Chapter 108

Advance to attack, retreat to defend!

"It's nothing, don't worry about him, sit and wait for the news of the lord's victory, and then join forces with the lord to completely defeat the other party!"

Zhang Hong glanced at it and said disdainfully!

Zhang Chao of Guangling Commandery, although he has twenty-five thousand soldiers!

But ten thousand of them were taken by Zhang Chao by his side!

The remaining fifteen thousand soldiers are distributed in various counties to guard the territory!

Now the troops in Guangling Commandery are less than ten thousand!

It is precisely because of this that facing the attack of Cheng Yu's eight thousand soldiers, Zhang Hong does not dare to act rashly!

The two sides were deadlocked!

And in the military camp outside the city

"It's a pity, having great generals under his command but not daring to fight, the defeat is already decided!"

Cheng Yu's gaze looked at the city wall and shook his head in disappointment!

From the moment his army was stationed here and the other party gave up the attack!

This battle was already over!

"My lord, it depends on whether you can hold on!"

Glancing into the distance, a trace of worry appeared in Cheng Yu's eyes!

Meanwhile, in another part of Guangling Commandery

"Zilong, extra meal today, notify the soldiers in the army to eat early!"

Looking at the sky and the news just received!

In another two hours, Zhang Chao's troops will catch up!

Now it is definitely impossible to escape!

The only thing to do is to fight here!

Lin Yang had also exchanged for quite a few of the tier-four goods obtained from upgrading the marketplace in advance and put them into the army!

Now it's just right to take them out and let the soldiers have a full meal!

Zhao Yun, who received the order, left, and after a short while, a rich aroma of meat permeated the air!

Smelling the rich aroma of meat, for a time, even the old soldiers who had followed Lin Yang for a long time tightened their expressions!

"This, this meat aroma is too rich, what are we eating today!"

"The lord said extra meal today, it must be delicious!"

"Shh, let me tell you quietly, I saw a pile of meat taken out today, this is definitely a rich feast!"

"Haha, meat to eat again, today I want to eat meat until I'm full!"

"........"

Under the discussion of the soldiers, everyone couldn't help but look forward to it!

After a while, when everyone saw today's food, they were all stunned!

They saw pieces of meat placed in front of everyone, and there was also a bowl of rich soup made from mutton, as well as chicken leg rice, braised eggs, etc.!

Such a rich meal made everyone stunned!

Especially those newly joined soldiers, where had they seen such food!

Originally they thought having chicken leg rice to eat was good enough!

Now seeing these pieces of pork, and pieces of boiled mutton and mutton soup, everyone's eyes shone with light!

"Start eating!"

With a familiar shout, the soldiers excitedly lined up and began to taste this meal of delicacies!

The old soldiers who had followed Lin Yang for a long time didn't need words!

They knew!

Now there is a great army chasing from behind!

After this meal, they have to fight for their lives!

Lin Yang didn't make any speeches or mobilization!

The best response to the soldiers is this well-prepared meat food!

On the contrary, the newly joined recruits, eating pieces of meat and drinking rich mutton soup, had tears welling up in many of their eyes!

"Sob, sob, too delicious, this is simply a delicacy on earth!"

"The lord actually gives us this kind of meat to eat, this life of mine is the lord's!"

"That's right, isn't it just going to the battlefield to fight for my life, I'll do it!"

"Eating this kind of meat, even if I die, it's worth it!"

"I will not hesitate to go through fire and water for the lord!"

"........"

Eating the meat in their bowls, at this moment, the four thousand recruits all had their morale soaring!

They were originally disaster victims who were about to starve to death!

Lin Yang gave them something to eat and let them join the army, with no worries about food and drink!

Now the great army is attacking!

Lin Yang treats them like this again!

Many people had eyes full of fighting spirit and clenched their iron fists!

Lin Yang and Zhao Yun, who were standing not far away, watched this scene and nodded silently!

Although they didn't know how the combat power of this group was!

But at least the military morale was usable!

"My lord, please let the lord lead the disaster victims to go first, I am willing to stay behind to cover the retreat!"

Lin Yang was watching the crowd when Zhao Yun, who had hesitated for a long time, spoke!

He was originally a small soldier under Gongsun Zan!

It was Lin Yang who spent hundreds of gold to exchange for him!

And before Hulao Pass, he trusted him and let him fight Lu Bu, becoming famous in one fell swoop!

Lin Yang showed him the kindness of knowing him and had enough trust in him!

"Haha, Zilong, I am not a person who fears death, how can I abandon Zilong and leave!"

Letting Zhao Yun stay behind to cover the retreat is indeed the best choice!

But he is not Liu Daer!

And this is not a desperate situation!

Abandoning Zhao Yun to flee alone, this kind of thing, he Lin Yang cannot do!

"My lord, Zhang Chao is coming aggressively, I fear...."

"Zilong, say no more!"

Patting Zhao Yun on the shoulder, Lin Yang directly blocked Zhao Yun's subsequent words!

However!

Lin Yang still adopted Zhao Yun's suggestion!

Let the disaster victims go first!

He and the others stayed behind to cover the retreat!

Two thousand old soldiers, four thousand new soldiers!

Against Zhang Chao's ten thousand troops!

The outcome is still unknown!

One hour later

"Report, my lord, Zhang Chao's troops have caught up!"

Following the scout's report, on the plain in the distance, dust flew!

Lin Yang, leading six thousand soldiers, had long been in formation waiting!

"Haha, Lin Yang, you brat, see where you can escape today!"

The great army attacked, and Zhang Chao's figure stopped a thousand meters away!

Watching Lin Yang's figure stop here to wait for him, Zhang Chao laughed triumphantly!
