Chapter 338

Xuzhou, Donghai Commandery, Hexiang City

As dozens of carriages moved forward to the border of Xuzhou, on the plain opposite, more than a dozen carriages were also approaching!

"The things you wanted have been brought!"

The skilled merchant opened the cotton-padded clothes on the carriages and then looked at the people before him!

These were the people from the noble clans and wealthy merchants of Yanzhou!

Among these dozens of carriages were a full twenty thousand cotton-padded garments!

Calculated at one thousand coins per piece, the value of this batch of goods reached as high as twenty million coins!

"Couldn't you have brought more?"

Seeing that it was another twenty thousand items, the noble clan member who had arrived said with slight dissatisfaction!

It was twenty thousand items every time!

It was simply too few!

The population of Yanzhou was numerous, and there were not a few among them who could afford to buy!

Only twenty thousand items a month, divided among the various commanderies and counties, was only a few hundred pieces each!

Too few!

"I'm sorry, these goods are in short supply, we..."

The merchant was still speaking when, the next moment, he felt the earth shake!

Then, he saw smoke and dust rising on the plain, and then figures of cavalrymen charged toward them!

"Oh no!"

He exclaimed, and the next moment, the merchant and his men did not hesitate at all and immediately fled rapidly!

They even abandoned the goods directly!

Cavalry!

The appearance of cavalry on the Yanzhou side meant something that was already self-evident!

"Seize all the goods and money! These things belong to me, Lu Fengxian!"

Following a loud shout, the next moment, the carriages the noble clans wanted to escape with were all blocked!

Surrounded by the figures of the cavalry, they were given no chance to explain before all the numerous items were confiscated!

Not only were Lin Yang's goods confiscated!

Even the more than twenty million coins of the Yanzhou noble clans were all plundered by this group of cavalry!

As the warhorses left, the noble clans were all extremely furious, watching this scene with gnashing teeth!

"Lu Bu, Lu Fengxian, go to hell!"

The noble clan members were extremely angry, but they were helpless!

Many of them already suspected that this was very likely not Lu Bu's doing!

But what could they do about it!

They didn't dare to suspect Cao Mengde!

A long moment later, in a wilderness in Yanzhou

"My lord, the count is finished. This batch of goods is worth twenty million coins, plus the two thousand gold from the noble clans. We've struck it rich this time!"

Xia Hou Dun's face revealed a smile; they had earned four thousand gold this time!

The speed at which money came in was just too fast!

How many shi of grain could this buy!

"Enough, it's merely four thousand gold!"

Glancing at the unambitious Xia Hou Dun, Cao Mengde's face was filled more with apprehension!

This was just one of Lin Yang's business deals!

How many times had he traded before!

How much wealth had Lin Ziyuan actually collected!

He dared not imagine it!

Cao Mengde's heart was full of worry!

However!

After this time, he thought it would also put an end to Lin Yang's plan to sell cotton-padded clothes!

As long as Lin Yang dared to sell!

He, Cao Mengde, dared to rob it all directly!

This time, it was an attitude shown to Lin Yang and the Yanzhou noble clans!

"Let's go!"

Whipping his horse, Cao Mengde also took these things and headed in another direction!

And almost at the same time Cao Mengde succeeded, the news of the Xuzhou cotton-padded clothes being plundered also spread!

Yuzhou, Pei State

"Fart! Would I go and plunder those mere cotton-padded clothes?!"

Lu Bu, who received the news first, cursed out loud!

Would he, the dignified Marquis of Wen, go and plunder those cotton-padded clothes!

"Hmph, how much are those cotton-padded clothes worth!"

Curling his lips in disdain, Lu Bu didn't care about such things at all!

Cotton-padded clothes?

He had never even heard of such a thing!

He imagined it was about the same as coarse cloth and hemp garments!
