Chapter 15: Altar, Reporting

Over these past half a month, Ye Tian raised another Innate Ability potential from C-Grade to B-Grade, and also mastered a B-grade Strange Art—Finger to Steel Technique; this is a B-grade Metal Ability, and also a Strange Art specifically designed to counter the Earth Escape Technique.

Since Ye Tian had previously mastered the Earth Escape Technique, he naturally had to master this Finger to Steel Technique.

……

Southwest of the East Sea Base Market, there is a large river—the Donglan River; the end of this river is the East Sea, and the surging river water flows into the sea.

There are also some Beasts in the Donglan River, but Talented Ability Users rarely recruit Beasts from the rivers.

After all, except for Water Element Talented Ability Users, Talented Ability Users of other elements find it very difficult to defeat Beasts of the same rank in the water.

Especially Fire Element and Earth Element Talented Ability Users, who are countered to death; they likely cannot even defeat Beasts one rank lower.

Ye Tian, however, has enjoyed hunting Beasts in the Donglan River these days, and the price of Water Element Beasts is also very high, allowing him to earn quite a lot of money.

This day.

Ye Tian came to the bank of the Donglan River again and cast Water Clone.

Hum!

The Water Clone entered the Donglan River, silent and soundless; one could not see the clone merging into it at all.

Subsequently, his Water Clone searched for traces of Beasts within a one-thousand-meter radius.

Originally, Ye Tian was only hunting Beasts in the Donglan River, but he did not expect to discover an unexpected situation.

A Water Element Talented Ability User was wantonly hunting Beasts in the Donglan River, taking them away after killing each Water Element Beast.

This was originally a very simple matter, but what was strange was that this Water Element Talented Ability User even wanted the corpses of Level 1 early-stage Beasts, not letting go of a single Water Element Beast corpse.

This is not normal!

"This Water Element Talented Ability User's strength is terrifying; I estimate they are an Ability Master, and not just an ordinary Ability Master. Such a powerful Talented Ability User could absolutely not take a fancy to the corpses of mere Level 1 early-stage Water Element Beasts," Ye Tian thought to himself.

Consequently, he followed this Ability Master.

Very quickly, the other party went ashore and sneaked into a dense forest not far away.

And Ye Tian's Water Clone was not convenient to continue following.

"I will cast Earth Escape Technique to go over and see what this guy is up to?"

Subsequently.

He cast Earth Escape Technique to advance underground, and also cast Fire Eye Technique to spy on the situation above ground.

Not long after, he found that Ability Master again.

At this moment.

Ye Tian spied that there were more than a dozen Talented Ability Users here, and the aura of one of the Talented Ability Users was incomparably terrifying; his Fire Eye Technique only dared to observe for a glance, not daring to observe the other party continuously.

He used Earth Escape Technique to sneak to a position only one meter from the surface, a little distance away from those people.

With the power of his Earth Talent Ability, even at a position one meter underground, he could hear the sound of their conversation, just not that clearly.

"Lord Blood Claw, this is the Water Element Beast corpse that your subordinate obtained."

"Go and put it into the Altar. You all still have to work hard these few days to go and hunt more Beasts. That group of guys in Donghai City is still searching for us; in order not to be exposed, we can only sacrifice these Water Element Beasts to the great Lord Evil God!"

"As long as Lord Evil God can bestow a sliver of power, I will have the confidence to break through to the Ability Grandmaster realm; at that time, I will definitely take revenge on them!"

"Yes, Lord Blood Claw!"

Ye Tian was immediately shocked upon hearing the conversation of this group of people.

"Evil God!"

He roughly guessed the identity of this group of people.

Members of the Evil God Society, and this Lord Blood Claw should be that Peak Ability Master of the Evil God Society who has been making a huge stir in Donghai City recently.

"It is said that this Peak Ability Master finished off several Ability Masters and is being hunted by the Donghai City Ability Association; now, they actually want to use the ritual of sacrificing to the Evil God to obtain the Evil God's power to charge at the Ability Grandmaster realm!"

