Chapter 1: E-rank Water Talent Ability

Donghai City, First Middle School.

Third year of high school, Water Element Class.

"Students, today we will teach you an E-rank Water Element Technique—Water Shield Technique. This technique possesses decent defensive effects, especially when countering Fire Element Technique attacks; it will provide even better defensive capabilities."

"If you all cannot get into an Ability University, if you have mastered the Water Shield Technique, you can apply to be a firefighter. The Water Shield Technique is also a mandatory technique for every firefighter!"

"As for the few students in the class with F-rank Water Talent Ability, I am afraid it will be very difficult for you to master the Water Shield Technique. You don't need to listen carefully; just work hard to master the F-rank Water Element Technique, Water Sprinkling Technique. It wouldn't be bad to work as a sanitation worker after graduation."

Below the podium.

Ye Tian was completely bewildered as he listened. Water Shield Technique, Water Sprinkling Technique?

o((⊙﹏⊙))o What kind of nonsense is this?

He looked at the textbooks on the desk, which were also bizarre.

"Water Element Technique Types!"

"On the Importance of Innate Ability Grades!"

"Complete Collection of Water Element Techniques!"

Abruptly.

A surge of massive memories emerged. Gradually, he accepted these memories and finally understood what had happened.

"I actually transmigrated!"

The name of this body is also Ye Tian, a student in the third-year Water Element Class at Donghai City First Middle School. Because his talent was too poor, being only an F-rank Water Talent Ability user, he had secretly practiced a Forbidden Technique in order to get into university.

As a result, the Forbidden Technique practice failed, and the backlash caused damage to his soul.

And just a moment ago, the backlash from the Forbidden Technique swept through again, causing the predecessor to die on the spot, which benefited him, the one who transmigrated.

According to the memories, this world is somewhat similar to the Earth of his previous life.

This world has many countries, and the place where he lives is called Xia Country.

Nearly fifty percent of the population in Xia Country has awakened an Innate Ability, and anyone who has awakened an Innate Ability can learn Strange Arts.

For example, F-rank Water Talent Ability users can only practice F-rank Water Element Techniques, but F-rank Water Element Techniques are all some very trashy techniques, such as Water Sprinkling Technique, Condensing Water Technique, and Cleaning Technique. Ability users of this grade are undoubtedly good hands at being sanitation workers.

Many jobs in this world are closely related to Strange Arts. If one cannot even awaken an Innate Ability, it will be difficult to find a job in the future.

Everyone continuously practices Strange Arts, which will gradually increase their ability power, and their strength will slowly improve. After reaching a limit, they will become a true Ability User.

Ability User, Ability Master, Ability Grandmaster, etc. —these are the major realms that a Talented Ability User needs to go through step by step to improve.

And Ye Tian is not even a Primary Ability User right now; he counts as an Ability Apprentice.

In fact, many people are Ability Apprentices, and it is feared that it will be difficult for them to become Ability Users in their entire lives.

"System?"

Ye Tian called out in his heart, but there was no response at all.

"It's over. Transmigrated without a system; how am I supposed to rise?"

Ye Tian's mood instantly turned sour.

11:30 AM.

The teacher announced the end of class.

High school in this world is different from his previous life; classes are only held in the morning. There are no classes in the afternoon, which is time given to students to practice Strange Arts.

Ye Tian followed his memories and returned home.

In this world, he is an orphan. His parents were once Ability Users in the Donghai City Ability Brigade. A mission caused both of his parents to fall, but the government was decent and provided a lot of subsidies, enough for him to live for many years.

Ye Tian's home is still quite large, a full 200 square meters. After all, his parents were also very wealthy when they were alive, but now, living alone in such a large house undoubtedly feels very empty.

"Let's practice the Water Sprinkling Technique. If there is really no way to rise, I can only rely on the Water Sprinkling Technique to find a job in the future!"

He came to the room specifically for practicing Strange Arts. This place had been converted by him into a venue for practicing Water-type Strange Techniques. The walls were made of special materials, sufficient to withstand the impact of C-rank techniques.

Ye Tian sensed the Water Element energy inside his body and soon sensed a point of light. Wisps of energy permeated out from this point of light.

Then, he used his mental power to connect these Water Element ability powers to form the inscription pattern of the Water Sprinkling Technique.

