Chapter 590

With a loud 'clang',

Sun Ben's body swayed; he didn't expect this Wei Yan's strength to be so great.

Wei Yan didn't care about that and outputted a burst of attacks on Sun Ben!

Sun Ben was still valiant and about the same as Xing Daorong, but he was no match for Wei Yan. After about thirty moves, Sun Ben was knocked off his horse by Wei Yan,

"Bind him!"

Sun Ben was captured, and Nanchang City was soon taken by Wei Yan and Taishi Ci!

Both of them were actually a bit haggard; the Yuan River road was difficult to walk, and after they came out of the mountains and launched a surprise attack on Yichun, they took a boat down the river until Nanchang City, without much rest.

Wei Yan began to reorganize the city defense of Nanchang City,

and Taishi Ci led elite troops to continue north, launching a surprise attack on the important stronghold of Chaisang by the Yangtze River!

Up to this point, the Yuzhang west of Peng Ze was basically controlled by Liu Bei!

The two prepared to deal with Sun Ce's counterattack while urgently reporting to Liu Bei!

Liu Bei was already on his way back to Changsha Commandery with his troops at this time.

Guiyang Commandery left Yan Yan and Yang Yi, and also had Bao Long and Yang Ying, preparing for the future south to Jiaozhou.

When Liu Bei arrived at Changsha Commandery and learned the news that Wei Yan and Taishi Ci had taken Nanchang City and Chaisang, he was overjoyed.

He joined forces with Huang Zhong and led sixty thousand troops to kill toward Jiangxia Commandery!

During this period, he also joined forces with the ten thousand barbarian soldiers of the Five Streams Barbarian King, Shamoke, called by Ma Liang.

Xia Kou,

Sun Ce was falling into self-denial,

"How could it be like this? The eared thief is too cunning!"

He didn't expect that he was fighting hard in the Xia Kou area, but his home was stolen by Liu Bei!

Zhou Yu was very self-reproachful,

"My Lord, this time it was my oversight; I was taken advantage of by Liu Bei."

"Liu Bei attacking Southern Jingzhou, building plank roads, and taking concubines were all to confuse us."

"He used our army's desire to take Xiangyang to set a trap!"

Sun Ce waved his hand,

"It's not your fault; I was also deceived. Gongjin, what should we do now?"

Zhou Yu was helpless, "My Lord, our army can only retreat, besiege Chaisang, and take back Nanchang City to protect Yuzhang first."

Sun Ce stood up,

"Huang Gai, Dong Xi, you two lead the warships to cover the retreat; I will lead the great army to set off overnight to retake Chaisang!"

"Understood!"

Zhou Yu's mind moved,

"My Lord, our army can do this..." ===== CHAPTER 591 =====
