Chapter 131

To rush out with the army before the grain had even been harvested—the supply would absolutely run into problems!

"My lord, this is good news for us!"

Zang Hong, standing to the side, revealed a smile as he watched Lin Yang arrive at this time!

The grain was not ready!

This was great news for them!

As long as they waited for the gap in the other's grain supply, they could win in a single battle!

"Hmm, hmm!"

Zhang Chao nodded; although he felt something was not right, Zang Hong was not wrong!

Once the other's grain supply failed to keep up!

If he launched an attack, he would definitely be able to take them!

But, could Lin Yang be this stupid?

The man who was able to defeat him could absolutely not be!

Just as Zhang Chao was suspicious, Lin Yang's army arrived and set up camp several kilometers outside Guanglingcheng!

With soldiers on guard on the perimeter, Zhang Chao did not rashly send troops to probe!

Under the cover of night, in Guanglingcheng.

"Wenlu, even if Lin Yang doesn't understand military affairs, Cheng Yu under his command does not seem like a man who doesn't!"

Zhang Chao could not sleep and was discussing it with Zhang Hong in the middle of the night!

Even if Lin Yang were stupid!

It was impossible for him to fight him without sufficient grain!

"My lord, I truly cannot guess this!"

Yes, Zhang Hong could not guess it!

He could not understand it even if he died!

With the rice not yet harvested, where did Lin Yang get so much grain to supply the army!

And how could he know that the supply for Lin Yang's army relied entirely on meat, rice, and so on exchanged through reputation!

Those planted rice crops were still undergoing their final harvest!

Outside Guanglingcheng, in the military camp.

"My lord, now that we have taken them by surprise, Zhang Chao certainly did not expect us to arrive!"

In the main tent, Zhao Yun, Dian Wei, Taishi Ci, and others were all present!

Looking at the three great generals he had brought out this time, Lin Yang was quite excited!

This time was different from the last time he dealt with Zhang Chao!

This was the first time he had led an army in battle in a true sense!

The only pity was!

There were no civil officials under his command!

The only one, Cheng Yu, needed to sit in the rear to maintain the subsequent grain supply!

The meat exchanged from the reputation marketplace could last a long time!

But Lin Yang still needed the harvested rice and grain!

Six thousand warhorses, plus some auxiliary grains—what he brought this time was not enough!

Especially the six thousand warhorses, which required the grain supply for over thirty thousand people!

Without subsequent grain, the cavalry would be useless!

"Next, we will follow Mr. Zhongde's plan and lure the enemy out of the city first!"

Lin Yang looked at the current map of Guangling Commandery!

Guangling Commandery in the late Eastern Han Dynasty had four counties!

Besides Guangling City and Jiangdu County, there were also Gaoyou and Pingan counties!

It was the autumn harvest season!

According to Cheng Yu's deduction, the grain from these two counties should be mostly harvested and being transported to Guanglingcheng!

"Ziyi, tomorrow you lead one thousand cavalry and four thousand soldiers, bypass Guangling City, and head straight for Gaoyou and Pingan!"

He gave the order to Taishi Ci below!

"Understood!"

Taishi Ci bowed and stood to the side!

Now that the great army had arrived, Lin Yang had brought twenty thousand troops. Besides Zhao Yun's fifteen hundred Iron Pagodas, the remaining cavalry were assigned to Taishi Ziyi to be responsible for mobility!

Lin Yang would not bring out Zhao Yun's fifteen hundred Iron Pagodas for the time being!

This was the key to deciding the outcome in one strike!

"My lord, what if Zhang Chao does not lead his troops out?"

Zhao Yun, to the side, was also slightly worried!

What he worried about was not Zhang Chao leading his troops out!

But that Zhang Chao would not dare to come out!

Because the Iron Pagodas wore heavy armor, their mobility was relatively poor!

In a siege battle like this, they were even less capable of participating!

If Zhang Chao did not come out and relied on the walls of Guanglingcheng, they would suffer heavy casualties even if they took it!

"That is why Zhongde's suggestion is to have Ziyi ambush the grain of the two counties!"

"Once the grain of the two counties is cut off, Zhang Chao will inevitably be anxious!"

Cheng Yu had already thought of the plan before arriving!

Lin Yang had gained an understanding of the intelligence of the top strategists of the Three Kingdoms!

"In this way, once Zhang Chao's army comes out, this battle can be won in one go!"

He slapped his hand on the map; this battle depended on how Zhang Chao chose!

The night passed without incident. The next day, on the walls of Guanglingcheng.

"My lord, something is wrong. This Lin Yang hasn't even sent anyone to challenge us!"

Zhang Hong looked at the opposing camp, his brows knitting slightly!

When two armies face each other, why were they so quiet after setting up camp? What were they doing?

"My lord, how about I lead five thousand soldiers to go and see!" Zang Hong said!

He, Zang Hong, was not afraid of this Lin Yang!

· ······Requesting flowers·· ·

The other only had twenty thousand troops!

While there were thirty thousand in Guanglingcheng!

In a head-on confrontation, he did not believe his troops would lose!

"No rush, let's watch a bit more!"

Having suffered a great loss from the threaded steel last time, Zhang Chao had become cautious this time!

No matter how strong that threaded steel, which was like a divine weapon, was!

It could not be used during a siege!

He wanted to rely more on the city walls to first inflict damage on Lin Yang's soldiers!

"Boom... Boom..."

Just as Zhang Chao remained unmoved, one thousand cavalrymen rode out from Lin Yang's camp, with four thousand soldiers following closely behind, kicking up clouds of dust!

Watching the cavalry fly out of the camp, Zhang Hong's expression on the city wall changed instantly!

"My lord, no, this Lin Yang has cavalry!"

Zhang Hong exclaimed; he had not expected!

That there would be cavalry in Lin Yang's army!

With over a thousand cavalry galloping, they directly bypassed Guanglingcheng and headed straight for the side of the city!

Such an action left Zhang Chao a bit confused!

"Bad, my lord, it's the grain!"

In an instant, Zhang Hong reacted!
