Chapter 1403: Furious

Just as Yecheng was busy preparing for war, one morning, a messenger rushed into the city, holding an urgent secret report. Upon learning this, Liu Bei immediately gathered Gu Yi and the generals to discuss.

The secret report mentioned that Cao Cao had united with more forces, preparing to launch an unprecedented large-scale attack, with Yecheng as the direct target. Moreover, Cao Cao seemed to have mastered a new type of strategic weapon, which was said to be able to play a huge role on the battlefield.

Liu Bei informed everyone of the report's contents with a solemn expression, and the atmosphere became very tense for a while. Guan Yu glared and said fiercely: "That traitor Cao Cao has repeatedly invaded; this time he is even more arrogant. I am willing to lead troops to go on an expedition and fight him to the death!"

Zhang Fei also roared: "Yes, Big Brother! We cannot let Cao Cao look down on us anymore. This time we must give him a head-on blow!"

Zhao Yun appeared much calmer; he pondered for a moment and said: "This battle is no small matter; we must act cautiously. Since Cao Cao dares to invade with such great fanfare, he must have made preparations. We need to plan carefully and not underestimate the enemy."

Liu Bei nodded and turned to Gu Yi, asking: "Mr. Gu, what is your opinion?"

Although Gu Yi spoke unclearly, his eyes revealed a firm light. Through gestures and writing, he expressed his views: "This time Cao Cao has united with multiple forces, and his military strength must be huge. We should make full use of Yecheng's geographical advantages, set up ambushes and traps, and win with wisdom. At the same time, we need to strengthen the city's internal defenses to ensure nothing goes wrong." ===== CHAPTER 1404 =====
