Chapter 786

The morning light barely appeared, piercing through the last wisp of darkness as thick as ink, descending upon the mortal world.

Galloping steeds broke the tranquility of the morning.

In the three large camps outside Guangzong City, three groups of cavalry, totaling about six thousand, galloped out from the various opened camp gates.

They eventually converged in the direction north of Guangzong City into a winding black dragon.

The heavy sound of hooves was like a roar erupting from beneath the earth.

Scattered outside Guangzong City, the Huang Jin rebel soldiers who had started leaving the city since yesterday afternoon were startled by this roar and began to flee in all directions.

Protected by hundreds of personal guard cavalry, Lu Zhi led the troops at the very front of the six thousand iron cavalry.

Their target was aimed directly at Zhang Jiao's central army, which had left the city before nightfall yesterday.

The battle flag embroidered with the white character 'Han' danced in the wind, forming a black wave.

Because it was already night when Zhang Jiao's central army left Guangzong City yesterday,

Lu Zhi ordered to wait until dawn to launch the pursuit of Zhang Jiao.

The powerful cavalry formation composed of six thousand iron cavalry ignored the Huang Jin rebel soldiers on the escape route and headed straight for the location of Zhang Jiao's central army.

These Huang Jin rebel soldiers were nothing but small fry.

As long as Zhang Jiao died, these rebel soldiers would inevitably collapse and become lambs waiting to be slaughtered.

And while pursuing, Lu Zhi had already ordered the captains left behind in the three camps to lead troops to occupy Guangzong City.

They must absolutely not give the Huang Jin rebel soldiers a chance to retreat back.

East of Guangzong City.

The Qingshui River, which runs through Qinghe State, divides Qinghe State and Julu Commandery into two.

To pass through Qinghe State from Julu Commandery, one must cross the Qingshui River.

Otherwise, one must head north and take a detour through Anping State.
