Chapter 258

And on Yuan Gonglu's side, because there were fewer warhorses, they had not yet acquired them!

At this time, facing Zhao Yun's Iron Pagodas, Yan Xiang truly felt that there was not much chance of winning!

"Iron Pagodas!"

Gritting his teeth, Yuan Gonglu naturally had also heard of the name of the Iron Pagodas!

The reason why his sixty thousand troops were trapped here!

Was all because Zhao Yun on the opposite side had the Iron Pagodas, this great killer!

Otherwise!

Why would he be so cautious!

"Hmph, although he has the Iron Pagodas, my Great Axe Warriors are specialized in breaking heavy armor!"

With a cold shout, Yuan Gonglu spoke with dissatisfaction!

The Iron Pagodas had been famous for nearly a year!

Lin Yang was developing, and they were not without progress!

In Youzhou and Bingzhou, where there were many cavalry, Yuan Benchou and Gongsun Bogui were also making Iron Pagodas!

And he, Yuan Gonglu, although he did not have so many high-quality warhorses!

But he could make heavy armored axe soldiers!

Men and horses armored were not invincible!

Heavy weapons break iron armor!

This was not just talk!

Especially under the charge of cavalry, the speed was fast enough!

As long as the heavy weapon hits, no matter how thick the armor is!

It would also be shaken to the point where the internal organs were shattered!

Therefore!

Yuan Gonglu specially selected two thousand people with amazing strength from the entire army, equipped them with heavy armor, and also matched them with special giant axes!

As long as the Iron Pagodas dared to charge, with the giant axes swinging, even if it was a one-for-one trade, he would beat the Iron Pagodas into serious injuries!

· ······Begging for flowers·· ·

"My lord, why bother!"

Those two thousand giant axe soldiers were all elites in Yuan Gonglu's army!

These heavy armored giant axe soldiers, as long as they were not facing the Iron Pagodas!

Facing ordinary military formations, they only needed one round of axe strikes to directly chisel through the opponent!

Using them to consume the Iron Pagodas was really unwise!

And!

Those two thousand giant axe soldiers, whether in terms of equipment or food, were too expensive!

Yuan Gonglu didn't feel the pain, but he, Yan Xiang, truly felt the pain!

Sometimes, Yan Xiang really wanted to know!

How did Lin Yang afford to raise fifteen hundred Iron Pagodas!

The consumption of heavy armored infantry was already several times that of ordinary soldiers!

The consumption of heavy armored cavalry was even several times that of heavy armored infantry!

The consumption of those fifteen hundred Iron Pagodas was comparable to tens of thousands of troops!

Could Lin Ziyuan afford this?

"Enough, I have my own plans!"

Looking at Yan Xiang in front of him, Yuan Gonglu indeed had other plans!

Lin Yang's army reinforcing Xia Qiu!

This meant!

In the direction of Peng Cheng, the troops under Seeing Dian Wei were not enough!

A mere twenty thousand troops, and he wanted to block Ji Ling under his command!

"Pass the order down, starting from tomorrow, let Zhang Xun lead thirty thousand troops, take advantage of the night to set off, and head to Peng Cheng!"

Although Yuan Gonglu was unhappy in his heart, he was not stupid!

The reason why he split his troops into two routes in the first place!

Was for!

The purpose of biting off a piece of meat from Xuzhou!

Peng Cheng Commandery and Xiapi Commandery, he had to get one of them no matter what!

Since Lin Yang came to Xia Qiu!

Then he, Yuan Gonglu, would swallow Peng Cheng!

"My lord, you!"

Yuan Gonglu's sudden move made Yan Xiang stunned for a moment, and then joy appeared on his face!

The lord was deliberately confusing Lin Yang!

His real goal was to take Peng Cheng Commandery!

With the forty thousand troops under Ji Ling, plus thirty thousand troops, taking Peng Cheng Commandery was definitely no problem!

"I leave this place to you, don't let Zhao Zilong be suspicious!"

With a sharp light flashing in his eyes, Yuan Gonglu's gaze looked in the direction of Peng Cheng Commandery!

"Lin Ziyuan, when you lose Peng Cheng Commandery, let's see how you can be proud!"

After all, he was a descendant of four generations of three excellencies; Yuan Gonglu's brain was not as stupid as imagined!

Understanding Yuan Gonglu's plan, a sharp light also appeared in Yan Xiang's eyes!

He really didn't misjudge the person!

His lord had already anticipated Lin Yang's anticipation!

This wave, his lord would definitely win!

Xuzhou, Peng Cheng Commandery, Peng Cheng!

"With Xuangao's reinforcement this time, this Peng Cheng is as solid as a rock!"

Looking at the arriving Zang Ba, a sigh of relief appeared on Seeing Dian Wei's face!

With twenty thousand troops resisting the attack of forty thousand troops, he was also under great pressure!

Fortunately, Zang Ba's five thousand troops arrived, and they even brought him good news!

"Elai, you are too polite; however, the war in your Peng Cheng doesn't seem to be very intense?"

Zang Ba, who had arrived, looked at the war in Peng Cheng in front of him and couldn't help but feel a trace of doubt!

Ji Ling's army was attacking the city, but it was not as fierce as imagined!

According to Zang Ba's understanding!

Shouldn't this battle of Peng Cheng have entered a white-hot stage?

After all, Ji Ling must have received the intelligence that Lin Yang was reinforcing Xia Qiu!

"I don't know, ever since Ji Ling surrounded Peng Cheng, the offensive has always been like this!"

Seeing Dian Wei shook his head; he also didn't understand!

This Ji Ling didn't seem to be in a hurry at all!

He didn't have a military advisor by his side, so he couldn't even ask anyone!

"There is something strange!"

Zang Ba muttered a sentence; he also couldn't understand it!

However!

Soon Zang Ba stopped caring!

Anyway, their task was to hold Peng Cheng County!

As long as they dragged out Ji Ling and waited for the lord to attack from Wu County, they could strike from the front and rear and defeat Ji Ling!

And just when Zang Ba and Seeing Dian Wei met, on the other side, outside Peng Cheng County!

"Urgent report for my lord!"
