Chapter 1013: vs Lockdown (Part 2)

"It's here!"

When the sky suddenly darkened.

Everyone, including Sun Cheng, looked up at the sky in unison; there, a giant spaceship was currently obscuring the entire sky.

Sun Cheng frowned and examined it carefully, his gaze lingering for a while on the many suspected weapon launch ports on the ship.

"Prepare for battle, it's coming!"

Sun Cheng did not know who this opponent was this time, so he could only use "it" to describe this unknown target.

But soon, he knew.

The massive spaceship hovered above the Central Main Control Base. Before long, a hatch opened on the smooth underside of the ship, and a beam of light shot out from the hatch, landing straight on the ground.

Sun Cheng and the others stared intently at the beam of light as a tall figure descended from a thousand meters above along this transport device.

And when the light dissipated and he saw the figure that had landed on the ground clearly, the blue light in his eyes immediately became scorching.

"Lockdown?!"

Sun Cheng looked at the tall, silver-gray warrior in front of him in disbelief, and at the same time, many of the questions in his heart were answered.

"So that's it, it's Lockdown!"

After seeing the silver-gray mechanical warrior who walked out of this unknown spaceship clearly, Sun Cheng instantly superimposed this image with a certain image he had glimpsed from Swindle's Memory Data.

In just an instant, he confirmed the other party's identity; it was indeed the Bounty Hunter he had previously invited through Swindle—Lockdown.

Lockdown's gaze had been fixed on Sun Cheng from the very beginning.

When he called out his name, Lockdown looked at him calmly and asked in the language most used on Earth, English: "You know me?"

Deciphering and learning the languages of Earth was an effortless task for Cybertronians who could freely hack into the internet.

Sun Cheng was not surprised that Lockdown could speak English; he had experienced too much over the past few years.

"Your Excellency, the reason Swindle contacted you was because I requested him to send you an invitation!"

With countless thoughts racing through his brain in an instant, Sun Cheng did not overthink it and stated the relationship between himself, Swindle, and Lockdown very directly.

He had learned quite a bit about Lockdown from Swindle.

Facing this madman who was so crazy that he dared to assassinate even the commander of the Decepticon Legion, Megatron, being direct and straightforward, while also demonstrating sufficient force, was the foundation for standing before Lockdown and continuing to cooperate with him.

And if he couldn't do that, it was no surprise that he would become one of Lockdown's many collectibles.

Lockdown's scarlet eyes scanned Sun Cheng's body up and down repeatedly.

It was a fierce look of undisguised malice, as if he were searching for flaws in him every second and would kill Sun Cheng the next.

The Decepticon Commanders standing around Sun Cheng clearly noticed his murderous intent and were about to surround him.

Noticing this scene, he calmly reached out to stop them.

"Fall back, I am the one who summoned him!"

The group of Commanders who were about to close in immediately stopped in their tracks upon hearing this.

A few of the Commanders who had already been promoted to the level of Elite Warrior looked at each other, then took the lead in retreating a dozen meters, clearing a space that was not particularly large for Sun Cheng and the others.

Lockdown just glanced at them coldly; he did not take these Commanders under Sun Cheng's command seriously.

He dared to assassinate even Leader-class Warriors, and if he truly went all out, he might even be able to severely injure or kill Megatron and Optimus Prime.

Precisely because of his confidence in his own strength, Lockdown was fearless.

"You are the one who summoned me, so, what do you want to talk to me about?"

Lockdown asked coldly, his scarlet eyes still locked firmly onto Sun Cheng.

Sun Cheng: "I have a few 'friends' I don't get along with, and I'd like to ask you to see them through their final journey."

Lockdown became interested. "Who?"

"Megatron, Shockwave, Starscream, Onslaught... as long as you dare to take the job, I dare to add more!"

A smile appeared on Sun Cheng's face, and he looked at Lockdown with a playful expression.

Lockdown had been on Earth for at least a month, yet he had only come to see him now.

Sun Cheng was no fool, and besides, the Decepticon Legion's base on the Dark Side of the Moon was not exactly a secret that was hard to discover.

He actually already had a guess in his heart; now it was just a matter of proving it.

The scarlet light in Lockdown's eyes grew a bit brighter in an instant.

Just when Sun Cheng thought he would respond with silence or by asking for payment, the next moment, he knew why even Swindle, a guy who could barely be considered a friend of Lockdown, was unwilling to easily summon him to Earth.

"Bang!"

Lockdown's figure flashed rapidly, and the next moment he was in front of Sun Cheng.

Then, a fierce punch landed squarely on his head, sending him flying.

"Big talk, then let me test if you're qualified!"

The cold voice was only caught by Sun Cheng when he was flying in mid-air.

Feeling a suffocating, dangerous murderous intent locked onto him, Sun Cheng was startled, but the next moment he entered combat mode.

"Boom!"

The moment he landed, he pushed off the ground and jumped up.

"Back off, you are not allowed to interfere!"

He shouted to stop the Commanders who wanted to come over to help, the blue light in his eyes flaring as he stared fixedly at Lockdown.

This was the first time he had faced a powerful Leader-class Warrior directly since changing into his New Body.

The long-lost true battle made Sun Cheng, who had not faced life and death for too long, feel excited.

From his Core to his body, he entered his optimal combat state in an instant.

"Whoosh!"

Lockdown's figure flickered, and with a super-fast running speed near the speed of sound, he quickly crossed the distance of several dozen meters and rushed to Sun Cheng's side.

Sun Cheng had learned from Swindle that Lockdown had modified his own chassis.

During the time of the Council of Ancients on Cybertron, he had purchased a Speed Recharge Device from the Black Market, which allowed him to store more energy during normal times and, by rapidly activating the Speed Recharge Device during combat, gain explosive speed for a short duration.

In the past, during numerous assassination missions, this Speed Recharge Device had helped Lockdown achieve countless successes.

Many Elite Warriors, unable to react to the speed that erupted in an instant after Lockdown activated the Speed Recharge Device, were heavily damaged by him and thus fell into a disadvantageous position.

Even some Leader-class Warriors could only capture his movements but could not keep up with the speed Lockdown erupted with in a short time.

But Sun Cheng was an exception!

Having suffered a small loss the moment they met, when Lockdown prepared to continue using his ultra-high explosive speed to suppress him for a second time, the surface of Sun Cheng's chassis suddenly rippled, and a set of silver-gray Armor quickly appeared on his body.

"Zzzzt!"

It was the harsh sound of Lockdown's five sharp right-hand fingernails, which had attempted to pierce into Sun Cheng's chest but were blocked by that set of Armor, scraping across the Armor like knife blades.

In the instant the two brushed past each other face-to-face, Sun Cheng could even see a look of astonishment appear on Lockdown's face.
