Chapter 986

"As long as seeds are sown next year, you can harvest ten thousand shi of grain after autumn."

"Why doesn't My Lord issue an official document to give those fertile lands that were abandoned in various places to the local great clans, letting them farm next year?"

"In this way, you give those great clans enough benefits. Anyway, those refugees won't come back."

"In this way, if you ask those great clans for grain, will they still refuse?"

"Also, Jizhou currently has a serious shortage of officials, and you can also recommend them to the imperial court."

"Jizhou is currently in a state of waiting to be rebuilt, and the imperial court will surely agree to your recommendations for the sake of stabilizing Jizhou."

"If you start from these two points, not only can you solve the current problems in Jizhou, but you can also get the support of the local great clans and sit firmly in your current position. Why not do it?"

Yuan Shao nodded frequently as he listened.

"Good, good, good, good, good, good."

"Ziyuan is a great talent. With Ziyuan, why should I worry about not being able to govern a region like Ziyi?" Yuan Shao laughed heartily: "Just follow Ziyuan's strategy..."

"My Lord!"

"My Lord!"

Before Yuan Shao could finish his words, a call came from outside.

Yan Liang, wearing armor, walked toward Yuan Shao with big strides.

Yuan Shao and Xu You in the study looked outside at the same time.

Yan Liang, pressing the hilt of his sword at his waist with one hand, walked over quickly and knelt on one knee to salute.

"My Lord, this is intelligence just sent from Luoyang."

Yan Liang held the letter up with both hands and presented it to Yuan Shao.

The attendant at the side delivered the letter to Yuan Shao's hand.

Yuan Shao unfolded the letter and read it at a glance.

A moment later, Yuan Shao's eyes widened, his expression shocked.

"This..."

"This..."

"How is this possible!"

"This is absolutely impossible!"

Seeing Yuan Shao's expression, Xu You leaned forward with great curiosity.

"Ziyi... perished?"

The letter in Yuan Shao's hand fell to the ground.

Xu You, beside him, hurriedly bent down to pick it up and looked at the content on it.

Similar to Yuan Shao's performance, when he saw the content written on the letter, Xu You was also full of shock.

Duan Yu... dead?

How is it possible?

Who could kill Duan Yu?

"Someone, go to Luoyang immediately and confirm if this news is true!"

Just when Yuan Shao received the news of Duan Yu's death.

Cao Cao, far away in Yanzhou, Liu Bei in Xuzhou, and even Sun Jian, who was suppressing the rebellion with Zhu Jun in Jingzhou, all received the news of Duan Yu's death one after another.

Loved ones grieve, enemies rejoice.

Cao Cao also sent people to Liangzhou at the first opportunity to confirm the authenticity of this news.

Liu Bei and Sun Jian almost clapped their hands and cheered. ===== CHAPTER 988 =====
