Chapter 1020: Strategic Master, Xun You!【1】

After sending off the three brothers Zhang Zhi, Zhang Chang, and Zhang Meng, it was already night.

But Duan Yu still hadn't slept.

This time it took nearly half a month, from Hanyang Commandery all the way to Dunhuang Commandery.

Cleaning up the ten clans and eight families was just one purpose of this troop dispatch, but by no means all of it.

Regarding the future development strategy of the entire Liangzhou.

Opening up the Hexi Corridor, re-establishing contact with the Western Regions, and then doing import and export trade, this is the main purpose.

It is also an important plan for the future development of Liangzhou.

And the reason why it was so smooth to open up the Hexi Corridor this time is mainly because of Beigong Boyu.

If it weren't for a great battle at Xiutuze, the miscellaneous Hu tribes existing along the Hexi Corridor would have been enough for Duan Yu to clean up for a while.

Beigong Boyu gathered nearly 80,000 people and invested in this plan before and after.

However, the annihilation of these 80,000 people also gave Duan Yu convenience to open up the Hexi Corridor.

After the battle of Xiutuze, the Western Qiang miscellaneous Hu had been completely scared by Duan Yu.

Those who didn't hide and migrate had also fled.

Now the Dunhuang Cao clan has also been cleared.

Next, it is to manage the Western Regions.

At this time, in the hall of the county government, the banquet had been withdrawn.

Duan Yu, who was a little hungry, was holding a pottery bowl and drinking porridge in small sips, and several side dishes had been placed in front of him.

Sitting under Duan Yu, there were several people sitting in the hall.

Gai Xun, Li Ru, Cheng Yu, Xun You, and Xi Zhicai.

After drinking two sips of porridge, Duan Yu put down the pottery bowl, looked at the people and said: "The Dunhuang incident has subsided."

"Next, this Marquis is preparing to migrate 100,000 people to Dunhuang Commandery at the beginning of next year, and build a large transit station in Dunhuang Commandery where goods from other parts of Liangzhou can be transported here."

"Using the convenience of Dunhuang, transport the grain, silk, including salt, white paper, and products developed in the future produced in Liangzhou to here, and then sell them to the Western Regions."

"Then use the wealth of the Western Regions to enrich Liangzhou."

"What do you think about this."

Duan Yu said.

Several people looked at each other, Gai Xun was the first to bow and said: "Marquis, since the imperial court was weak, the contact with the Western Regions has been interrupted. In recent years, the situation in the Western Regions has become more and more complicated."

"It is easy to re-establish contact with the Western Regions, but it is difficult to manage the Western Regions."

"Although my home is in Guangzhi, very close to the Western Regions, in recent years, I know very little about the Western Regions."

Duan Yu nodded slightly after hearing this.

The Great Han's connection with the Western Regions began from the time of Emperor Wu of Han, when Li Guangli conquered Dayuan twice.

But during the alternation of Xin and Mang, due to the rebellion in the Han interior, plus the Western Qiang miscellaneous Hu, the Han's control over the Western Regions was no longer as it was in the Western Han Dynasty.

The complexity of the Western Regions is no less than that of the Great Han.

Dozens of countries, large and small, are divided into several regions, among which large and small countries are intertwined, sometimes annexing each other, and the intervention of the Northern Xiongnu makes the situation in the Western Regions very complicated.

Li Ru also expressed helplessness about this.

With their age, they know too little about the Western Regions.

And at this time, Xun You, who had not spoken, stood up.

"Marquis, regarding the Western Regions, this subordinate had already done some research before entering Liangzhou." Xun You spoke.

Huh?

Duan Yu was stunned.

Before entering Liang?

Duan Yu was surprised. ===== CHAPTER 1022 =====
