Chapter 495: The advancing Yuan Benchu, the change in mentality! 【2】

Dong dong!

Dong dong!

Dong dong!

Yuan Shao, with a tall stature, stood on the carriage and waved the drumsticks forcefully.

The dull drum beats resounded throughout the entire battlefield.

On both sides of the carriage, Yan Liang, Wen Chou, and Xu You and others watched the advance of Gao Shun and Qu Yi.

"Climbed the city, climbed the city!"

Seeing Gao Shun climb the city, Yan Liang, who was on the side, shouted excitedly.

Xu You, who was riding on a horse and wearing a gray robe, stroked his chin and said slowly: "Zi Yi is not only brave, but the generals under his command are also so fierce."

"These two are truly great generals!"

Yuan Shao took a moment to look at all the scaling ladders that had been set up on the city wall, and the Trapping Camp climbing the city like ants.

"Sure enough, there are no weak soldiers under a strong general," Xu You praised: "These two are not only brave, but also have strategies."

"If it weren't for showing weakness for the past five days, it would not be so easy to climb the city.

The Qiang defenders in Jincheng were careless because of these five days of showing weakness."

Xu You said while nodding gently, and then looked at Yan Liang and Wen Chou on the side.

Yan Liang and Wen Chou are brave, but lack strategy, so they can charge and trap the enemy, but they must never be entrusted with the commander's seal.

This Duan Yu... has only risen for more than half a year, how could he gather so many usable people around him.

He couldn't figure it out.

In terms of fame, Yuan Shao's fame is no weaker than Duan Yu's.

But looking at the talents around him, it is just much worse than Duan Yu's.

At this time, the soldiers had already replaced the tired Yuan Shao.

Yuan Shao, who wiped the sweat from his forehead, came to the side of Xu You and others, watching Gao Shun and Qu Yi attacking the city and praising them endlessly.

"Zi Yi's subordinates, there are really many fierce warriors," Yuan Shao praised: "Why are there not so many fierce warriors around me like Zi Yi."

Yan Liang and Wen Chou looked at Yuan Shao with grievance.

Xu You stroked his beard and said with narrowed eyes: "Does Benchu want to know the reason?"

Yuan Shao nodded immediately: "Of course I want to know, please teach me, Zi Yuan."

Xu You said confidently: "In terms of fame, Benchu is definitely not losing to Zi Yi, and is even better than Zi Yi, but Zi Yi has more talents around him than Benchu.

To say the reason, it is actually very simple."

"For these years, Benchu has been operating his reputation in Luoyang, but he has always been under the wings of the Situ."

The benefits naturally don't need to be said, but this is not all benefits, there are disadvantages."

"The disadvantage is that everyone treats Benchu as a young master who has not grown up under the Situ, not a master who can sit and lead one side!"

Listening to Xu You's words, Yuan Shao seemed to suddenly understand something.

"Benchu is looking at Zi Yi," Xu You said slowly: "From the beginning, from the time Zi Yi rose, he was remote and led one side. Although Zi Yi could clearly rely on his father-in-law Dong Zhuo and grow under Dong Zhuo's command, Zi Yi did not do so, but became an independent individual."

"In this way, although there are some disadvantages, it is convenient to gather talents."

"If Zi Yi had always been under Dong Zhuo's command, then everything he had would be given by Dong Zhuo, how could he have such independence today?"

Suddenly, Yuan Shao suddenly understood: "Zi Yuan means... I should remote and lead one side?" ===== CHAPTER 497 =====
