Chapter 115: Recruit me into the army, my father is the Separate Commandery Commandant of Guanglingcheng!

Two days later, Guangling County

"Report, the lord encountered an ambush and was heavily defeated by Lin Yang!"

On the city wall, hearing the news brought by the soldier, Zhang Hong's body went limp!

"What? How is that possible?!"

Zhang Chao had a full ten thousand troops in his hands!

Dealing with Lin Yang's two thousand soldiers!

How could he possibly lose?

Ten thousand against two thousand!

This was a massive advantage!

"My lord, the lord encountered Lin Yang's ambush!"

The soldier below then recounted the situation in full!

When he heard that Zhang Chao had encountered a sneak attack by Lin Yang's three thousand ambushers, Zhang Hong's expression changed immediately!

"Impossible, where did Lin Yang get those troops!"

The entire Jiangdu County only had that many troops!

Lin Yang himself led two thousand soldiers!

The remaining eight thousand soldiers were all outside this Guangling County!

Where did he...

In an instant, Zhang Hong reacted!

"Not good, I've been tricked!"

At this moment, Zhang Hong's gaze turned to the military camp outside Guangling County!

No wonder he had sensed something wrong ever since Cheng Yu arrived!

Why did the opponent only set up camp but have no intention of attacking at all!

They didn't even probe!

Before, Zhang Hong thought Cheng Yu knew the depth of the city and didn't dare to attack rashly!

Now he understood!

It wasn't that Cheng Yu didn't dare to attack!

He was clearly using the strategy of "openly repairing the plank road while secretly crossing the Chencang"!

"Ziyuan, send troops immediately, this Cheng Zhongde doesn't have many soldiers in his hands at all!"

At this moment, Zhang Hong hurriedly shouted to Zang Hong beside him!

Inside this Guangling County, there were a full ten thousand troops!

And according to the scouts' reports!

Three thousand soldiers had gone to support Lin Yang!

Which meant!

Cheng Zhongde only had a mere five thousand new recruits in his hands!

"Yes!"

Zang Hong, who was beside him, also reacted and quickly took the order to prepare the troops!

"Cheng Zhongde, I have fallen for your treacherous scheme!"

Clenching his iron fists, Zhang Hong looked at the camp outside with bloodshot eyes!

Just because he was held up by the opponent!

He hadn't been able to join the lord in a pincer attack on Lin Yang!

He hated it!

Almost at the same time as the commotion in the city, in the military camp on the other side

"My lord, there is commotion on the city wall, I fear the opponent is about to come out of the city to meet us in battle!"

Hearing the soldier's report, Cheng Yu's face showed no fear, but instead revealed joy!

"Haha, good, very good!" Laughing, Cheng Yu stood up slowly!

Commotion in the city!

This meant the opponent had already obtained intelligence that his camp was empty!

This also meant!

Lin Yang's side had already reunited with Li Gang and the others!

"Let's go, gather the troops, we're going out!"

With a wave of his hand, Cheng Yu also strode toward the outside!

Lin Yang was safe!

Then he no longer needed to hide or hold back!

Half a day later, outside Guangling County

"Cheng Zhongde, you treacherous thief!"

Under Guangling City, the eight-thousand-strong army was arrayed here. The leader, Zhang Hong, looked at Cheng Yu who had walked out and cursed directly!

If it weren't for falling for the opponent's treacherous scheme!

Lin Yang would have already died in a foreign land by now!

"Hehe, you petty people, plotting against my lord, yet you dare to speak such wild words!"

In front of the two armies, Cheng Yu responded calmly, without the slightest bit of anger!

Even as he spoke, he had people bring out several figures!

"Zhang Wenlu, I advise you to surrender to my lord early, so as not to bring disaster upon your relatives in the clan!"
