Chapter 142

At this moment, Cai Yong was boiling tea and chatting in the tea room with two scholars!

The two sitting below Cai Yong, one looked to be only twenty-something, with an ordinary appearance!

While the other was in his thirties, steady and composed, listening quietly to the side!

"Haha, just an old bag of bones, I'm fine!"

Cai Yong laughed lightly, then his gaze turned to the young disciple below him!

"Zhongxuan, I heard you went to Jingzhou to study, how did it go?"

Cai Yong asked tentatively, and saw the young scholar below smile bitterly!

"Teacher, let's not mention that!"

The young scholar was named Wang Can, a disciple of Cai Yong!

He was born of a noble family, at least the great-grandson of Grand Marshal Wang Gong and the grandson of Minister of Works Wang Chang!

He had originally wanted to join Liu Biao of Jingzhou!

But Liu Biao judged people by their appearance and did not give him an important position, so he simply resigned and returned!

"Alas, the situation in the world is unstable now. If Zhongxuan wants to display your talent, I can recommend a place for you!"

With a sigh, Cai Yong also looked at his disciple!

He could be considered a well-learned scholar!

It was a pity to waste his talent!

"Oh, Teacher, where are you recommending me to go?"

Wang Can's expression was stunned, then he asked!

The middle-aged scholar to the side was silent, lost in thought!

"Hehe, what do you think of this Guangling Commandery!" He stroked his beard, Cai Yong laughed lightly, then added, "This Administrator of Guangling Commandery, Lin Ziyuan, is your junior fellow apprentice!"

"As his senior fellow apprentice, how can you not help him a little!"

Hearing Cai Yong recommend him to serve in Guangling Commandery, Wang Can immediately understood!

No wonder Teacher wrote to him to come to Guangling Commandery!

So that was the intention!

However!

Recalling the scenes along the way, the people in Guangling Commandery were living in peace and contentment!

That Lin Ziyuan seemed to have some means!

Now that he had even defeated Zhang Chao of Guangling Commandery and ruled a commandery, it wouldn't be bad to join him!

"Since Teacher says so, Zhongxuan is willing to follow Teacher's arrangements!"

He had wanted to enter the world, and since Lin Ziyuan was his junior fellow apprentice, he might as well stay here and perhaps achieve something!

At least with his teacher here, would he not be valued?

"Haha, Zhongxuan, rest assured, Ziyuan is just lacking great talents like you!"

Seeing Wang Can agree, Cai Yong was very gratified, then his gaze turned to the middle-aged scholar to the side!

"Yuantan, I heard you governed Qu'e quite well!"

As soon as Cai Yong spoke, Gu Yong to the side smiled bitterly in his heart!

Great!

It seemed he wasn't going to let him go!

However!

He was currently the Magistrate of Qu'e, and it wouldn't be easy to make him join Lin Yang!

And!

His Gu family was a noble family of Jiangdong!

It was fundamentally different from Wang Can!

"Teacher, you overpraise me, I am just governing a small place!"

Gu Yong bowed, but had no intention of joining!

However, Cai Yong seemed to have seen through his thoughts long ago and nodded silently!

"Hmm, governing a county can indeed temper oneself!"

He said slowly, Cai Yong was unhurried and continued to add!

"However, staying in a county forever makes it hard to find a way out!"

The calm words hit exactly on Gu Yong's heart!

The Gu family was one of the four great families of Jiangdong!

Being a mere county magistrate was indeed not enough to look at!

But the forces in Jiangdong were intertwined, and there were already warlords above, so it was hard for Gu Yong to rise!

"Yuantan, what do you think of the position of Merit Officer of a commandery?"

Seeing Gu Yong silent, Cai Yong also threw out his trump card!

Having stayed with Lin Yang for so long!

He knew exactly what kind of people Lin Yang lacked!

Apart from one Cheng Yu, Cheng Zhongde!

There were no other scholars!

Otherwise!

He wouldn't have written to his two disciples to come over!

"Merit Officer?!"

Hearing this position, Gu Yong was moved!

Yes!

He was truly moved!

A commandery Merit Officer could be said to be the most important position after the Commandery Chancellor!

In one step, he stepped into the core circle of a commandery!

Was Lin Ziyuan so willing?

For a time, Gu Yong's gaze turned to Cai Yong before him!

With his teacher speaking like this, he must be full of confidence!

"Teacher's words are very true!"

After hesitating, Gu Yong made up his mind and bowed!

Having been a county magistrate for so long, with the opportunity right before him, he had to grasp it!

"Haha, Yuantan, rest assured, leave this matter to me!"

Seeing Gu Yong agree, Cai Yong laughed!

And just then, at the doorway, a servant came in to report that Lin Yang had arrived!

"Let him in!"

Hearing the main person had arrived, Cai Yong knew Lin Yang's character and said directly!

Wang Can and Gu Yong, sitting to the side, also looked outside curiously, wanting to see this future lord of theirs!

"Teacher!"

In a short while, Lin Yang, who looked handsome and was in his thirties, walked in and bowed respectfully!

"Hmm, sit down!"

Cai Yong was actually very satisfied with this last disciple of his!

Although the other was not material for studying literature!

But Cai Yong could see!

The other had the heart to contend for the world!

If it were earlier years, Cai Yong would never have paid attention to such a person!

But having experienced Dong Zhuo and the chaotic world!

Cai Yong also understood!

Only military force could protect one's family!

He didn't care about himself, but he had to care about his daughter!
