Chapter 599: Sun Shiwan: Ruthless in destroying aristocratic families, I am the most vicious when dealing with them!

"Mr. Ju, what should we do next?"

Tadun and Zhang Yan were not fools.

The Xianbei extermination event, while shocking Yuan Shao and Ju Shou, also sounded an alarm in their hearts.

However, they were not people capable of great strategy or decision-making.

How to proceed next naturally had to be asked of the "resourceful" Ju Shou.

Seeing this, Ju Shou said:

"Gu Linzhi is coming aggressively."

"The news of the Xianbei extermination will likely spread throughout the north very soon."

"Our army's morale will inevitably be greatly reduced because of this."

"But... Gu Linzhi is not invincible."

"No matter how strong the combat power of the soldiers under his command is, as long as we temporarily avoid battle, he will have no way to deal with us."

"According to reports from scouts."

"Gu Linzhi only brought enough rations for the army to eat for three months on this expedition to Bingzhou."

"So far, nearly one-third of the grain and fodder has been consumed on the road."

"As long as we drag Gu Linzhi out for another two months, he will fall into a dilemma of having no grain to use."

Ju Shou's strategy, to put it bluntly, was to hold firm.

With the foundation of the Jizhou aristocratic families, there was naturally no shortage of grain and fodder in the short term.

Therefore, if they entered a state of "strategic stalemate," Gu Yi really wouldn't be able to do anything to the coalition army formed by Yuan Shao in the short term.

But there were some loopholes in what Ju Shou said.

This loophole was soon discovered by Zhang Yan, who pointed it out:

"Mr. Ju, what you said is indeed correct."

"Gu Linzhi's grain and fodder are not as plentiful as ours."

"But Gu Linzhi is not a stupid person."

"If the grain and fodder brought on the expedition are not enough, couldn't he raise more from Chang'an?"

Zhang Yan thought Ju Shou would be speechless.