Whoosh!!!!

Drops of water formed and sprinkled within a three-meter radius around him.

"Trash. A mere Water Sprinkling Technique, the predecessor only practiced it to Entry Level. With this level, even the sanitation department wouldn't want me!"

Ye Tian complained.

Subsequently, he cast the Water Sprinkling Technique again and again, hoping to improve the Water Sprinkling Technique step by step to the Small Success Realm. This practice process was also a process of strengthening and tempering his Water Element ability power. He still wanted to become a true Ability User!

After casting the Water Sprinkling Technique dozens of times, Ye Tian felt that the Water Element ability inside his body was exhausted, and his body was also extremely fatigued.

Therefore.

He prepared to take a hot bath. According to the descriptions in his memories, it is very beneficial for Water Talent Ability users to take baths frequently.

After filling the water and taking off his clothes, Ye Tian walked into the bathtub and began to soak.

Time passed minute by minute.

Suddenly.

【Water Power +1】

"What the hell???"

Ye Tian thought he was hallucinating.

Suddenly, a Data Panel appeared before his eyes again.

【Host: Ye Tian】www. bǐqυgetν. ℃ǒm

【Realm: Primary Ability Apprentice】

【Innate Ability: Water Element F-rank (16/100)】

【Strange Art: F-rank Water Sprinkling Technique (Entry Level)】

"A golden finger!!!!" Ye Tian widened his eyes, "I knew it, how could a transmigrator not be given a golden finger!"

Judging from this Data Panel, his Water Talent Ability was still a long way from an E-Grade Water Element Talent.

"Innate Abilities are almost fixed for everyone and cannot be improved, unless it is that kind of extremely rare Heavenly Material and Earthly Treasure, which might make it possible to raise the grade of an Innate Ability. Could it be that this golden finger of mine can raise the grade of an Innate Ability???"

Ye Tian thought to himself.

He continued to observe.

Very quickly.

【Water Power +1】

At this moment, he discovered that the F-Grade Water Element had become (17/100); this meant that the Water Power he obtained could improve his Water Talent Ability.

But where did this Water Power come from?

"Could it be from taking a bath?"

Ye Tian guessed.

To prove this guess, he prepared to get out of the bathtub.

Sure enough, when he was no longer in contact with water, he did not obtain any Water Power for a long time.

After testing it time and again, he discovered that as long as he soaked in water for ten minutes, he could obtain one point of Water Power.

"One point of Water Power every ten minutes, that's 6 points of Water Power in an hour. As long as I soak in the bath for a dozen hours or so, wouldn't my Water Talent Ability be able to upgrade to E-Grade?" Thinking of this, he became incomparably excited.

"For the sake of upgrading, I'm going to take this bath!"

Following this, Ye Tian kept soaking in the bath; fortunately, he was a Beginner Ability Apprentice with good physical fitness, otherwise, an ordinary person really wouldn't be able to handle soaking for a dozen hours.

Of course, he didn't just soak without ever getting up.

Time slowly passed.

It was late at night.

At this time, Ye Tian's Water Talent Ability had already reached (99/100); as long as he persisted a little longer, he could upgrade his Water Talent Ability.

【Water Power +1】

Seeing this notification, Ye Tian was incredibly excited.

Boom!

A surge of heat swept through his entire body, and his physical fitness also improved just a little bit.

About ten minutes later, the Water Talent Ability had already upgraded.

【Innate Ability: Water Element E-Grade (0/100)】

"The Water Talent Ability has been raised to E-Grade; it should still be possible to continue improving it, let me continue testing."

He continued to soak in the bath to see how long it would take to obtain one point of Water Power.

This time, he soaked for ten minutes, but the result was that he did not obtain any Water Power.

Consequently, he kept soaking, and it wasn't until he had soaked for half an hour that he finally obtained one point of Water Power.

"It seems that the higher the grade of the Innate Ability, the more difficult it becomes to obtain Water Power from water!"

Ye Tian thought secretly.

Although it was difficult, if he soaked in the bath for two extra hours every day to obtain a few points of Water Power, at most twenty days would be enough to raise his Water Talent Ability to D-Grade, which was also quite good.

Suddenly.

He thought of one thing.

"If I can obtain Water Power from water, then can I obtain Fire Power from fire?"
