Chapter 388

At this moment, Lu Su gazed upon the full nine hundred thousand plus refugees, his entire being numb.

When they departed, there had been only eight hundred thousand; yet along the journey, they had taken in so many more refugees.

The issue of settling these refugees was a massive trouble.

"With the Master's sweet potatoes, the matter of the refugees should not be difficult."

Guo Jia chuckled lightly; as for the refugee affair, he cared nothing for it.

Such matters of internal administration were best left to Lu Su.

"Lu Lu Zijing, the capable bear more burdens; you take the lead on this for now."

A crisp voice sounded as Lin Yang entered, smiling at Lu Su.

Nowadays, there was not a single talent for internal administration present in the hall.

If Lu Su would not do it, then Guo Jia would have to.

These were nine hundred thousand refugees, after all.

If only they were settled properly, tens of thousands of troops could be recruited from them.

"Alas, it can only be so."

With a sigh, Lu Su, at this moment, could do nothing but take charge.

Just as Lin Yang, Guo Jia, and the others had barely taken their seats, the next instant, a soldier from outside rushed in hurriedly.

"Report, Master! War dispatch from Jiujiang Commandery: Lu Bu led his forces to crush Sun Jian's department and has now advanced into Lujiang Commandery!"

"Zu Mao, under Sun Jian's command, died in battle; Sun Wentai sought revenge and suffered heavy injuries."

The sudden war dispatch caused the expressions of Lin Yang, Guo Jia, Lu Su, and the others to change instantly.

What was happening?

Had Sun Jian's army been crushed so quickly?

Was it really that fragile?

For a moment, Guo Jia's brows knitted tightly as he turned his gaze toward the map.

"Master, we must dispatch troops immediately."

Guo Jia spoke, a trace of worry evident in his expression.

If Lu Bu defeated Sun Jian and completely occupied Lujiang Commandery, then Yangzhou would likely face upheaval.

For this campaign against Yuzhou, they had shifted their entire main force to the Xuzhou region.

"Send orders to Taishi Ci to lead his troops and hold Lu Bu at bay."

"Additionally, have Cheng Cheng Zhongde lead Dian Wei and Zhou Tai to Qingzhou."

"Deploy Huang Zhong and Zhou Yu south to Guangling."
