Chapter 706
"Understood!"
Liu Bei thought for a moment.
"Slave owners won't be content to lose their power just like that. Pay special attention to the secret organization known as the Sons of the Harpy. Investigate in the shadows, and once those slave owners get involved, wipe them all out for me."
Reba smiled.
"Captain, you're luring the snake out of its hole. How brilliant!"
Liu Bei then said to Song Yi,
"Send people to secretly acquire dragon glass. I have great use for it."
"Dragon glass?"
"It's obsidian. Terrifying zombies have appeared north of the Wall. If this stuff is made into weapons, it can eliminate them."
Song Yi and Reba were stunned.
"Captain, you're truly amazing. You know everything!"
Liu Bei laughed.
"If I didn't have some skills, how could I be your captain? The greatest crisis on the continent of Westeros is those White Walkers beyond the Wall. They are actually organized..."
The next day, Liu Bei took over a hundred skilled men and boarded a merchant ship for the continent of Westeros.
The Mother of Dragons announced to the outside world that the Khal was heading to the grasslands for an inspection.
Liu Bei sailed to Pentos, resupplied, continued westward, crossed the Narrow Sea, and arrived at the mouth of Blackwater Bay.
The island not far away was Dragonstone, and the most conspicuous feature was the fortress of Dragonstone, cast from black stone.
The area of Dragonstone is not large, and its most valuable asset is the dragon glass on the island, though it has little value at this moment.
"Stannis Baratheon failed in the Battle of the Blackwater, and now only a few thousand men remain, entrenched on Dragonstone."
The merchants whispered among themselves.
Liu Bei knew this guy—Robert's second brother. Melisandre used magic to help him kill Renly, who was the homosexual husband of the little rose and Robert's third brother.
After obtaining Renly's army, a high-spirited Stannis led his fleet to storm King's Landing, only to have most of his fleet burned by green wildfire, and then he was finally ambushed by the father of the Imp, Tywin, returning in total defeat!
At this time in King's Landing,
On the surface, Joffrey was in charge, but in reality, the treasury and the army were both in Tywin's hands. The Lion family replacing the Stag seemed to be only a matter of time.
"The Lion family? Captain America chose a good family this time."
After all, Cersei's three children were all home-grown products of the Lion family and had nothing to do with Robert.
Liu Bei's identity this time was not a merchant, but a bankrupt baron from the Reach named Liu Cas.
This baron had traveled across the ocean to the Eastern Continent to make a living, married and had children there, but did not escape the reach of war. In one conflagration, his entire family of three died, and Liu Bei happened to use the identity of his son.
The Reach is the territory of the Tyrell family, which is the little rose's maternal home. Her father, the Highgarden Duke Mace, was mediocre, but her grandmother, the Wang Hou of Thorns, was not someone to be trifled with.
The Tyrell family had always been loyal to the Targaryen family until King's Landing fell, at which point they turned to pledge loyalty to the Baratheon family. They were one of the allies that could be courted.
Margaery, the little rose, who had been hastily married to the homosexual Renly and hadn't been queen for many days—and hadn't even been touched by a man—soon became a young widow.
Before she could even process her bewildered state of mind, she was taken to King's Landing by her grandmother, the Wang Hou of Thorns, to continue being a tool for family marriage alliances.
Tywin and the Tyrell family decided to form a marriage alliance, and they did two at once!
The little rose would marry Joffrey to become the new queen.
Cersei would marry the Knight of Flowers, who was the little rose's brother, becoming the wife of her own son Joffrey's brother-in-law!
Even Liu Bei had to sigh that Tywin knew how to play; the circle really was chaotic!
"The iron-willed little rose, the flowing water of kings. Joffrey also seems to have been poisoned to death by the Wang Hou of Thorns on the day of the wedding!"
King's Landing,
In the filthy and dilapidated slums,
The little rose of Highgarden stepped into the muddy water without a care, her skirt hem getting soaked.
She was heading to an orphanage.
There were many children there who had lost their fathers in the previous Battle of King's Landing and had become orphans.
The little rose would donate some gold dragons and food to boost her reputation.
The filthy environment here, far from making her feel uncomfortable, actually made her feel relaxed. Dealing with those nobles with fake smiles every day made her feel uncomfortable from the bottom of her heart.
But there was no help for it; as a noble daughter of the Tyrell family, she had to face these things.
Facing the children, she didn't need to pretend; it was a way to relax.
Unfortunately,
Today didn't seem to be her lucky day.
Just as she walked into the slums, she was targeted. A dozen fierce-looking guys surrounded her and quickly finished off the four guards the little rose had brought!
The little rose said calmly,
"I am the daughter of the Duke of Highgarden. You can have as many gold dragons as you want! But if you harm me, you won't get a single penny."
A scruffy, tall, thin man with a scar on his face said lecherously,
"So you're that little widow of Renly's. Not bad at all. Haven't tried a man yet, have you? Hehehe!"
The little rose's expression changed. This group didn't look like robbers; it was more likely they were sent by someone to kill her.
The tall, thin man signaled with his eyes,
"Grab her!"
Just then, a lazy voice came,
"Cough, cough. In broad daylight, forcibly snatching a little widow isn't a good habit!"
The little rose? Does everyone know she's a little widow now?
Everyone looked toward the source of the sound. A man carrying a long sword stood there lazily, a smile that felt like a spring breeze on his face.
The little rose? She observed the man: tall and straight, refined features, sharp angles, sword-like eyebrows and star-like eyes, eyes with a glint!
"This man is so handsome!"
The scarred face saw that it was just Liu Bei alone and breathed a sigh of relief.
"Kill this pretty boy for me! Hero saving the beauty? You're courting death!"
Six men brandished their long swords and charged at Liu Bei!
Liu Bei was faster than them.
With a *clink*, he drew his sword, and the long sword in his hand was danced into a flower!
Wherever he passed, the men who had come to kill him clutched their throats one after another, fresh blood flowing from between their fingers!
The scarred face was startled; he hadn't expected him to be an expert!
Liu Bei had already arrived at the little rose's side, looking down at her.
Large, spirited eyes like a deer, a mix of purity and charm, long brown curly hair exuding sexiness, and a figure that was top-tier!
The little rose... she also quickly made an assessment in her heart.
"Much more handsome than Renly. The way he looks at me suggests he shouldn't like men. His eyes are sharp, his clothes are average; he should be a fallen noble..."
The scarred face shouted,
"Kid, why are you meddling in other people's business!"
Liu Bei laughed.
"This isn't meddling. I don't have a wife yet; maybe this young lady will offer herself in marriage to repay the favor."
The little rose coughed. This handsome guy really dared to think! She was the future queen!
The scarred face waved his hand.
"All together, kill him!"
The remaining ten men brandished their swords and charged over!
Liu Bei held the little rose's waist with his left hand and struck out swiftly with his right!
He stabbed one man to death with a sword. Instead of retreating, he advanced. The long sword in his hand danced like a butterfly among the charging crowd.
Soon, there were several more screams.
Several of the charging robbers were quickly killed by Liu Bei!
The scarred face was at the very back. Seeing the situation was bad, he quietly took the crossbow from behind him and fired a bolt at the little rose!
"Whoosh!"
Liu Bei hugged the little rose tightly to his chest, turned to dodge the bolt, and threw the long sword in his hand, pinning the scarred face firmly to the ground!
The little rose only felt a pain in her chest; she had been bumped hard! ===== CHAPTER 707 =====
