Chapter 285

"Master, rest assured, Sun Wentai's troops are insufficient, and crossing Danyang Commandery to fight in the hinterland of Wu Jun, if there are many troops, they also have no grain and forage supply!"

Danyang Commandery is not in Sun Jian's hands!

If he sends a large number of troops to attack Wu Jun, his own strength to guard Yuzhang Commandery will also be insufficient!

And!

The supply of grain and forage for an isolated army deep in enemy territory is the biggest problem!

Wanting to cross Danyang Commandery and provide grain and forage to Wu Jun from Lujiang Commandery!

This is undoubtedly a fantasy!

"Hmm, hmm!"

Lin Yang nodded, very much agreeing with Guo Jia's view!

This is ancient warfare!

Grain and forage are of the utmost importance!

The army does not move, grain and forage go first; this is not a joke!

Without grain and forage, no matter how many hundreds of thousands of troops you have, they will still completely collapse!

Yuan Benchu was defeated in the Battle of Guandu in this way!

"So, Sun Jian will send at most two thousand troops to cut off our grain route!"

Their grain and forage should have already departed from Wu Jun and be on the way!

It won't take half a month for the normal grain and forage to arrive!

But now!

There is a problem!

"Master, should we quickly send troops to support?"

Chen Yu on the side quickly spoke!

In his view!

Sun Jian will send at most two thousand troops to cut off their grain route!

Then they can directly send troops to guard the grain route!

As long as there is a supply of grain and forage, they can completely drag Sun Jian down, wait for Yuan Gonglu to return and send troops, and attack Sun Jian together!

"No, Master, not only do we not send troops to reinforce the grain route, but we must pretend not to know!"

As soon as Chen Yu's suggestion came out, Guo Jia immediately vetoed it!

There are some things that Chen Yu, who just defected, doesn't understand yet!

But Guo Jia is very clear!

"Master, this plan we can..."

Leaning slowly into Lin Yang's ear, listening to Guo Jia's suggestion, Lin Yang's eyes also revealed brilliance!

"Good, just do as Fengxiao says, the army will set off tomorrow to attack Yushan!"

Lin Yang gave the order, and Chen Yu on the side was completely confused!

What exactly happened!

Lin Yang actually ignored the grain and forage?

Without a supply of grain and forage, how can the army attack?

Chen Yu was completely dumbfounded!

The next day, outside Kuaiji City

"Gongwei, this time you only need to lead five thousand soldiers to guard Kuaiji Commandery!"

Looking at the worried Chen Yu in front of him, Lin Yang comforted him!

"Master, rest assured, I will inevitably guard this city for the Master!"

Although he said this, if he hadn't already defected to Lin Yang, plus his elder brother was under Lin Yang's command!

Just based on Lin Yang's actions yesterday, he really didn't think highly of it!

This time, leading fifty thousand troops to march to Yushan, and only bringing half a month's grain and forage!

This made him feel uneasy!

Once the grain is cut off, everything will be over!

Half a moment later, watching Lin Yang's army leave, Chen Yu also shook his head, hoping his worry was unnecessary!

And just as Lin Yang's army was moving forward, on the other side, in the Yushan military camp

"Master, this time the key to victory or defeat in the great battle lies in the grain and forage!"

In the main tent of the Yushan camp, Zhou Yu explained the key to this great battle!

In terms of troops!

They are not as good as Lin Yang!

In terms of elite troops, they are also not as good as Lin Yang!

The only thing they can rely on is the advantage of the terrain!

They occupy the two commanderies of Yuzhang and Lujiang, and the grain and forage supply is complete!

And on Lin Yang's side, because the grain and forage in Kuaiji Commandery have been attacked by the Baiyue, the grain and forage reserves are not many!

Lin Yang can only constantly transport grain and forage from Wu Jun!

As long as the grain and forage from Wu Jun are cut off!

Lin Yang's army will inevitably run out of grain!

"Hmm, this time we can only wait for Bofu's news!"

Sun Jian, Zhou Yu, Zhang Zhao, Han Dang, and others sat here!

But they could only hope that Sun Ce could successfully cut off the grain and forage!

Otherwise!

They would have no chance to crush Lin Yang's army in one fell swoop!

At the same time, Wu Jun, outside Yuhang County

"Young Master, scouts report that Lin Yang's grain and forage have left Yuhang, and in less than half a day, they will reach our location!"

Ten kilometers outside the city, Sun Ce led Cheng Pu and two thousand soldiers, all here!

They traveled through Danyang Commandery and came here for the purpose of cutting off Lin Yang's grain and forage!

"Hmm, order the soldiers, as long as they rob this grain and forage, they will have something to eat!"

Sun Ce nodded and also spoke to boost the morale of the soldiers!

Traveling across Danyang Commandery!

The two thousand elite troops under his command were also in a situation of running out of grain!

These two thousand soldiers of his have no logistics grain and forage supply!

The dry rations they carried with them had long since been eaten up!

"Yes, Master!"

The soldiers on the side, hearing that there was something to eat, excitedly went to pass the word!

Cheng Pu on the side, looking at this scene, still had a lingering fear in his eyes!

An isolated army deep in enemy territory!

It is always exceptionally dangerous!

If they couldn't successfully cut off the grain, they wouldn't even be able to capture the city with these two thousand people, and could only wait for defeat or raid the villages!

Fortunately, they succeeded now!

As time passed bit by bit, half a day later

"Hurry, transport the grain and forage to Kuaiji Commandery as soon as possible, and we can rest!"

On the winding road, the soldiers transporting the grain and forage were constantly shouting!

These grain and forage were the grain that departed from Wu Jun and was being transported to Kuaiji Commandery!

"Kill... kill... kill....."

Just as the grain transport vehicles arrived, the next moment, from the mountains and forests on both sides, a sound of killing rang out, and the figures of two thousand soldiers quickly rushed out!

"Not good, there are enemies, quickly block them!"

The one thousand soldiers escorting the grain and forage, seeing Sun Ce and the others rushing out suddenly, resisted for a moment, and were instantly killed and fled in disarray!

After only fighting for half a moment, the large battlefield was completely occupied by Sun Ce and the others!
