Chapter 648

East of Quliang City, in a private residence not far from the County Government.

Dozens of Taiping Dao believers were currently crowded in the courtyard.

Jia Dong, wearing a yellowish-brown short jacket and a yellow headscarf, was sitting in a corner of the courtyard.

Beside him was Hao Meng, dressed in similar attire.

"Proprietor..."

Hao Meng, sitting beside Jia Dong, turned his head to look at Jia Dong.

"We are just huddled here all day, unable to do anything."

"When will we be able to build merit like this?"

Hao Meng's mood was clearly somewhat low.

Previously, he had followed Jia Dong into the Taiping Dao, and Jia Dong had promised him that after building merit, he would go to Liangzhou and recommend him to Duan Yu.

But now, more than half a month had passed, and they had just been following the Taiping Dao, running around.

If they kept mixing like this, he would almost really think he was a rebel.

Also, since entering this Quliang City, they hadn't gone out once.

If this continued, Hao Meng didn't know when it would end.

If the imperial court's army came to suppress them one day, he didn't want to be truly killed as a rebel.