Ye Tian did not want an Ability Grandmaster of the Evil God Society to be born here in Donghai City, otherwise, it would bring great trouble to Donghai City, and might even affect himself.

"Must stop them!"

Ye Tian had this thought.

But with his strength, it was naturally impossible to be an opponent of a Peak Ability Master; the other party could kill him in seconds with any random Strange Art.

Thinking back and forth, he felt there was only one way to stop this group of Evil God Society members.

"Report!"

He prepared to report this group of Evil God Society members to the Donghai City Ability Association; currently, the Ability Association attaches great importance to this matter, so even if they do not quite believe his report, they will still dispatch a Peak Ability Master to take a look, right?

The Altar here cannot be moved, so it will inevitably be exposed when the time comes.

"It is decided!"

……

Donghai City, Ability Association building.

A middle-aged man wearing black casual clothes, a peaked cap, and sunglasses walked in.

He was Ye Tian's Water Clone.

Although he said he came to report, he would not be foolish enough to come personally; wouldn't that expose his identity!

What if the news leaked one day, what would he do if the Evil God Society came to trouble him?

Therefore, he still hid his identity and used the Water Clone with a changed appearance to report.

After he entered the Ability Association building, he broke directly into an area where non-internal members are forbidden to enter.

Immediately, he was intercepted by several Ability Users.

"You are not allowed to enter here!"

One of the Ability Association's Ability Users said.

"I have discovered the traces of Blood Claw of the Evil God Society!"

Ye Tian revealed.

The Ability Users of the Ability Association were stunned upon hearing this.

Any news regarding the Evil God Society was major news; they were unsure if Ye Tian was telling the truth, but they dared not guarantee that what Ye Tian said was false either!

Consequently, they immediately notified an Ability Master of the Ability Association.

Ten-odd seconds passed, and a woman appeared before Ye Tian.

This woman wore a form-fitting combat suit and looked to be only in her twenties, but the lifespan of an Ability Master is much longer than that of an ordinary person, so one cannot judge age by appearance.

"Master Liu Xin!"

Several Ability Users said respectfully.

Liu Xin nodded slightly, then her gaze fixed on Ye Tian: "Water-type Ability User, you say you have grasped the trail of Blood Claw from the Evil God Society?"

"Yes!" Ye Tian revealed directly: "Blood Claw is currently setting up an Altar in a place in the wilderness, using the corpses of Water-type Beasts as sacrificial offerings; whether there are other sacrificial offerings, I do not know. In short, he intends to summon an Evil God using a sacrificial Array and utilize a sliver of Evil God power to break through to the Ability Grandmaster realm."

A sacrificial Array!

Liu Xin's expression changed.

She had heard of this kind of sacrificial Array, but they all required paying a heavy price, and it was impossible for it to only require the corpses of some Water-type Beasts; those Beast corpses were at most just the basic requirements for the sacrificial Array.

Even for the Evil God Society, wanting to summon an Evil God required paying a great price.

At the very least, it would require sacrificing the lifespans of some Ability Users, and there would have to be very precious sacrificial items, such as certain Heavenly Material and Earthly Treasure, otherwise the Evil God would not descend.

"Where is it?"

Liu Xin somewhat believed Ye Tian's words.

Ye Tian stated the location of that Altar, then prepared to leave.

But Liu Xin naturally would not allow Ye Tian to leave.

"Stop, you cannot leave yet!"

Liu Xin attempted to grab Ye Tian.

However.

Splash!

Ye Tian's body turned into a mass of water and dissipated, leaving behind only a few pieces of clothing.

"Water Clone!!!!"

Everyone was stunned.

Even Liu Xin had not seen that this was a Water Clone.

"A Water Clone at the Consummation Realm!" Liu Xin had heard that once the B-grade Ability Water Clone is cultivated to the Consummation Realm, it can condense a Water Clone that is just like a real person, though it will be exposed once it fights.

But if it does not fight, even a Grandmaster would not easily see through it.

Furthermore, a Water Clone at the Consummation Realm can change into various appearances, male or female, and one would have no idea where the true body is.
