Chapter 61: Sword Intent Level

In one day, his Sword Technique improved from Micro Level to Perfect Level.

Li Haoyang was too shocked; was Sword Technique really this easy to cultivate?

Bah, it was clearly just that Ye Tian was too monstrous!

"Ye Tian's talent in Strange Art is already monstrous; he killed so many Black Scale Clan Intent Geniuses and Gold Scale Clan geniuses with higher cultivation than his own by his own power, so is it reasonable that his sword talent is outstanding?"

"Reasonable my foot!!!"

The more Li Haoyang thought about it, the more jealous he became!

Of course, he quickly adjusted his mindset.

Boom!!!!!

The two of them clashed.

Looking at the Sword Technique, Ye Tian was still inferior to Li Haoyang, but it was not that easy for Li Haoyang to defeat Ye Tian without exerting his Grandmaster Level physical fitness.

After dozens of moves, Ye Tian was finally defeated by Li Haoyang.

Afterwards.

Ye Tian fought and sparred with Li Haoyang again, which could be considered honing themselves against each other.

Time gradually passed for over an hour, and the two of them logged off.

Since there was an interval before the second round of the competition, they needed to wait another five days; these five days were also crucial, as someone might break through to the next realm of Weapon Dao during this period.

Ye Tian also used these five days to constantly hone his Sword Technique, frequently sparring with Li Haoyang, and also finding Lin Su; after all, now that he possessed a Perfect Level Sword Technique, finding Mentor Lin Su counted as sparring rather than instruction, so it would not waste Lin Su's time.

After logging off, he would use the Enlightenment Technique to summarize his experience and insights to improve his Sword Technique level.

Just like that, his Sword Technique improved every day, and gradually he was able to match Li Haoyang.

Five days passed.

The second round of the competition began.

This time, the Top Ten would be decided.

Whether it was the Top Ten of the Ability Master Tournament or the Top Ten of the Ability Grandmaster Tournament, both were crucial.

……

Sky Dome Network, personal space.

Ye Tian logged in, waiting for the start of the second round of the competition.

Hum!

The competition began.

Ye Tian entered the Battle Platform and welcomed his first opponent.

"It's him!"

The opponent was someone he had fought before, with Micro Level spear technique and very rich combat experience.

As for what their name was, he had not paid attention.

The opponent also recognized Ye Tian, their face showing gravity as they charged over with full force.

Pfft!

A sword strike passed through.

Instant kill!

Soon, match after match passed.

His opponents almost all had Micro Level weapon attainments, but when he met his sixth opponent, he finally encountered an Ability Master who had grasped Perfect Level weapon attainments.

This time.

Ye Tian fought with the opponent for a long time, and when it was almost the hundredth move, he finally pierced through the opponent's neck with a sword, killing the opponent, but he himself was also pierced through the abdomen by a sword during the opponent's dying counterattack, though he did not die.

Just like that, he won!

Afterwards, he did not encounter any more opponents with Perfect Level weapon attainments.

After match after match, the Top Ten were almost locked in.

Soon, the Top Ten list appeared.

Ye Tian saw his own name on it.

"One Enlightenment Leaf in hand; although this thing doesn't have high value for me, I can sell it, and it can definitely be exchanged for good things," Ye Tian muttered.

The Ability Master level competition ended very early, but the Grandmaster level competition did not end so quickly.

After all, for Grandmaster Level Talented Ability Users, the top one hundred all had Perfect Level weapon attainments, and the gap in combat power between them was very small; even if one grasped Conception level weapon attainments, without being able to use Artistic Conception, it would take some effort to defeat a Grandmaster with Perfect Level weapon attainments, so the battle would not end quickly.

Therefore.

The Grandmaster level competition lasted until past seven in the evening before the Top Ten were decided.

Without a doubt, Lin Su and Li Haoyang both lost, stopping at the Top One Hundred.

However, they could obtain an Enlightenment Leaf, so they were undoubtedly very satisfied.

……

Donghai University.

Ye Tian was chatting with Mentor Li Haoyang.

"Ye Tian, there are five more days until the Top Ten finals; do you have confidence in winning first place?"

Li Haoyang asked.

"I'm not sure," Ye Tian did not dare to guarantee, "In the Top Ten, six people possess Perfect Level Sword Technique; in particular, one of them—although I haven't fought him, I've watched the replays—can easily defeat other Ability Masters with Perfect Level Sword Technique attainments. Currently, I only have a twenty percent chance of defeating him."

