Chapter 167

But they were deadlocked, and it would be impossible to determine the winner in a short while!

This was extremely terrifying!

The soldiers in Lin Yang's hands had been trained for less than a year!

The ten thousand soldiers fighting at this moment only had four thousand Threaded-Steel soldiers!

The remaining six thousand soldiers were not elites!

What they were paying with was ten thousand Danyang elites!

And they only fought to a draw?

It seemed that they were the ones losing out!

Zhao Yu's heart became increasingly wary of Lin Yang!

In Lin Yang's center army, Cheng Yu and Lin Yang looked at Cao Bao's center and rear armies that had not yet moved, and for a time, they also frowned!

This great battle was different from the battle under Guangling City!

This kind of large-scale war!

Often tests the layout and coordination of the entire army!

One wouldn't let the soldiers rush up all at once; that would be seeking death!

"My lord, Cao Bao's center and rear armies have not moved, and the five thousand cavalry under his command have not been seen either!"

Cheng Yu took a look at the opponent's Cao Bao army formation and reminded Lin Yang!

Now, the only thing Cao Bao had sent out was the Danyang elite at the very front!

The remaining five thousand cavalry, he didn't know if Cao Bao had hidden them in the army or was waiting for an opportunity in Huaiyin City!

"Zhongde, these Danyang soldiers are indeed rare elites!"

At this moment, the opponent's cavalry was unknown, and the center and rear armies had not moved!

Yet he couldn't use Zhao Yun's Iron Pagoda!

The heavy-armored Iron Pagoda lacked endurance and must charge the formation in one go, causing the opponent's entire army to collapse!

Therefore, it must be used at the most critical moment!

And before that, he had to find a way to lure out those five thousand cavalry!

Only then would it be convenient for the Iron Pagoda to act!

Otherwise, with light cavalry restraining them on the side, the Iron Pagoda wouldn't be able to pick up speed!

"My lord, are you thinking of forcibly eating these Danyang soldiers? Thereby luring Cao Bao to use his five thousand cavalry?"

With one sentence from Lin Yang, Cheng Yu understood Lin Yang's thoughts!

He glanced at Seeing Dian Wei's vanguard battlefield!

Indeed!

These ten thousand Danyang soldiers were indeed elites!

Being able to withstand Seeing Dian Wei and the four thousand Threaded-Steel soldiers!

Was definitely rare!

"My lord, although this strategy is feasible, once it is set in motion, the flanks of our center army will have no protection!"

"Zhongde, I know, but opportunities must not be missed!"

Since the strategy was feasible, Lin Yang could only take the risk at this moment!

The opponent's cavalry was not moving!

This battle would have to be dragged out!

And once it was dragged out, the strength of Seeing Dian Wei and the others would be greatly discounted!

Although the iron-armored Threaded-Steel Army was strong!

They were covered in heavy armor!

Unlike the fish-scale armor of the Danyang soldiers!

Fighting in heavy armor, Seeing Dian Wei and the others couldn't fight a protracted war!

If they really dragged it out like this, Seeing Dian Wei and the others would only have a path of defeat and death!

Therefore!

They had to take advantage of the peak combat power of Seeing Dian Wei and the others to defeat the Danyang soldiers in one fell swoop!

"Pass the order, let Taishi Ziyi take action, lead the troops, and attack the Danyang soldiers from the flank!"

The Danyang soldiers were the elites under Tao Qian!

Cao Bao had brought a total of twenty thousand Danyang elites!

Lin Yang didn't believe!

Cao Bao would dare to watch these ten thousand Danyang elites suffer heavy losses!

If he really lost Tao Qian's foundation, Cao Bao wouldn't be able to explain it when he went back!

Almost at the same time the order was issued, Taishi Ci, who was on the flanks of the center army, also received the order!

Glancing at the position of the center army, Taishi Ci also took the order and left!

Although he was also worried about the safety of the center army!

But the military order had arrived!

He didn't need to think about other things!

"Soldiers, follow me and charge!"

Waving his long spear, the next moment, Taishi Ziyi's one thousand cavalry rushed out first! Behind him, nine thousand soldiers swarmed and quickly charged toward the vanguard battlefield!

Following Taishi Ci's action, Cao Bao and the others in front of the army formation also saw this scene!

"Hm? The troops on the flanks have moved?"

Zhao Yu saw the troops on the flanks of Lin Yang's center army move and felt a trace of surprise!

At this time, it shouldn't be the turn for the flank troops to act yet!

Having lost the protection of the flank troops, Lin Yang's twenty thousand center army was completely exposed!

"Hmph, this Lin Yang wants to eat my ten thousand Danyang elites!" With a cold shout, cold light flashed in Cao Bao's eyes at this moment!

Looking at Taishi Ci's direction, it was clearly to strike his Danyang elites from the side!

Wanting to severely damage his Danyang elites before his great army moved!

"Zhao Yu, from now on, you sit in the center army and command; I will personally lead the cavalry to charge!"

Now the flanks of Lin Yang's center army were completely wide open!

Without the buffer and obstruction of Taishi Ci's troops!

The twenty thousand great army was completely exposed to the vision of the cavalry!

If not now, when!

Completely handing over the command in his hands to Zhao Yu, the next moment, Cao Bao ordered his soldiers to prepare their horses for battle!

"Everyone, follow me and charge, behead Lin Yang!"

With Cao Bao's call, the next moment, the five thousand cavalry that had been hidden in the center army rushed out quickly from the army!

As the cavalry charged, in an instant, the entire earth shook violently!

"Boom... boom... boom..."

Five thousand cavalry charged; everyone on the entire battlefield felt that impact!

"Do not hurt my lord!"

Seeing Dian Wei, who was commanding the heavy-armored Threaded-Steel Army, shouted loudly, waving the threaded steel in his hand, and whipped the Danyang soldiers in front of him, sending them flying!

Then, leading a group of soldiers, he wanted to rush out of the army formation!

But the Danyang soldiers all around were elites under Tao Qian, brave and not afraid of death, blocking them tightly!

Taishi Ci, who had rushed out leading the cavalry, narrowed his eyes and frowned as he watched this scene, but hesitated for a moment!

"General, the opponent's cavalry has moved; aren't we going back to reinforce?"

Now that they had led the army out, the flanks of the center army were wide open!

Once these five thousand cavalry rushed in, the consequences would be unimaginable!

"My lord has no order; we continue to move forward!"

Glancing at his personal guards, Taishi Ci continued to whip his horse and head toward the Danyang soldiers in the vanguard!

Since his lord had let him move, there must be a strategy to deal with it!

His, Taishi Ci's, goal was to swallow these Danyang elites at this moment!
