

Heavy rain poured down,

Leng Bao was leading soldiers to return to Guangdu at this time,

Liu Zhang's order was to temporarily abandon Yuexi Commandery and intercept Liu Bei at Guangdu.

He had to abandon the city and advance toward Guangdu,

Fortunately, intelligence showed that Liu Bei divided his troops into two routes, one to Jiangzhou and one along the Min River toward Chengdu,

He could still arrive at Guangdu to defend in advance.

Just at this time,

"Report~!"

"General, a large number of cavalry appeared less than ten miles behind our army, with a number of over five thousand!"

Leng Bao was shocked,

"Oh no, it's Liu Bei's elite cavalry. Quick, change the rear team to the front team and prepare to meet the enemy!"

"Boom!"

Liu Bei's cavalry came faster than imagined!

Leng Bao's great army hadn't organized its formation yet when it was scattered by Liu Bei leading his troops!

The soldiers ran wildly on the muddy road,

Leng Bao still wanted to resist, but was knocked off his horse by Wei Yan in one move and was instantly captured!

The troops he led were not elite. Encountering Liu Bei's battle-hardened elite personal guards in the open field, they naturally suffered a miserable defeat.

Except for the remnants who ran into the mountains, seven thousand of the ten thousand troops were captured.

Liu Bei looked at Leng Bao,

"Are you willing to surrender?"

Leng Bao was very straightforward,

"Lord Xuande, I am willing to surrender!"

Liu Bei helped him up,

"Good, General Leng abandoned darkness for light; I will definitely entrust you with important tasks."

Leng Bao smiled inwardly,

"Everyone says Liu Bei is full of wisdom; I am pretending to surrender, and he can't see it?"

The two were talking happily. Although Leng Bao admired Liu Bei, he was loyal to Liu Zhang in his heart,

"My lord, the Guanghan defending general Liu Gui is my subordinate, and we are close friends. I am willing to go to persuade him to surrender!"

Liu Bei was also very straightforward,

"That's fine. Leave your injured soldiers behind, and you can take the other four thousand people with you for safety!"

Leng Bao??

Lord Xuande is actually this benevolent; I am really...

He cupped his hands hard, and the loyalty he held in his heart almost broke.

"Your subordinate will definitely complete the task."

After Leng Bao went down,

Wei Yan said in a low voice, "My lord, this Leng Bao is probably faking surrender."