"You're talking about Xu Xingchen of the Kyoto Xu Family, right? It is said that he has an Innate Sword Body constitution. Humans rarely have innate constitutions; it is almost always the alien races of the Earth Cave World that have various special constitutions. With an Innate Sword Body, practicing the sword is too easy. Xu Xingchen is only seventeen this year and has a Perfect Level Sword Technique, but I feel he might have reached the Sword Intent level. It's just that in the Sky Dome Network, one cannot sense Sword Intent, and if one deliberately hides it, it's not easy to see," Li Haoyang said.

"Sword Intent level Sword Technique; if that's really the case, I estimate I don't even have a sliver of hope." Ye Tian still really wanted to win first place; this was also an honor!

Immediately, he asked for advice: "Mentor, is there any way to quickly grasp Sword Intent?"

"I want to as well!" Li Haoyang rolled his eyes: "I wish I could comprehend Blade Intent immediately, but I can't do it!"

But soon, he remembered something and added: "If you want to quickly comprehend Sword Intent, it's not impossible. For example, if you create a top-tier Sword Technique yourself, there is a certain chance your mind will resonate with the Heavenly Sword Dao, thereby comprehending Sword Intent."

"So that's how it is!"

Ye Tian understood.

Night fell.

Ye Tian did not rest, but instead took out various Sword Technique manuals, and even some Sword Technique manuals from the Earth Cave World.

There were five days left until the third round of the tournament.

He prepared to use these five days to create a top-tier Sword Technique, so as to make his mind resonate with the Heavenly Sword Dao; then, with the comprehension he would have after activating the Enlightenment Technique, he would certainly comprehend Sword Intent with 100% certainty.

"Let's try it this way; it doesn't matter if I fail."

Ye Tian began his closed-door cultivation and research, and he prepared many materials to keep on his person to constantly restore his Ability Potential; after all, he had to keep the Enlightenment Technique activated, which consumed a great deal of his various innate ability origins.

One day!

Two days!

Three days!

It was not until the fifth day that Ye Tian finally, with the help of the Enlightenment Technique time and again, created a top-tier Sword Technique.

This top-tier Sword Technique followed the path of breaking ten thousand techniques with a single force, concentrating one's entire strength at a single point with extreme speed to slash out a sword light that could break ten thousand techniques; if combined with other Artistic Conceptions, its power would be terrifying.

In close combat, it could be called invincible, and it was specialized in breaking defenses.

He named it the Heaven-Slaying Sword Drawing Technique!

The moment the Heaven-Slaying Sword Drawing Technique was created, his consciousness seemed to observe a long river condensed from countless Sword Intents, and he could only observe a projection of it.

"Heavenly Sword Dao!"

Ye Tian immediately consumed his innate ability origin to activate the Enlightenment Technique, contemplating the Heavenly Sword Dao to comprehend Sword Intent.

Soon.

Hum!

An aura of Sword Intent permeated Ye Tian's body.

He had successfully comprehended Sword Intent!

And the moment he comprehended Sword Intent, he held his sword and felt that the world was different; even his control over his body had completely crossed into another level.

If this were the real world, the Sword Intent level would be far more powerful than the Consummation level.

"Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth Artistic Conceptions, and Dark Artistic Conception, all merge!"

Ye Tian fused these six Artistic Conceptions with his Sword Intent, and a terrifying power erupted.

He did not slash out this sword, but he was very clear that the more Artistic Conceptions he fused, the greater the consumption when activating the Sword Intent.

In other words, he could not perform this attack many times.

"My cultivation is still too low. If my cultivation were higher, I could almost treat this attack as a basic strike!" Ye Tian thought to himself.

Afterward, he practiced the Sword Technique again and again, sensing the mysteries of Sword Intent.

"Data Panel."

With a thought, the Data Panel appeared.

【Host: Ye Tian】

【Realm: Advanced Ability Master】

【Innate Ability: Dark Element A-Grade (1/100), Mental Element B-Grade (1/100), Water Element A-Grade (93/100), Fire Element A-Grade (1/100), Wood Element S-Grade (1/100), Metal Element S-Grade (1/100), Earth Element A-Grade (1/100), Space Element A-Grade (1/100)】

"Sure enough, Sword Intent is also divided into realms like the Ninth Sequence, Eighth Sequence, etc. It's just that Sword Intent is difficult to enter, but once you enter and comprehend Sword Intent, subsequent improvements shouldn't be too difficult!" Ye Tian thought to himself.

He took out the Mid-grade Strange Treasure Heaven Gate Sword and held it to sense the Sword Intent, discovering that a Mid-grade Strange Treasure like the Heaven Gate Sword had an amplifying effect on contemplating Sword Intent.

"Not bad. With the Heaven Gate Sword, comprehending Sword Intent to the Eighth Sequence should be no problem."

Ye Tian thought.

After comprehending Sword Intent, he rested and slept, waiting for tomorrow's Ability Master Tournament Top Ten finals.

First place, he was determined to take it!
