Chapter 191

Xuzhou, Xiapi Commandery, Ling County!

"The army is moving forward, and in two more days, we can reach Huaiyin!"

Sitting in the county office of Ling County, Sun Guan, who was beside Zang Ba, reported!

This time!

Tao Qian had paid a great price to get Zang Ba to take action!

Although their Taishan Army was under Tao Qian!

But ever since the Yellow Turban Rebellion in Xuzhou was quelled, they had been suppressed by Tao Qian!

Now wanting them to take action, naturally, he had to provide enough grain and money!

"Hmm, let the army rest, tomorrow the army will set out and reach Huaiyin directly!"

Zang Ba nodded; they had been resting in Ling County for three days, and it was about time to continue!

Anyway, Tao Qian asked them to support Huaiyin!

And didn't set a deadline!

And!

There were twenty thousand soldiers in Huaiyincheng, and Lin Yang wanting to break Huaiyincheng would not be an easy task!

"Report, my lord, we found our army's defeated soldiers ahead!"

Just then, outside the county office, a soldier rushed over to report!

Hearing that there were defeated soldiers from Tao Qian's troops, the expressions of Zang Ba and Sun Guan tightened!

"Go, go to the city wall!"

Saying this, Zang Ba rose and strode outside!

Half a day later, on the city wall of Ling County!

"May I ask if General Zang Ba is in the city? I am Ren Hao, a lieutenant under Lord Zhao Yu!"

Below the city wall of Ling County, Ren Hao, who led ten thousand defeated soldiers, shouted below the city wall!

In an instant!

Hearing that the other party was a soldier under Zhao Yu, Zang Ba's face became extremely ugly!

A lieutenant under Zhao Yu!

Appearing here!

What did this mean?!

"My lord, the situation is a bit wrong!"

Sun Guan to the side also thought of a possibility!

It's just!

How long had it been, less than half a month!

Zhao Yu lost Huaiyincheng?

Defending the city with twenty thousand soldiers!

And could be broken by Lin Yang's thirty thousand army?

"Lower the basket, pull him up!"

Zang Ba's face was iron-blue, he glanced at Ren Hao below, and had people lower the bamboo basket!

After a short while, Ren Hao's figure was pulled up!

"Tell me, what happened to Huaiyincheng?"

Pulling Ren Hao over, Zang Ba's expression was sharp at this moment, wishing he could swallow the person in front of him!

"General Zang Ba, Huaiyincheng has been broken!" Tears welled up in his eyes, and Ren Hao continued to add, "Lord Zhao Yu fought to the death to report to my lord, and died in battle!"

Hearing such words, for a moment, Zang Ba, Sun Guan, and the others all fell silent!

Zhao Yu actually died?

Tao Qian had a total of two military commanders, Cao Bao and Zhao Yu!

Now both had died in battle!

What else was there to fight for?

"General Zang Ba, please give us some grain, we are going back to Xuzhou to report to my lord!"

Lieutenant Ren Hao pleaded!

He didn't dare to clash with Lin Yang's army anymore!

Ever since the Huaiyin city gate was broken, he had hurriedly led five thousand Danyang soldiers to retreat!

Along the way, he gathered some surrendered soldiers to make up this army of ten thousand!

It's just!

In the defeat, he didn't have grain supplies!

He could only come to Ling County to find Zang Ba for support!

The remaining soldiers were all Tao Qian's main elites!

No matter what, he had to bring them back!

For a moment, seeing the other party like this, Zang Ba's heart also developed strange thoughts!

"You have fled all the way here, it has been hard for you!"

"Rest here for a night, and leave tomorrow!"

Sun Guan to the side said, and took Ren Hao down!

Zang Ba glanced at the ten thousand defeated soldiers outside, and then glanced at the direction of Huaiyincheng!

Huaiyincheng was broken, and now the gateway to Xuzhou was wide open!

Whether he should fight Lin Yang with his thirty thousand Taishan Army had become a headache for Zang Ba!

Unlike other soldiers under Tao Qian!

Zang Ba's thirty thousand Taishan Army were not actually under Tao Qian's control!

In this situation!

Zang Ba wouldn't care about Tao Qian's life or death!

What he had to think about was himself!

Under the cover of night, in the county office of Ling County!

"My lord, what should we do next?"

Zang Ba's four generals, Sun Guan, Yin Li, etc., were all here!

Sun Guan, who knew about the defeat of Huaiyincheng, looked at Zang Ba with worry!

Now Huaiyincheng was defeated!

If they wanted to continue to resist Lin Yang, they could only retreat!

The city wall of Ling County couldn't stop Lin Yang's army!

"My lord, if you ask me, we might as well return to Kaiyang directly," Chang Ba said. "This is the battle between Tao Qian and Lin Yang, it has nothing to do with us!"

Under Tao Qian in Xuzhou, there were always factions!

Tao Qian's own troops, and Tao Qian's trusted troops in the three commanderies!

These were what Tao Qian could mobilize!

And their Taishan Army didn't belong to them!

Ever since they were suppressed, they had been unhappy with Tao Qian for a long time!

Now in this great battle, they might as well return to Kaiyang!

Sit on the mountain and watch the tigers fight!

If both were defeated, they would act accordingly!

If Lin Yang finally won!

They would wait for Lin Yang to come and recruit them!

Chang Ba's words were spoken, and the few people in the field were all a bit moved!

That's right!

They didn't need to sell their lives for Tao Qian!

"Although that is the case, Governor Tao ultimately gave us grain!"

Zang Ba, sitting above, looked at his group of people, and was a bit helpless!
